He always sorta "talks" more than he "sings", and vocal rhythms are always pretty simple. Tommy the Cat is a good example. Which isn't to say it isn't hard, but just a testament to how damn good and savvy Les is.

Not that surprising really. A lot of Tech Death bassists are influenced by Les Claypool. After all, he's the OG fretless bass wizard. Also, he played a Mudvayne cover not too long ago, and their bassist, Ryan Martinie is very influenced by Les too.
