Iv installed mine on a Carrera E vengeance as an upgrade. Which allows me to route the cables internally. Iv put a torque arms on the rear wheel to prevent the spindle spinning and chewing the aluminium drop outs. You might want to keep an eye on yours . I would highly recommend a SR suntour suspension seat post its a game changer. Plus its possible to charge the maximum amp output from the display giving you more power on hills. Think mine is set to around 13 now. Iv bought a rack/bag off Amazon and used the polystyrene packaging from the new 2nd battery to make it fit perfectly within it .
@@TheOneGoodRoad if you press and hold the SET button on the display it will change to a settings screen where you can make basic adjustments. If you then while still on that page hold the SET button again and the minus button together another page presents it's self a "advanced settings". Used the SET button to scroll through the settings and the +/- buttons to make adjustments. I think the maximum amp output is the last option on the "advanced settings" You kit should have come with a little booklet explaining it . Torque arms ancker the spindle to the bike frame so that the wheel spins instead of the spindle. Those washers with shoulders are torque arms technically but as they don't fit completely flush so theres room for potential movement, which could over time cut into the softer aluminium. Iv put some aftermarket one on mine as a precaution.
@user-ux9ll3yk5y ah right. I'll have to take a look at that in the settings and where did you find your torque arms? My only concern is that a lot of them don't say if they're stainless steel. Maybe they are or maybe they aren't, we never know with AliExpress... 😆
After a year of use my speed controller is showing red light, visible where the wires enter the controller, although the bike still works fine.Any ideas as to why?
Hmm you might have an older model controller or are you referring to the display? The controller doesn't have any lights on the newer model best to take photos and video and send the support team an email. Hard to assess what the issue is? If the system works then it's ok I would think? 🤔
Prices can fluctuate. 🙏🏻 I was referring to the "like new" kits which were available when the video was posted. I've ridden mine close to 1000km and it's still going well. Can be ridden even in the rain, although it's best ridden on a sunny day of course.. 👌🏻
@@TheOneGoodRoad just checked eBay and its £340 for the MTB kit. l paid £374 in May for a brand new kit, so yes the price is fluctuating. Well pleased with mine as well. Might grab another one while the price is low 🙂

Huh interesting tips thanks 👍 and how did you change the amps on the display? Also what do you mean by torque arms?
