I love the charity shop videos. You never know what will turn up, and what condition it will be in. Just great to see what you have picked up each time, and there is always the feeling that once in a while there will be a great find (even if it never actually happens in practice). I used to go to boot sales with my two daughters when they were small, and you always get the feeling that it might be a good day - although my wife always used to say we were just "buying other peoples rubbish". She was probably right, now I come to think about it!
Charity shop hunts are always fun, although normally a little disappointing. I love finding the weird oddities. It's just a shame these videos never prove to be particularly popular!
I have a soft spot for the old games that have little gimmicks - Keys to the Kingdom with its flipping board, HeroQuest with its furniture, Legend of Zagor with the sound box, Dark Tower with its... tower.
Omg I remember that Thomas game from my childhood. I think I still have it and if my memory is correct it's missing a few of the wagon tiles. Still I had more fun playing with the cardboard trains than the actual game lol.
Iv just managed to get another copy of escape from colditz which is a great retro game from a charity shop for a fiver, missing three of the pawns but I shall replace them with 15mm figures, think I might have a spare crusade board and a spare console if you need them and proberly the card as iv just restored mine back to complete.
Thanks for the offer. I already have a complete very good condition copy of Space Crusade that I've unboxed on the channel. This was just one of those things where I saw an opportunity to pick up a parts copy hoping to double up on the cool things and maybe get a few replacements that were in marginally better condition (and to get that second edition art, of course).
Thank you for that, I really appreciate you playing along even though your keen eyes never failed you! Unfortunately, the first few hours of this video pulled down some really low viewing stats, so I have had to relent and put the name of the third game in the title in hopes of drawing more eyes. It's a shame, because it was fun keeping it a bit of a secret.

That mirror is cool despite the game not being too good. Reminds me of Awaken Realms' Nemesis red plastic scanner for infection cards.

That Thomas game is so beautiful, I had all the little Thomas books as a child, wish I had this game
The board is lovely.

Well I'm happy to have provided a little nostalgia for you. The presentation is certainly fair better than the game.
@@AlwaysBoardNeverBoring indeed such an eye catching design, like you said, I spent more time looking at the board than I did playing it.
It's a lovely design. Waddington's The Vampire Game is another one where the board captivated my imagination. It's really magical.
My best thrift shop snag so far has been Kriegspiel.
Poor you. That's enough to put one off wargaming.

Colditz is a great game. The Osprey edition that came out a few years back is a really nice version.
I m so obsess with the last game. I see it through the thumbnail image
I spent a while working on that thumbnail, trying to figure out how much of the box I could show before it became too obvious.
@@AlwaysBoardNeverBoring Nice job. I didnt tell the name to respect you work 😉

I am not a number! I am a free locomotive!
If you look really closely at the board, you can see little spheres bobbling down the coast of the seaside town.
@UnderTheSkin13 Lol! Perfect.
Sorry, but Tugs was great.
You wash your mouth out. Tugs was a great show.
Whatever floats your boat, as the saying goes.
@@AlwaysBoardNeverBoring if you cant hack that sweet sax riff you should have just said.
Ha. The sax theme tune was one of the things I mentioned in my previous charity shop video, where I looked at the Tugs game.
Any game that requires you to roll exact numbers does not respect your time.
It’s a throwback rule to the days when people had more time and far fewer distractions. What else were you going to do when it was raining?
