Gordon Goodwin (born 1954) is an L.A.-based composer, arranger, conductor and multi-instrumentalist. Goodwin earned his bachelor’s degree in music from Cal State Northridge, before launching his career writing a musical for Disney and performing with the Louie Bellson big band. More recently, Goodwin founded the “The Big Phat Band”, in which Goodwin plays both piano and saxophone. In addition to his three Emmy Awards, Goodwin won the 2012 Grammy for Best Instrumental Arrangement for his rendition of George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue”, and a Grammy for Best Instrumental Arrangement for his work on the film “The Incredibles”. Goodwin’s film scores include “National Treasure”, “Star Trek: Nemesis” and “Enemy of the State”, while his work has also been featured in the television series “The Animaniacs”, “Tom and Jerry” and “Freakazoid”.
