Duke and Duchess of Cambridge meet Holocaust survivors in London

- The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met with Holocaust survivors ahead of the UK Holocaust Memorial Day Commemorative Ceremony in London.
The event also marks the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau. Prince William and Kate lit candles to honour the six million Jews murdered by Nazi Germany.

The Royal family was blessed the day Catherine married William. She is such an asset to the family. I bet the Queen is so proud of these two.

His Grandmother - our Queen - was part of the WW2 effort instead of fleeing to safety. His father - Prince Charles (and our next Monarch) - was talking about climate change and carbon footprinting long before it became fashionable. Prince William has been taught his role well and with the love of his best friend and wife to support him will continue to go from strength to strength.
You can't teach compassion. So wonderful that their royal highnesses Prince William and Princess Catherine seem to have been born with much compassion ❤❤

I'm not even British but I love William and Catherine so...... much, especially Catherine. She's such a good model for a woman. A great wife, mom, daughter, daughter-in-law, Princess, fashionista with affordable prices, very classy, dignified, gorgeous woman with amazing figure like a super model, genuine smile and genuine love for others. Watching The faces of these two precious members of the Monarchy showed real caring and empathy of both HRH Prince William and HRH Duchess Catherine. They are learning and growing in preparation of being King and Royal Consort. I only hope I live long enough to see them take their thrones.

@@clareswahn106 yes as Charles and many family members did as well. The Dutchess is not called Kate by anyone. She is addressed as Catharine by not just William but by the entire family. Even her parents call her Catharine after her formal announcement to be called Catharine

I do not wish to say anything detracting, but I just cannot help but think how.. exhausting it must be to meet so people from so many different walks of life and have to... be personable, interested, knowledgeable, etc. It cannot be easy. Sure, a person probably gets better at it with time, but it just seems like a lot of effort must be required. For me personally, I usually cannot wait to get AWAY from people, these two - they... I just.. I would tire so quick.
Yes it really puts it in perspective how hard they work when you see an actual vid and not just 2 or 3 random pictures from an event. It takes patience and stamina and diplomacy to do what they do so well.
William was born into it, comes naturally. Kate seems like a shy, sociable person who loves people :) That's how they do it. I'm sure it's a job sometimes, like anything else. But they seem to enjoy it and be truly genuine about it. It's when you love people and want their well-being.
