Wow, I usually catch all CC videos but somehow I missed this one. Having learned to drive in the 68 Fairlane station wagon, this is a car that I’d have seriously considered buying - most notably because of the condition. Hope whoever bought it will treat it well 😍
Well hell... if it was badged torino that was my first car.. been looking for one for a bit.. and now that I had heart surgeries last month and am totally broke.. ya'll get one LOL been watching for a while and was holding out for something and now you have it..might have to talk to the bank or get another loan against my retirement LOL well gentlemen if i can find a way.. I am buying that car LOL Coyote Classics for the win again.. but if someone gets her.. they bought a beast and a beauty that will do you right.. mine had 13k on it when I got it from my grandma LOL hell of a machine to get at 15...but sadly no 428.. just a 390 that still ran like a wet cat.. but thanks for the video and this car.. made a man feel good about his youthful years and memories.. and made an old man dream again!!! Thanls again and much love and respect to ya'll in this exciting new year!!!! who knows ..maybe a torino like this will show up in your showroom!!!!!!
WOW!!! 1968 Fairlane WITH A BIG BLOCK and 39K miles??? What a time capsule!! Haven't seen one of these since I was a kid back in the 70s! Musta been a 302 new maybe? Thanks Guys!!! P.S.--- How come Chad ALWAYS gets to drive ???
Not many 428 Fairlanes were made. My uncle had that same exact car with 4spd and trophied every week at the drag strip when it was new in 1968. These were BETTER than the Torino Cobras because they were lighter-precisely the reason my uncle ordered one.
Wasn't sure what to expect from a basic looking Fairlane but wow she's definitely a beast. A bit pricey for me but someone's gonna get a great classic that you don't see a bunch of out there anymore.
nice car,,, its not embarasing red or has NO "custom interior", good to see good examples of not so popular models. I know nothing about Fords and get lost between the Galaxie and Fairlanes from 68 on. 351,352, 427,428,429 my head hurts. Beautifull example of real American motoring and history... the older i get the more i appreciate cars like this and it wouldnt be hard to get this car running late 12,s. Steve in Australia.
I have a 69 Fairlane, love the owners solution to the seatbelts. I'll have to try tuck them in like that. I feel like I've got a dead octopus front and back.

Always preferred the hardtop version over the fastback.
Interesting that I believe was an original 200 CI 6 cylinder. Restomod looks good. Hood is an easy fix.
Holy Mack! Now is more my style!
