I had never heard of Royal Assassins. Always happy to learn a game that takes a standard deck of cards!

    "This goes up to 13"
"Why didn't you just make the 10 louder?"

Very nice. Now I wanna try both this and Royal Assassin to see what the changes were. Great job.

I love how in two different times in the video Matt asks for the 4 of diamonds to appear which he took as prestige and then looks for the 11 of clubs in the discard which was the 4th card in and still believes it's in the draw deck but congrats on the win!

Are you saying I am, or am not, invited to Blackjack night? 😅

awesome!! super helpful in a game like this, though, of course, a little less thematic !

@@OnePlayerForever Yeah, in a game where only the order of the cards is important this deck is really good to use. 👍

So as I understand it you only ever have one chance to use one of the two cards you put out each round, unless you pull a royal for a given dock stack? That seems way too limiting to me, like I feel like the player should have something like a third dock to put drawn card down on so you have a little bit of flexibility. Otherwise you're completely at the mercy of the deck, say a ten comes out but if you use it you'll negated it utterly via whats under it which is outside of your control. I suppose that might just be the nature of the game, as the idea I just considered and mention might make it too easy. I like the concept at least but I feel you need to find a better balanced approach.

Hi. For example, at the beginning of the game I have two black cards in my warehouse, black in the dock, and black in my wallet. I put one of them as prestige points. I put two new cards in the dock - black again. I put one of them as prestige points. I put two new cards in the dock - again black ... There are no more options. In this case, I'm just out of luck and need to start a new game?

I think in this case you would utilise your ability to ‘skip’ to the next turn, and keep filling the dock until you pulled another royal or a red card.

You're right! There are a lot of times the odds are stacked against you. The market is pretty fickle. If you stick around till the end of the game, I find it's always fascinating to see a change in circumstances. There's a LOT of tragedy in this game -- but there's a lot of reward experiences too. Such as life!

Wow this year the games sucks... For now two weeks in a row that the games are weak...
Last year eck was awesome, megablast as well, the brambles, and thug
    All of those were great
Let me know when we will get to see some deck building games
Really disappointed this year with the games

After 2 videos, it seems rather early to write off 50+ game designs..?
I suppose the only way to make this year's contest better is to share your own game design! Although, gosh, it sure would be hurtful if, after weeks or months of designing, playtesting, and creating your game design that others could play for free, someone came along and said that your game sucked, because it wasn't a deckbuilder. Yeah, that would feel bad .. no one would do that though, right?

@@OnePlayerForever I agree. We have some amazing talent this year. It's going to be glorious to see it through the end!
