I have been a baseball fan my whole life I am now almost 69 years old this whole one of the best stories I've ever heard I've seen the movie and read the book but you guys open my eyes to a lot of things I have enjoyed the entire thing keep bringing all the stories you can thank you very much
One innacurate statement. Eddie Collins was a 6 time World Series champion as he returned to the Athletics as a player in 1927 and won his fifth title with them in 1930. He is the only non Yankee in major league history to win 5 championships with the same team.
I’ve heard two things concerning this story but never knew if they were confirmed. One is Billy “Maharg” is Graham spelled backwards. The other is Chicago was known as the Black Sox even before the scandal was exposed. Supposedly the team owner was too cheap to pay for laundering the player’s uniforms, earning them the nickname.
This is a fascinating story.
Excellent, derailed work. I'm falling in love with your channel.

Sad to hear that guy was buried in a unmarked grave
