    "BMW design cues"? you mean the ones Lexus first introduced on the fourth generation LS460 then BMW and other copied? yeah thought so...

    2:25 if you are talking about the tail lights, Lexus actually had that design breakthrough first

    All lexus cars are expensive but not overpriced because if you see how they build their cars compared to other brands, the lexus always run a quality check at every assembly line from the first line to the final assembly lexus does a very strict quality control compared to other manufacturers which runs a quality check only at the end of the assembly line also lexus has the highest quality ratings and nothing can beat the lexus quality

    It's a luxury, high performance limo but "it just doesn't feel like a sports car".
    What was he expecting?

      +Warren NZ "Some Lexus drivers like their hybrids sporty, and the 2015 GS 450h delivers." - Lexus And that's what I was expecting.

      Fair enough. But it seems more like a rapid limo to me. Along the lines of a BMW 550i or a Mercedes S500.
      Sporty conjures up images like an RX7 or a Porsche 911, etc, etc. 2 seaters with hard suspension.
      The only thing sporty about the GS450h is its acceleration if you ask me. I have one and before that I had turbo RX7s for 25 years.
      They're like night and day (except for acceleration).

      +Warren NZ The Mercedes S-klass is about the same size as the 7 series BMW's, while the E-klass is the size of the 5 series. ;)

      The IS and GS are meant to be Lexus' "Sporty luxury sedans" so a little sporty is expected, seems thats exactly what this car gives. Want more sport and still stay with Lexus? There is the IS 350 F Sport, ISF and RCF...and then the LC 500, and now the IS 500. They pretty much cover the spectrum from ultra luxury (LS 500) to supercar. (LFA) However if you dont already have one of the latter it cant be bought new...and will cost quite a lot on the "used" market😂

    Why the hell did Lexus put a 450 badge when all they had to do is put a "H" after 350. What does it make the power of a 4.5l V8? It's a nice car but I don't get why Lexus does that. Good video

  • @bmwmsport11
    @bmwmsport11 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    i agree, it depends person to person. the old interior had a classic Lexus layout where it all focused into the middle of the dash.

    0:41 First review I've seen with good footage on the cars special low beam light design, which looks like a vertical strip and extends the day time running lights design.
    From the inside you would never imagine how the low beam looked from the outside, I was surprised myself the first time I notice this on my own Lexus GS 450h. Have'nt seen any review point out this low beam design, but maybe the Lexus marketing didn't mentioned it in the press material either?

    The GS outsells the A6. It's funny how Audi always tries to align itself with the other two Germans but its sales are miniscule in the US and mainly FWD econoboxes globally.

    well if nissan calls their maxima a "4-door sports car" i think this would be a sports sedan. if your looking for "sports" its all on the GS350. this is just basically an option to get that GS350 with better fuel economy

    Hey steve I remember watching your review of the BuickLaCrosse where you were trying a different technique to see if you got more views.I was wondering if the "flaw" was a certain "flair" that is lacked in your reviews(please take no offence).Say, if you watch a review by EmmeHall of RoadflyTV or a review bySteve from RosenthalAutomotive, their videos grasp me with humour as well as facts - your reviews do not grasp me, but maybe a "grasp" (not necessarily humour) is needed to pull in the views.

    Ha, ha! No, no...it's not the sound of some squeaky components that haven't been lubed in a while. When you're crusing at 70 on uneven I-88 you can hear that German-like, mechanical precision of rapidly working shocks subtly permeating the cabin as the car remains completely unnerved. There - that's how I should have stated it in the first place ;-)

    The people that can afford this $68K hybrid can easily afford gas at $5 if it ever gets there so why make a car like this, other than being green, it makes no sense. It's so bland that plain white toast looks more appealing.

  • @socalguy97
    @socalguy97 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    No thanks. I like technology in my car as much as the next person, but this overdone. Much like the new ES, this GS is just too busy.Styling is mediocre to me. Not crazy about the dash. Not drawn to the exterior. And a mouse? Screens? Knobs? Too much! I think this car would be a pain to drive because of all the attention I'd have to pay to screens, knobs, buttons. And a car this big should have more room inside; my same complaint about the GS I used to own.It's all outside, no inside.Too tight.
