Top 10 Best Search Engines (2024)

- Over the past several months I’ve tested dozens of search engines including some of the newer ones which are powered by AI. Based on my tests I’ve come up with a top 10 list of the search engines that I liked the best going over the pros and cons of each. These won’t be in any particular order but as usual, I’ll save the best overall for last.

startpage is my favorite, but now I'mm going to test others
Monster Crawler, ZapMeta and Dogpile are good search engines. They are meta search engines. They are simple to use.

Thank you for another Great Video 👍 Question for you about Brave. To date, I have only used Yahoo and Google. How hard is it to install. And will it cause conflicts with other software? Again thank you.
Brave Search is not software. Most browsers will let you go into settings and let you change the default search engine. If Brave Search is not offered as an option, you could just make it your home page in your browser.

I mostly use Swiss cows
I've used DDG for many years, but you persuaded me, Brett: Brave from now on.
Should've covered Kagi as well. Would've fit in well with this video. Brave and Kagi are definitely my top two search engines
My go to browsers are Brave and Via. Don't see Via mentioned in a lot of browser reviews.
Bing is surprisingly good.

Brave has been great for me, then I have Google fallback
i still use google because it’s fast and gives good results

The Russian search engine YANDEX
Yahoo was never the most popular search engine
Yahoo was a Startpage which was used before search engines were a thing
bing is not superior in image search.
Still you can try as many as you want those search engines but default google shows the best results. I mean much much better results than others... Now all are crazy about privacy but search engine should be ranked by it's search quality not their privacy...
Same shit is with browsers rankings: mostly the better privacy the better browser but it should be ranked for another things not only privacy...
yeah, i tried some of the privacy focused search engines such as brave, but google always gives me good results and is faster
tho i do use brave for my browser
