Be careful having anything on your hairline for sleeping I’ve had hair loss on my hair line from sleeping with a silk bonnet. Suggest moving it back away from the actual hair line and temples

I use a scarf. Tie it in the back so that the front is covered and its super loose, no tension or anything. Will i stilll be prone to hair loss in the hairline?

When I do the pineapple, my hair falls out because the scrunchie isn’t tight enough and if I twist it twice, my hair is poofy in the morning. A bun doesn’t work because then my hair unravels. And the pineapple also makes my curls unravel. I need help!

I'm going try the plopping again. Started clipping it up in sections which works great , but my scalp is very sore in the mornings and I am prone to headaches. Glad it's the clips and not migraine tho. Might have to invest in a silk scarf too. Thanks for this video. And it is for ALL curly girls, not just the african culture. My goodness, people!

@@Music-oj1xt actually hair wrapping is used all over the world and does not just originate from the black community but also central america and latinos that have been doing it not just from seeing people from the black community hair wrapping but doing it to keep hair out of their face and protect their hair. and it is not just people that come from those areas but if you go around the world you might just have to get mad at everyone for “cultural appropriation” because sure hair wraps are popular in the black community but you will find that people have been doing this because it is efficient and not because they saw people of in the black community doing it. but of course there is cultural appropriation in this world but i dont see this as a problem and why she should have taken a moment to credit ANYONE in general. i think the intentions of this video were to help ANYONE that has textured hair and not to claim anything. all love though ❤

I don’t agree, Afro hair and curly hair both need protecting when sleeping. This girl’s just sharing knowledge she’s gained from her experience with her own hair type. Personally I’d sleep with a bin bag on my head if it helped with frizz I certainly don’t think I shouldn’t be wearing a silk scarf because I’m not black 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

@@ellieloane5194 how else should we protect our hair? Just because it originated from a different culture doesn’t mean u can’t use it. That’s like saying you can’t cook food from different cultures if u aren’t apart of that culture. Pure ignorance. Culture is meant to be shared with everyone we just need to make sure to know where it originated from. As a Latina I wouldn’t be made if someone wore a traditional dress just because they aren’t from my culture. As long as they are doing it respectfully and know where it comes from it should not matter. Plus it’s also different because black people arent the only ones with curly hair.. people from all over the world have different hair textures so why can’t others use a technique just because it didn’t originate from they’re culture.
