    Dear Everyone, apologies for the volume of the music. You're right, it IS too loud. That's my bad! I hope you can cope and it doesn't put you off too much because I can't lower it without removing the video and losing all of your lovely comments. So I promise to not do it again next time if you promise to forgive me and watch this video anyway! Xxx

    Are there vegetarian options? Can I use AgarAgar instead?

    • @CupcakeJemma
      @CupcakeJemma  7 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      May Lin Agar Agar is the only one I know of but I've not tried to make marshmallows with it. It definitely works for jelly (although it's a bit of a different consistency of course). I may look into doing an alternative recipe but for now I'll bet there are tonnes of recipes on line xx

      @miraadyamiranti6705 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've tried agar2 for marshmallow and it didn't work. I think it calls for a different technique because agar2 has different characteristics from gelatine. For example, agar2 won't set when mixed with cold water. You have to boil it then let it cool down. And it's not as flexible as gelatine.

      Zai Gka you could try using leaf gelatine instead. I think you'd use around 6 leaves for this recipe. There will be instructions on how to bloom
      it on the packet but it definitely has led of an odour!

    I love how the entire table ends up pure white from the icing sugar/corn flour mixture. That's definitely a liberal application! (And makes complete sense, marshmallows just get so sticky.)
    Also, yes, we should all take tea breaks while baking!
