It looks similar to a Red Diamond ENGINE.

@@shandfan I still think it could be a Red Diamond ENGINE it has been years since I worked on them when I was a young truck mechanic I worked on diesel and gasoline powered trucks. They run those Red Diamond 6 cylinders into the 1970s 1970s and beyond they were 406, 450 or 501 cubic inch displacement in my time I don't know if they had any thing any smaller in a Red Diamond. They were a rugged engine. I am not sure about those numbers you posted in your comment.

@@danhuttinger5040 Thanks....and a question to you.....WHY were some of the heaviest army trucks(s.a. DiamondT,...WLF and Federal during WW2 dieselized ?(although not all of them) (even with Cummins) WLF had the original flathead Continental gas.

@@shandfan I can't answer that question I am a Vietnam veteran and I was in the Army from 1969 to 1972 but I in Army Aviation CH47 Chinooks what I can remember that the bigger trucks were diesel, the 5 quarters were gasoline and the m 151 took the place of the jeeps were gasoline and also the old Dodge Power Wagons were still in service with the flat head 6. The duce and a half had the continental multi fuel engine and they run them on diesel fuel. I think the 5 and 10 tons had Mack and Cummins. I flew 900 hours over there as a FLT.ENGNEER on ch47s so I was not into trucks. I have a friend that collects old military trucks and rebuilds them when I get a chance I will ask him if he can answer that question I can get back to you.
