I bought your book, ‘The Book of Cymbeline’ as an early Christmas gift to myself while buying some things for my younger cousins at Christmas. I also got Penguin English library paperback of ‘Sandition’ as well as 3 other books.
Gorgeous new additions! I got books to complete a few of my collections as well :) Plus a new Elizabeth Goudge title. And alllll the tea! Cannot wait to see your tour of Porthos' rare books!
What a bunch of beautiful books! Cats is based off Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats. It's is such a fun musical, but I'd recommend watching the 1998 version rather than the recent CGI movie.
Your posts are just lovely! So joyous! I got a book lovers wall calendar from my mom. My dad was actually on sabbatical as a professor in England many years ago and while in Yorkshire met the real James Harriott and got an autographed copy of All Creatures! He gifted it to my lovely sister in law!! Thanks to 2 BOOKTUBERS I am starting my new year with Great Expectations and War and Peace. I have read both than once!! SO EXCITED!! [One of them is Tristan of Tristan and the Classics whom I just adore!!)
Your collection of books is the envy of all booktube! Lol I just love how you curate it! And how your family makes that a priority. I hope your brothers enjoyed those awesome bokk stamps!!
Happy New Year, Emma! 🎉 What gorgeous books and such a lovely blanket! My fiancé actually surprised me with a few of the Disney Princess fashion pins you had shown in one of your last videos - I think he must have overheard me watching and thought they would make a great gift 😆 They really are just as stunning in-person! ✨
I got 5 books...including yours! 1) The English Bookshop 2) A Wicked Magic 3) The Lost Book of Eleanor Dare 4) The Book of Cymbeline 5) Fairytale Baking
@@BookishPrincess I told my mom The Book of Cymbeline was a MUST OWN! 😊 It is, honestly, one of the cosiest reads that is already on my all time favourites!
Do you have any tips for actually sticking to a planner/engagement calendar? I start with good intentions, but never follow through. This year I am just using some pretty notebooks, thinking perhaps I just haven't found the right planner and I will stick to blank pages. Old books are such wonderful treasures, I like to imagine when the book was brand-new, the first person to hold it. My oldest is a 1909 metaphysics book my grandfather gave me, the most fun one is a 1936 Nancy Drew. The sweater you have on is so lovely
I know what you mean! I'm constantly falling behind in my planner, but I try not to worry too much, and just enjoy an afternoon of catching up, even if it's a few months at a time, lol. Sometime blank pages are less pressure, definitely go with what works for you! Your old books sound so lovely!
Haha, it's definitely not the pronunciation you'd guess, but that's what I've heard! He is such a wonderful poet, I'm so excited to have him on my shelf!
Love the Regency books and the nameplate. It’s fun to imagine the original owners of the books!
The rement Pokémon figures are so adorable!

The Alcotts were so fascinating!
The books are gorgeous but I must have those Pokémon figurines 🤣🤣 so fun!!!
lol, the Pokemon figurines are so beautiful, I wish they were easier to find in the U.S., but luckily there's eBay!
That poem was one of the ones also in the musical...and I sang along with you.
Haha, as I was reading it, I was realizing, this sounds like the lyrics from a musical... 😹
I am currently using The Reading Woman Journal and love it so much. I really wish they would continue to create them. Great vlog Emma.
The book-style Reading Woman engagement calendars were so lovely, I wish they'd continue making them. They feature such beautiful paintings!
