If there's anyone like a car show celebrity, his name would be Jesse James. While James is popular for his role in the show Monster Garage, he's been in a lot more shows than he can probably count.
Okay, maybe he can count them, but we had a hard time counting them. We know that one of his first forays into the world of television was a show called Motorcycle Mania that chronicled his whole life, and we also know that the show was produced by the Discovery Channel.
It was after the success of that show that Discovery channel decided to produce another show called Monster Garage. After his success with Monster Garage, James decided that he could create his shows, so he decided to establish Payupsucker Productions, under which he produced shows like History of the Chopper, Iraq Confidential with Jesse James and Green Scream.
These are a lot of shows, right? Well, here's the thing no one knows. It's the fact that Jesse James created one more show called Jesse James presents; Austin Speed Shop.
The Austin Car Shop series was a part of his How-To-Series which was a series where he tried to teach people how to fix cars.
But that's not the only interesting thing about this show. Another thing that nobody knows is the fact that the series had only three episodes, and had only one season. Asides from that, the show has never been aired on cable television, and has never been available to stream, rent or buy.
It's a Jesse James classic that has never been seen on mainstream television and has absolutely no popularity.
It doesn't even have a Wikipedia page! That's what makes the show and its ending so interesting because it gives us an insight into how Jesse James works.
The Austin Speed Shop show wasn't just named arbitrarily. The show was actually based on Austin Speed shop, a car shop in Austin, Texas that James used to work at.
So what happened to the Austin Speed Shop show? Why does it have only one season and three episodes? Why didn't Jesse James continue with it?
    #AustinSpeedShop #JesseJames

I bought the dvd’s of this show at walmart. Viewers didn’t like it because it actually taught them something in a drama free no BS manner. Short attention span theater is the flavor of the day.

I'd love to watch a show where it actually teaches. That isn't good for TV, but would do well in the modern Era where some ppl will either pay or almost donate to watch the content. He could put it on TH-cam or his own site.

@@mikeskidmore6754 im sure u mean 1911’s. Every custom gun maker hand fits their firearms. Thats why they cost what they do. I dont doubt the man craftsmanship or skill. Most of his work is decorative and he uses the more classic styling. Im sure its a nice pistol but it doesnt shoot better than what a master gunsmith with 20+ yrs makes. Atlas, staccato, wilson combat, les bear, nighthawk and many more all make better shooting 1911 pistols than jessie james does. Also the chances of him buying the over sized kits from one of the companies above is high. He may only get parts kits and make his own frames but i highly doubt he mills/ forges all those parts himself.

ASS is still open, and they still build bad ass old school rides. If I remember correctly, we're talking at least 15 years ago after all, he got involved with ASS after it already was an established shop, and the fact that he parted ways with them doesn't mean the shop closed. About the show, the only reason it failed is because it wasn't the scripted, drama driven, pack of B$ product that people like to consume so yeah, from a commercial standpoint it was a failure, but per se it was great, for real gearheads it was a really good show, but of course, compared with the number of "normal people" watching TV, it's a small niche that isn't profitable for big corporations. It's funny in a way, that some of the best content he ever produced failed because it was to "real", particularly when you consider that all he does is reality TV! 😅 I personally think that JJ is universally hated because he placed his entire life in front of a camera, making his narcissistic ass the center of attention rather than making his work speak for itself, as you can say whatever you want about him, but he's a phenomenal craftsman, his fire arms are some of the best you can find, as his skills and passion for the trade are really strong. He might be dick or it might be his TV persona, it's Hollywood after all, don't know, don't care, i respect him for his work. Oh and BTW, this video is terribllleeeeeee, fails to address so many points, and it's clearly aimed at drama junkies that don't care about actual reality.

Nailed it! Everything you said is spot on. I've been riding old Harleys for many years and when I'd putt down to the local pub all I heard was "Have you seen the latest OCC"? I'd just shake my head and walk away.

@@ericargo9157 I know bro, that's yet another cross we have to carry because of stupid TV shows. I too was into cars before the whole dmax/discovery restoration/custom build shows (most of which producing crap if we really wanna be honest..), and for years no matter what car I was driving, the most common comment was if I built it by watching "insert show title here" 😂😂. But what's really bad is the fact that since the TV car show craze every MFer and his mom started to think that the rusty pos in their garage was worth its weight in gold, polluting the market transforming it into a trend. Up until 2010 you could buy a rolling project for what it was worth, then prices started to rise exponentially. In 2008 I bought a really rough, but running and driving, 1972 VW T2 pick up for 1500, now for that price you're lucky if it has a floor and a single cylinder firing! 😅 😅 I have a 2002 issue of Street Machine in front of me (UK magazine, I'm in Europe) and there is an high 11s '69 Firebird for sale at 8K, a pro street `55 Del Rey at 6K, an all original and running' 49 Hudson for 2K, snd what's best, custom domestics like V8 Anglias, Cortinas etc.. could also be had for around 2K, and trust me, these light 60s and 70s euro unibody cars are really light and are tons of fun with a V8 or other big engines. Of course most of these aren't perfect, but they're all perfectly safe to drive. Of course there's inflation to take into account, but 2002 isnt that far back, and these prices really make my heart cry.. as today for 2K you're lucky to get a decent set of wheels and tires.. Aah! The g.o.ds!😅🏴‍☠️

I miss him and his shows very much. A while back they had an off-road expo in Long Beach. Well on our travel down, early in the morning. We decide to check out West Coast Customs. Upon arriving, the shop was still closed. As we were parking, we tried to peak through the gate or any window. After giving up and getting ready to take off, I can barely start hearing in the distance a loud rumbling noise, And sure as shit, a group of biker’s came rolling in hot! And two figures had taken off their helmets. Reviling themselves as Jesse James and Sandra Bullock. And naturally we got to talk to them for a min and get a pic. They were both very nice and sweet. They even gave us a quick tour of the shop and some of the bikes he built over the years. Very cool guy to be around and Sandra was very sweet and down to earth. An amazing experience that I’ll never forget.

Personally I don't care for all the stupid Drama, Drama, Drama, most of these shows had, like American Chopper, and American Hot Rod, with Boyd Coddington!! Let's be honest here, most of us "real men" tuned in to see the cars and bikes these guys were building, and could care less about the "Dramatic Effect" that Discovery Channel, rammed down our throats on a weekly basis!!
Furthermore most real men, would just quit our jobs given the disrespect, these shows often went over the top to portray, and trust me I have walk out on enough companies in my life when the pressure and low pay, made it impossible to work there any longer!!
Besides what most people call "Stubborn" is actually a display of "principals", and that is something that is lacking in a lot of people these days!! And when you see somebody who is willing to "stick to his guns" and not get taken in by all the crap, they, the people who are "stubborn" are now called "TOXIC", like that is a bad thing!!
And you wouldn't call Thomas Edison a loser to his face and shame and humiliate him if he had a TV show, showing ALL the failures he had inventing a light bulb. So why is it OK to shame and humiliate Jesse James for a failed show that he is actually "passionate about", because it lacked the "drama"!!
Lastly there is plenty of pitfalls, red tape, BS and crap in daily life to begin with for most people without adding more Drama to it!! And if I were to be honest, the reason I watch TH-cam videos NOW is because I like to watch, and be inspired, by talented people who create things out of absolutely nothing, but demonstrate their knowledge, know-how and willingness to teach!! And I have a huge list of content providers on TH-cam I would rather watch, then ANYTHING produced by some TV company these days!! And they can keep the drama, I just want to see what people are building!!

SLAYER IS A " THRASH" METAL BAND AND NOT A " TRASH" METAL BAND. The band is to Thrash Metal and music what Jesse James is to bikebuilding , auto customization, and fabrication. You can't take any respect from Jesse love him or hate him SND YOU GOTTA GIVE SLAYER THEIR RESPECT. Anyway, ---- its THRASH METAL.

Money is a false wall of security. The only way it makes us who we are is when we serve our money instead of God. Blessed is having a relationship with God so don't think someone is blessed by how much money they have, that's what the god of the world does with our mindset, the love for money is the root of all evil. Praise God for loving us first and for giving us the only direction to His solid foundation Amen 🙏🙌❤

Your gods book says rape is a property crime against the father or husband. It also says it is ok to beat your slaves.Your religion promotes hate and bigotry .That is why no one cares for your god

Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned
from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the
Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by
reducing petrol stations to only one state operated central gas station
per city. From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned
too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and
gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on....
So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any more....:-((
