    Beautiful truck. I love those old 5 and 6 spoke hubs. I kinda wish they were still in use.

    My dad had one like it back in the early 60s. Had a 190 Cummins on propane 5spd with a split axel. I spent a good part of my early childhood in the passenger seat.

      Cummins engines are diesel, not powered via propane

      @@gordonfleming851 yes, but he means it was converted to run on propane

    pictures and the video don't do much for this truck.
    you should see it in person it is incredible..
    it is a work of art.
    The owner re-did the truck him self

      My brother, A.L. Rose of Roswell, NM restored a 1947 KB11 International about 9 years ago and has sold the truck to a party in Dover, OH. This truck is one of the best restorations in existence - much better truck than the red '49 KB11.

    ah the sound of a BIG gasoline engine

  • @N8-T
    @N8-T 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    @ironmartonline, It just sounded like it might be idling to low, sounded as if you had to give it a little throttle to keep it running, Id like to own one yes, but i really just want an rd 450 inline six engine by itself.

    @NathansBackwoods It is cold from the sound of it. Non fuel njected vehicles tend to be a bit "bitchy" until they warm up a bit.

    Motor, Trans all work and operate very well I have no idea what you are talking about? Do you own a KB with a Red Diamond motor?

      I think these ol’ red diamond engines used solid lifters which is why they are a bit more noisy.
      My ol’ 68 Volvo had solid lifters too... You can just tell when You hear this engine run.
      Good observation though😉

    Is this the kind of truck that you ride standing on the running board steering thru the window because you can't stand to stay in the cab while climbing a mountain pass when it's 100 degrees out? That's how my grandfather drove his...

    Nice truck but around here...with that rear...you'll get killed.....literally. The days of running 40mph on the interstate are long gone. I have a KB12 project. The only thing reasonable is to either do a glider into another running gear later model or upgrade everything. I don't like trailering trucks around.
