    I need to add that the price range for these is actually £60,000 - £70,000 - not £70,000 - £80,00.
    Apologies!

    Got a 2018 TT RS for about 3 yrs now and it’s a blast. I have a stage 2 E85 tune on it which is about 621 hp. I’ve done 0-60 in 2.5 and qtr in 10.1. Neither was a great launch. The he car is a beast and o drive it all year round. Love my RS.

    I own a 2017 pre opf one, stick a stage 1 remap and it’s a totally different animal! I’ve got 0-60 in 2.91s and 10.82 1/4 mile!

    I bought one of these earlier this year at MSRP, but that was still $76K USD.
    The only thing I've done for it, that I would recommend to anyone daily driving this like me, was to get 18" forged wheels and a nice set of high performance all season tires with a nice thick side wall.
    It's pretty comfortable now and with the lower rotational mass my 0-60 has gone down to 3.4s.

    Bang on as usual !! 👏
    Had a MK2 TTS and it was probably the longest I kept a car for (3 years) !
    Loved mine although I did spend a small fortune keeping her in fine fettle ! Never once had any traction issues....just plant it and go no matter what the weather !!
    Only thing missing was the 5 pot and the extra grunt ! That sound 💙!! Who needs a stereo 🤣 Great car !!

    • @CarFocused
      @CarFocused  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mate it’s basically a baby R8. The soundtrack is addictive, and it’s very capable too. TTS is the same engine as our Cupras isn’t it? Albeit the older version. As we know, they’re quick too 😁

    Stunning colour but not sure on the diamond cut wheels. I actually prefer this to RS3. Pricing again is too much, which is a shame. It does sound gorgeous but 5 pots always do. Great video mate.

    This is a very helpful review. I just wondered if you had a view on whether this should be bought with magnetic ride. The audi showroom have said that’s more relevant for track days where a stiffer suspension may be required. However, I wondered if magnetic ride makes the comfort mode ride softer? Is the sports edition suspension too firm?

    Hey, do you think this is still worth a fair more thousands more compared to a RS3 nowadays? This is the closest vid I've come across where you've swapped from driving a RS3 to this back to back, but feel you didn't give more of a comparison between them other than feeling more old school and the more darty handling, etc. Do you think it's worth spending the extra? Thanks! Very seriously looking at them both atm.

    • @CarFocused
      @CarFocused  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It all depends what you want from the car - obviously the RS3 will be more practical in terms of daily use but the TTRS is definitely more raw, and would be the better car for taking out for a spirited drive imo. I’ve had two of these on the channel now and loved them both, it’s a baby R8 😊 If you can find a low mileage 2018 car with sports exhaust I’d go for that, before the emission regs came in and muted the cars with the GPF’s 🤦🏼‍♂️ The RS3 felt a bit clinical really in all honesty, albeit still a great car.

  • @HVACRTECH-83
    @HVACRTECH-83 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    You got it backwards actually, the rs3 is way more basic on the interior than the ttrs. The ttrs is much nicer inside, better quality, nicer seats too

    • @CarFocused
      @CarFocused  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’d literally just jumped out of the RS3 at this point and that was my conclusion haha. The TTRS is definitely more old school inside, less busy and more functional than the RS3.

      How is the Turbo Blue colour? Is it nice in person or too bright? I’m considering this or the Ara Blue, but the Ara Blue won’t match the extended blue interior I’m going for (believe interior is in satin Turbo Blue).
