I had a bigger lucky though, the first song I listened to from Maiden, was Rime of the Ancient Mariner (I mean, The Trooper is an absolute classic, but If The Trooper is enough to make anyone a Metal Head, imagine not knowing metal at all, and listen to a 13min epic like Ancient Mariner!), since then, I'm not only became a Maiden fan (my favorite band of all time), but a headbanger. After Maiden, I started to listen to Helloween, after that Manowar, and almost everything from Metal! Today, I'm digging Angra, Diablo Swing Orchestra, The Dark Element, Butcher Babies, Shaman, Ektomorf, Therion, Triptikom, etc...

Melodic Metal and folk music from around the world can be closer to each other musically than people often think. Ignorant people just call it " talentless noise and screams into a microphone" when I say metal haha.
