This was so precious! We were hit by a drunk driver when my son was just two weeks old. I never knew a baby could be adjusted until Dr. Templeton was adjusting us one day after the accident. He realized how fussy our son was and said he would like to take a look at him. So many things we're out of place on our precious baby. He adjusted him and it was such a huge difference. We have a life long friendship now with Dr. T and his family. I believe that chiropractor's are the best Dr to see for just about anything.
My cousin was diagnosed with hydrocephaly after he was born. They were on the verge of placing a shunt, when his dad had gone to the chiropractor himself, and of course my aunt and cousin were with him that day. The chiro asked if they would be okay with him doing an adjustment, and they agreed. They went for his follow up regarding the shunt and scans showed that he no longer had any degree of hydrocephalus. It was so unbelievable! The pediatrician was in shock. They followed up with both the chiro and the pediatrician up until he was around 6 months old, and there was absolutely nothing out of place and no hydrocephaly. ❤️
There were 4 people in the car and two men ran through the woods. The driver refused to go to the hospital, but went to jail and the other passenger had to go to the hospital. The driver was driving someone's car that wasn't insured and the owner had no idea that she took the car. She got alot of jail time from what I understand and we had to go through alot of court proceedings and hire a lawyer to help get our hospital bills paid. I felt terrible for the owner of the car because it wasn't his fault. He was the grandfather of the driver.

Carla V V he did an adjustment on an infant who was having colic issues and did it ever so gently and professionally, and was blasted all over the media for being horrible for adjusting someone so young. So called “doctors” spoke out saying he was wrong for doing it and how he shouldn’t have and he ended up deleting his channel over it all.
I'm watching this at work. And at the end when he helps her with her shoes and says you deserve all the love, I teared up. He was so gentle and soothing with both mom and baby. I very audibly said "you're such a beautiful soul"

They can't. Chiropractic care of neonates and children is not appropriate. Its appropriateness for adults is up for debate. Chiropractors are not primary care physicians. Not even close.

I ended up needing surgery but it was too little too late since they took so long to listen to me and I'm left with a ruined back, scarred and damaged nerves, referred pain and early wear and tear on my hips, knees and ankles from compensating. I wish I'd seen a chiro sooner.

Neither of our stories means chiropractic is/or is not effective by themselves. For that we have decades of studies, and aside from low back pain relief using techniques familiar to physical therapists as well as osteopaths, there is no accepted evidence of vertebral subluxations existing much less effecting other organ systems. I had a chiro tell me that if I brought my daughter to him she would stop getting strep throat. I have an issue with chiros broadening their scope of treatment beyond musculoskeletal problems. I dealt with a chronic autoimmune illness for a decade before I ended up having my colon removed and subsequent relief from all symptoms. I understand desperation to find relief from the daily pain and discomfort many folks live with. I went to numerous 'alternative' medicine practitioners seeking help. I lived in textbooks (I taught life sciences at the college level at the time) and published literature. In the end I decided to believe only in what the evidence shows and reserve the right to change positions when the preponderance of the evidence supports. I take issue with the selling of psuedoscience and false hope.
As a chiropractic student just want to clear somethings up. Chiropractors can adjust or manipulate on newborns (sometimes only minutes to hours after birth) the amount of pressure you use is about 1-2 pounds the ultimate most you should even use on a newborn or baby! At this sometimes a “pop” or “crack” noise is still audible and others you just feel the movement. Now referring to the Dr. Ian video I’m not sure what technique he practiced but some are seen as forceful even when they really aren’t. (Trust me when I was first learning them I was shocked to see what was considered low force) Gonstead for example is seen as very rough and brutal almost, but infants most certainly can be adjusted and it is completely safe. Also working on infants is more satisfying for chiropractors because infants have not had life exposure to injuries or other “problems” typically besides the birthing process (and even that is not applicable to all). Infants with adjust usually instantly where as adults could need a few visits before significant improvement. Usually chiropractors will get a Diplomate in an area or multiple as a way to specialize. For example pediatrics diplomate, neurology diplomate, etc.

His videos attracted the ire of nay-sayers and unbelievers who claimed that children, especially newborns, were not safe to have quack medicine practised on. They brought several videos to the attention of the authorities there and the chiropractor had his practice suspended for a bit. From then on he was banned from practising on children under 18. He was a very professional and well-respected Chiropractor who had performed many miraculous fixes with his Gonstead methodology. It’ll be awful if you have to face the same backlash for posting videos of chiro adjustments on babies.
I'm not a fan of chiropractic and believe it's quackery, but clearly what this doctor is doing is nowhere near what "Dr. Ian" did. Dr. Ian cracked that infant's back. There was an *audible* crack, and the baby started crying loudly. He got in trouble for it not because "naysayers and unbelievers" said it was wrong, but because the professional chiropractic board said it was. AFAIK, the chiro "standards of care" state that the backs of infants and babies should never be cracked like that. Seeing the man in this video--and having seen several of his videos--I doubt he would ever crack a baby's back (at least I hope not) and I imagine he would be horrified at the idea as well. Don't get me wrong. I still think it's quackery and I don't think there's any reason to be messing with the bones in a normal, healthy baby's skull and back. I think it's dangerous. I think the sublaxation theory is nonsense. But I also think that this man is at least not doing what Dr. Ian did, and to compare the two is wrong.
dqverify my 8 month olds back cracks all the time and has since birth. All I have to do is pick him up. He’s just a very poppy baby. There’s nothing wrong with it and Dr. Ian actually relieved that baby of Colic so maybe you should check your facts..

Seeing the man in this video--and having seen several of his videos--I doubt he would ever crack a baby's back (at least I hope not) and I imagine he would be horrified at the idea as well.
Don't get me wrong. I still think it's quackery and I don't think there's any reason to be messing with the bones in a normal, healthy baby's skull and back. I think it's dangerous. I think the sublaxation theory is nonsense. But I also think that this man is at least not doing what Dr. Ian did, and to compare the two is wrong.
dqverify my 8 month olds back cracks all the time and has since birth. All I have to do is pick him up. He’s just a very poppy baby. There’s nothing wrong with it and Dr. Ian actually relieved that baby of Colic so maybe you should check your facts..
