WHAT HAPPENED To Jordan Poole's NBA Career?

- Jordan Poole has OFFICIALLY replaced Javale McGee as the goofiest player in the NBA… he doesn’t pay attention during timeouts, has ATROCIOUS shot selection, and is really just doing his own thing out there… all. the. time.
But it didn’t used to be like this. Jordan Poole USED to be a guy that everyone loved in Golden State, with a great work ethic and a bright future ahead of him… and just a few years ago he was celebrating an NBA title and looked like the “3rd splash brother”... so how did we get here? How did Jordan Poole go from an exciting up and coming guard… to the joke of the league?

*Ain’t no baddies in D.C.*
Mans had rubi rose in attendance and still played like ass
There are tho. Just not going to see sorry a** ball
They are, but they’re getting passed around the Senate.

Needing "baddies" in the crowd to play well is part of the problem with some of these young clowns.
got the bag early and won a championship, no need to give more effort now
Basically what he said 😂
Stg I'd chill and ballout on the last yr on my contract 😂
IMO: Money & fame are his priorities. Excellence, continuous learning & improvement are a very distant second priority. Plus, if he is a contract player, I really believe he will only excel in the 2025-2026 off season, when his contract extension comes up. It's a pity, but there are so many like him in the NBA past and present.
i mean kudos for the guy ig, get the bag then chill
Remember when Sporting Logically said Warriors move for CP3 for an exchange for Poole was bad? Lol I mean CP3 has been good for his role but the move turn better for them and a huge win. WAS is stuck on that massive contract. CP3 contract coming to end soon.
@@duyanhng8430 Out of all the players I've seen in the league with this 'approach' to the game, no one disappoints me more than Whiteside.
He was drafted in 2010 but never played until the 14-15 season. He was barely making 500k.
Pat was a fool and paid him 100 million in 2016 free agency, and Whiteside was never the same since.
It makes me sick🤮😭
Talent will get you far in the NBA, but it's what between the ears that take you to the next level. Right now there is nothing but himself in his head right now. In a team sport, this never helps the team.
You can't teach class. Jokic treats basketball like a day job too but he cares about his team more than himself so he plays hard even if it was clear that they would lose in 2021and 2022. He has more money, more hardware and better teammates than Poole but doesn't slack off.
Reminds me of Wiggins’s early career. Started on a pretty crappy team and improved slowly over his first few years (remember in the chip year there were only a handful of regular season games where Steph dray and Klay were playing tgt). Once the team got all their pieces tgt, started to regress significantly and had drama with the team’s best players. Imo someone has to take the offensive load off of Poole whether he wants it or not, he’s played pretty well as the 2nd/3rd option on that championship team
I never really loved Poole’s game. I think he’s been incredibly blessed by circumstances in his career. If he was drafted to any other franchise, i think he’d still be in G League
I think it's a fallacy that the contract situation was the root cause of why Poole was traded. They paid Poole because they mistakenly believed it would be cheaper to sign the contract then than wait for the chance the deal needed might go higher.
I believe the far more significant issue is roster construction. Poole played well enough in his role for him to believe that their should be a path for him to have a starting role on the team. But as Long as Klay is on the team that was never going to happen. Additionally Poole's terrible defence was not something the team had ever had to deal with in someone playing such a significant role not named Steph Curry (and now Klay Thompson too... but they refuse to recognise that one still). That 22 squad had just enough defensive chops to stomach Poole's issues through most of the season but it became increasingly difficult in the playoffs especially as his offense became more erratic under that pressure.
Sadly despite the freedom of getting out from under Stephs shadow in Washington the poor team culture on that squad is doing nothing to develop the discipline and work ethic that Poole once showed.
Despite his lack of maturity on the Wizards Poole is far from the cause of the many issues in Golden State.
There were issues with him for sure.
But personally, I don't see how everyone can't point the finger at a guy that played all 82 regular season games last year... unless he was the franchise player 🤷♂️
Hes only problem its hes mindset he cares about himself only and and think of himself way more then what he is...
Jordan Foole Needs To Go Back To The G-League
I think its the 1980's mustache lmao
Poole boy 😂😂😂
I knew the Jordan Poole falloff was real when he sucked with Ruby Rose watching 😂
Poole and Kuzma have a similar situation. Both are NBA champs with lots of money and ball in their hands on offense.
Loved watching him play at Michigan. Ill always remember his game winner
Tbh, I knew his career was going downhill as soon as I saw that vid of him telling Wiggins they getting paid.
When he's yelling a bout "getting a bag" and saying he finally has "his own team", y'all should have known hes a problem
Leave him alone. He’s got his ring and his $120mn contract. He’s satisfied, and doesn’t really care going forward.
Idk you can’t blame Washington. They thought they were getting a great player in return. But Poole’s attitude and play have not endeared him anyone in that organization.
Yah I mean I thought he still would of put up an empty 25ppg at the least... If Kuzma can do it oyyyye
I like Jp game and he has a nice bag where he can be unpredictable at time but he tries too much on offense and that leads to turnovers plus he is inconsistent at times
Jordan Poole is turning into a Modern Day Nick Young
If shaqtin a fool still existed, poole would be getting clowned even more so then he currently is
Poole has the last laugh. He got his bag. He’s a multimillionaire and 98% of us on this thread are not even close.
Everyone picking ok JP. How is that encouraging ? It’s 2023 almost 24 stop the online bullying
Its too bad .. was really rooting for him to get a fresh start and succeed.
You showed a video of JP turn around = automatic thumbs up
Honestly though, I like this. The Wizards aren’t gonna win any time soon, so might as well make losing entertaining.
He’s got no pressure to him he’s done everything already
0 all stars or all nba is "doing everything"? His entire career accomplishments boil down to being on the same team as steph curry
@@totalwine161 he got paid and won a championship to him that’s everything you’re taking about stuff greats care about are you comparing Poole to a great player
Arenas was being paid a max contract whilst never playing in the league again.
Now, Poole with his shenanigans, is being paid 2.5 times more Gil was.
Who's NEXT, DC? 😅
More importantly, why does he look like he should be driving a ice cream truck, but only 300ft away from children. 😂😂😂
It's GS Fault for not Molding Poole. That Contract shyt is fools gold. Draymond got that boy Fired after all is said and done. Worse thing they did was Give him that contract. 2nd worse thing was trading him for Old Azz CP3
Really a disservice not to include a few clips of peak Foole plays. All the highlights of his Wiz work are empty calories. 😂
I’d turn the music down just a bit, otherwise great video 👍
Gotchu
You could tell by his demeanor in colege he was way too much of a joker and unfocused to be anything like what Golden State needed to ease Curry's later years. He's still young, but who could be a real mentor in DC, someone he'll listen to? He had the blueprint in GS, riiiiiiight there. Crazy.
what is this? what career, this is proof he hitched a ride and now exposed and no body needs to talk about trash
Teams are defensively planning to do the main point of attack and he plays a little to careless with his handles and passing when getting double teamed. I think he'll learn it's been 17 games, he's on an atrocious team so the spacing is bad and teams focus on Poole and Kuzma.... This is a year for him to either turn s corner and show he can be a top option as the season goes in and he improves or he can continue doing the same thing and show he's a glorified role player that will never have the confidence he had as a warrior.
You made a whole video on a player you clearly never watched play. Poole couldn’t play in the playoffs because of his turnovers and team worst defense. He got paid because he got better yet over year due to his incredible work ethic. He then lost his mind (just like Klay) and played himself off the team.
Shaqtin a Poole
poole was not great during curry’s out. he destroyed the free flowing passes with his hero ball
"We are light years ahead of probably every other team in structure, in planning, in how we're going to go about things."
- Joe Lacob
Warriors Majorty Owner
Delusion personified...
I thought he said that in like 2016 his team won like the 3 chips in 7 years so i think his hyperbolic statement was accurate at the time
@@elizadoggy nah, man. If your system is light years ahead, how can everyone overtake you within 5 years??
JP3 don't care anymore he got the bag and won a chip
Jordan Poole will never get another big contract. He has reached his ceiling. One of the most overrated players of this era.
So a guy who can be a complimentary scorer with spacing, but doesn’t give you much else?
Later drafted Devin Harris
Hello. I can barely hear you in the video.
AD and JB going this route too huh
It all started when JP decided to spend 500k on Ice Spice.
Bruh plays like this is an AAU team. Like he's trying to get his college tape together. Like he's trying to become a highlight reel. It's so stupid and ridiculous but if he literally just decided to play team basketball, the Wizards would be better and more entertaining. They'd still lose but the tankjob would be at least fun to watch
Damn…Calling him the joke of the league was harsh 😂
It is true. Poole has already acomploshed everything any young players would hope for today. He may seem goofy now and poeple might not take him seriously but y9u have to agree that in his prime back with the warriors, he was unstopapble.
Bro we arent even 15 games in and we are asking what happened to his career, cant we let bro play through a full season? You guys expect continuous growth like let these guys have highs and lows.
Still rooting for bro !
Untrustworthy guy. You can see it in his eyes.
Where's shaqtin a fool when you need it?
Same guy in Michigan jack up threes too much and lose the game ?? I guess no one seen him in college ????
Well, actually poole is the worst player in washington so you can't take the blame from him.
He doesn't do defence at all
He force shots and barely scores
And he barely pass
This is a textbook guide 1:00 on how to become an asshole
He needs baddies to get him back
You cant blame the wizards team for poole being bad
He thinks he’s #1 option
Too much money, too early in his life destroyed Jordan Poole.
