For the people who don't like this kind of dubstep you have the understand that modern dubstep is generally divided into two separate styles, Melodic and heavy. Melodic dubstep is usually vocalized, and focuses more on an easy melody (seven lions) while heavy is all about the dub and base (killsonik). There are a lot more subgenre out there, but the misconception that dubstep shouldn't have vocals in it or should be heavy is false.
Does that mean heavy dubstep with vocals is a crossover. Also try using just bass when explaining the focus of heavy dubstep as dub the term itself explains the sub genre in a whole.

Holy crap the Nostalgia...IMO Stonebank's best track. This is the kind of Dubstep I have always loved, old school Dubstep wobbles. Listening to this track makes me feel like I am back in summer of 2014. This song came out the year I graduated High School and hearing this on my last week of High School was a blast. Good times.
I've been going through the dubstep releases of Monstercat and I have been playing them at 1.5x speed, because (to me at least) it sounds like a Glitch Hop remix.
All aboard the nostalgia train!!! What a time 2014 was... So carefree where everyday was a party, and chilling with friends took up 90% of the week as opposed to the 5% now that adult life has hit...
I remember when this came out, people were complaining about the vocals. Man, they obviously ignored the drop. Im happy know seeing how people enjoy this song. This is prob is one of the best Stonebank song. All the newer stuff won't compare what he released in 2014. All of them are masterpieces. This, Moving on, Holding on to Sound, and Step up. On the other hand, He had great releases in 2015 too. 2016? we'll see.
This is a great track. The vocals, while sounding just a tad poppy, are fitting and overall work with this track. They don't dampen the track and they are there at the right times. It all flows well without becoming too old. This reminds me just a bit of AZEDIA (not a bad thing by any means) and it certainly is a good track to say the least. Build-Up is good as well, not too long or short. Excellent debut, Stonebank, I hope to see more tracks from you, Monstercat or not, this is easily one of my instant favorites from this album season! Personally I think this song is a work of art, A nice chilled out kind of dubstep. It isn't dying off. It has developed sub-genres which are still classed as dubstep. If you want more heavy content listen to something like Getter or Datsik. It isn't dying, just changing.
Most dubstep I've heard is pretty metallic sounding like someone is scratching a chalkboard *cough* Skrillex *cough* but Monstercat dubstep is a lot softer to the ears. Thank you Monstercat :)

I wasn't really a fan of vocals in dubstep in the past, but the recent releases have done a good job of making the vocals blend with the music really well. Keep it up :)

No. It's not clear why he left. He's said he's coming back in 2014 tho.
James Wright That's a common rumor, but that's not the case. He's one of the founders, so he can't just be kicked. They announced a while back that he was just taking some time for his own life, and with all respect, I believe that's fair to him.
I've found the recent dubstep songs on monstercat to be underwhelming but this one is the best one they have released in a while. I love it :)

I wasn't really a fan of vocals in dubstep in the past, but the recent releases have done a good job of making the vocals blend with the music really well. Keep it up :)
Now all i need is Ephixa to return, i have been praying at my penguin shrine everyday awaiting his return.

Bellovits Dániel Az a gond, hogy dubstep műfajban már nem nagyon tudnak újat mutatni a producerek. Egyik kedvenc műfajom nekem is, de pl nekünk is csak 2 zenénk van amelyekben feltűnik a dubstep, de csak nyomokban, mert sok más műfaj van amikben viszont még lehet nagyon újat mutatni! :)
