Enjoyed your video! Please do another one like this and in this format. I also loved Big Wolf on Campus, Breaker High, Radio Free Roscoe, and Flash Forward! You could also do more videos on the specific shows and other actors of Degrassi and Strange Days at Blake Holsey High.
Strange days was such a cool show that *I* black holed in my memory lol. It was always fun seeing these little kid actors crossover onto other shows and kinda grow up with them.
HOLY HECK YES!!! Us Canadians had our own little “Brat Pack” of members comprised of an weirdly insular (pretty incestous) group of performers, who, all liked each other for the most part for some reason. And if you want to make art in Canada, you’re GOING to meet someone who’s “a working professional actor” I was born in the mid 90s and called a lot of these performers “stage siblings” in my head because of how often they were paired up with each other. Hell, somebody who has nothing to do with Degrassi once said to me: “You can call us (brothers and sisters) that, I don’t mind ❤”
Bruh I’m born in 95 and even though I was alive for 5 years, all of the nostalgia primarily comes from early to mid 2000s stuff. Mostly 06-09 cause I was in middle school then
I loved your video so much that I didn’t fast forward even once. That is a true rarity for me, as you captured my interest and left me wanting for more😊😅 I subscribed to you, and am hoping you create a sequel video to this one. Please keep up the great work, Mac, you’re wicked awesome!
I really liked the video and content. I hadn’t heard of The Zack Files or My Best Friend is an Alien, but I have of course crossed Degrassi (and might currently be on an entire series re-watch). I dig the format you went with. Felt a little stream of consciousness, while still managing to wrap everything back to itself. It made it entertaining and kept my attention with the way you broke stuff up. I mean this as a tremendous compliment -- I got interrupted watching your video the first time and put it down - I then remembered to come back and actually finish it hours later - this means I was truly interested in your content presentation. Anyway, keep on keeping on!
Love this video! I enjoyed it and is definitely looking forward to a part 2, let’s keep this Canadian tv multiverse goin! Just wondering what the inspiration for this video was, keep up the amazing content!!
More to come for sure! Thanks a lot for the feedback! I was looking for a video like this on TH-cam and couldn’t find it so I decided to do it myself! (Thanos voice)
Nice! You’ll love the second and 3rd parts I’m working on now, more focussed on the 90s. Some of the actors you’ll see inside: Ryan gosling, Ryan reynolds and Jay Baruchel as kids.
Murdoch is set in early 1900’s Toronto not 1920’s. I went to university with a guy named Andrew who was in one of those Canadian shows that dealt with weird goings on in Canada. The episode he was in was set at a university but I cannot remember the name of the show.
Oh and ps, i notice a lot of child actor exposes coming to light in the last few years, and I’m hesitant (almost uncomfortable) to watch anything with kids in it now (even when I was a kid, I understood actors were made up characters telling a made up story, and none of it was real)

Glad you enjoyed it! Great idea! I’m already working on part 2!
Omg NO ONE talks about Breaker High! I loved that show! Also, South of Nowhere is so so underrated. It was ahead of its time

I have a weird nostalgia for 80s stuff and I was born in 89! I get it!

The only time I did fast forward was when Robert Clark was talking about himself. It was cringy.
Dude, the music at the end for me. I have subbed this was great.

Thanks so much! I’m working on episode 2 now and it follows the same style. Glad you dig it!
I had a big crush on Robert Clark when I watched Strange Days at Blake Holsey High
I liked watching him and the other actors on that show. Also enjoyed watching his brother Daniel Clark on Degrassi: The Next Generation.

Appreciate it
I was born and raised in America in the mid 80s so this is like peeking into an alternate dimension for me

If you're doing a part 2, are you going to mention Michael Cera in there?
I can definitely do that, I figured he's so famous that he isn't someone people have forgotten about, but I can throw him in for the next one.
I grew up in Surrey, I had NO famous people I grew up with smh 🤦🏾♂️
