Nini, I think this is a real showpiece. The location rapt in history was beautiful, enhancing the flavour and emotions of the song. You made this your own and I listened closely to pull out Metallica from it. I felt it was a very old and traditional song, centuries old. That is something I like so much about you playing these songs, that because of the sound of the instrument you are playing, they tie to the past but tease with the present and breath life into the future. Who else but Nini would so compently re-envision a 12-8 tempo slow blues classic (guess what .. it's NOT a "ballad").. which as many of us know , was initially written and recorded by a speed metal band , no less .. ! , to an expanding global audience , using a traditional Chinese instrument 👏👏
I love it.❤not only is she playing one of my favorite songs, but she playing this song that give me courage on her traditional chinese guitar. It’s a mix of both traditional Chinese guitar and modern music and I like it.
