Amen! The USA needs to get away from the WHO as well as the UN. They are a big part of the push toward the NWO, and we need to get as far away from them as possible. I don’t trust them.
I worked as a pharmacy technician for a few months. Literally every customer that came through the line were prescribed the same 3 medications. Some may have been prescribed more than those three, but all were on those three. I knew the pharmacy field was not for me once I started to notice that. It’s like patients reach a certain age and automatically the prescription pad comes out. This was just what I observed. Thankfully, I’m sure this is not true in all instances.
I told my doc I was losing weight and he asked "what's your ideal weight ?" I told him it's not a number - it's a feel" ............ Great minds think alike !
Our Dr. was the one who told us about ketosis and IF. After we started following his suggestions we didn’t lose much weight (didn’t need to), but my blood sugar stabilized and became normal. My BP also dropped significantly. So many improvements. He works for a huge HMO that is proactive not reactive. We’re very blessed to be members.
I have had similar discussions with my GP. I have consulted with Dr Eric Westman here in NC, and then went for a cardiac consult and a CAC score and an aortic scan. What I found was the recommendation for statin use is essentially the entire population. Since I had already discontinued my low dose statin I refused to restart it as the potential benefit is negligible and the Minnesota Cardiac study indicates lowering cholesterol and LDL can result in increased all cause mortality.
You are so right on! I didn't want you to stop talking, you were on such a roll. My mother's doctor knew better about the LDL issue and told us she wasn't concern with it. Mom was doing low carb, high fat. And opps! Her severe diabetes disappeared! Lie = professional kick boxing. 😊
I find it ironic you'd talk about LDL this week. I've been going through this with my PCP, and refused to start statins without further blood work. Last fall she referred me to a cardiologist for a consult, but because I don't have any established heart issues (and because I wanted to deal with things nutritionally before relying on meds) he didn't want to work with me. Fast forward to a few weeks ago when I had my annual physical (no blood work tho) and she's about to retire. We talked openly and she shared that she'd spoken about my WOE and reluctance to go onto statins with a friend who happens to be a noted cardiologist. She couldn't find any tests in the standard panels that would provide enough evidence to satisfy us both (and she also had her assistant research them too). The cardiologist suggested having a cardiac calcium scoring to see definitively what my risk of stroke & heart attack were. This uses a CT scan to measure plaque in the heart. It cost me $160 out of pocket for this test - and was worth every penny! (I'd already had a screening for plaque in the major blood vessels and had none.) We all expected there to be a lot (I thought so because of my previous lifestyle.) She even snail-mailed me a few articles she'd cut from recent medical journals (all of which said there isn't enough info to know what the long term impact of eating LC/keto are). The results came back on her last day - no plaque - at all. Zero on every view. I'm so thankful to have found a physician who was open to this lifestyle, but skeptical enough to ensure I am not doing myself harm. I know she spent hours of her personal time researching this and I will miss her tremendously! Hopefully my new PCP will be as receptive (she seems to be so far). Medicine is an evolving science. It's important to work with doctors who combine the current knowledge with a curiosity about things outside their wheelhouse. Good luck Steve (and anyone else having those discussions with their docs)!
I had that CT scan two years ago. My score was a 1. Anything under 10 is supposed to be fine, as I understand it. Also that "1" may have deposited itself pre-keto...
@@SeriousKeto- my understanding is that for this particular test 0 means normal (minimal risk in the next 2-5 years), 1-100 is low risk, 101-300 is moderate, and 300+ is high risk. The test you had may be a different one.
I don’t trust WHO and never listen/watch ‘mainstream’ media. I avoid sugar substitutes and wish someone would try using fruits to sweeten recipes. Wish Hashimoto’s and LUPUS, weight loss is a real struggle so if I need a sweet treat and don’t want to go off keto, then I’ll use a sugar substitute for sure. Great video!!!
I don't eat fruit in any form. I don't touch fructose. The impact of the oxidation it causes in LDL is not worth the fructose in fruit. Since I went with natural fats (avocado and olive oils and butter) my 95% blocked carotid has reduced to 75%. There is a reduction in aortic plaque build up. The doctor was stunned. No fruit, no seed or liquid oils other than the 2 above.
Hi Steve, I to was against taking a statin, but I did more research especially listening to Dr Peter Attia. Now I am taking a low dose statin, Pravastatin. Interesting info from numerous guest specialists on his podcasts. I also can recommend Dr Peter Attia's new book Outlive.
I determined my desired weight by remembering what I weighed in my 20s just out of college which was 175. I was fairly fit then. In my early 30s, I joined a bicycle club and started doing some serious bicycle riding. My weight went up to 180 (more leg muscle) , waist measurement stayed constant (38) . This was the best fitness in my life. Fast forward to 2012 (age 60), I ballooned to 245 # due to stress eating and being caught in a corporate job. I retired early and with all my extra spare time, I started biking again and worked on losing weight with portion control. This was prior to my keto life. I did reach 180 and stayed there for 6 years. So, I picked 180 as my ideal weight. Same number of pounds, and same waist size as in my 30's. BUT, for some reason, I had lots more blubber everywhere. I've been working on boosting my muscle mass, but I don't have a way to measure that. Don't seem to be making progress on that front. I also picked up a COVID 15# weight boost the past 3 years, still working on getting back to 180. Ain't as fit nor as lean as my 20's, but I'll take it. There is some personal satisfaction in being able to fit in the same size pants as 40 years ago.
Body Dysmorphia is a weird thing. I hear this so often that I believe that every single one of us who have an eating disorder have that in one form or another. I personally was 420 lbs at my heaviest and the lowest was 265 and I am up to 300 slowly loosing again. But the person I see in the mirror is the same person I saw with 400, 260 and now. Taking pictures helps but only to a degree because with 420 I took selfies that I loved. Where I thought I look great and today I am horrified what I looked like so,,, even pictures lie or lets say the brain lies to you. Its fascinating and scary. And if I had not experienced it myself, I would not believe it.
So true. I am overweight per bmi charts. Was at low end of obesity. Lost only 10 lbs so far but I swear when looking in mirror I had subconsciously disregarded the size of my stomach and the amount of fat I had. Now I force myself to look at it. And it helps me to realize I need to keep up the keto lifestyle. The alternative is increasing weight, diabetes, and misery.
i feel like this is just a general aspect of humans in the same way that artists will never think their art is good enough. what we see as flaws stick out to us the most compared to anything good that may be there.
I have a different body dysphoria. I think I look good in the mirror and then see pictures of myself and I get really sad because I see the reality and it does not fit my mirror perception. It's very disheartening. At least I don"t go off the rails and stay the course. 😔
@@carmijok1 i think part of that is how candid a photo can be. even celebrities and models can look different if you catch them at a bad time. the thing about the mirror is that we can adjust our posture to try and look how we want but cameras will catch us if we are ready or not ;P
Thanks Steve. My annual physical First of May) and all labs were good except the LDL. Family doc mentioned statins and I said no. He is looking at what I’ve sent him. My annual cardiology visit (last week) has heart doc writing a script while I said no. I’m going to do this slow as I’m not convinced that statins are the way to go.
I believe that the benefit of a statin is measured in just days of increased longevity, versus seriously life altering side effects. Weigh the risk versus benefit, cholesterol is not well understood by the medical profession 👍
After 7 years on keto you know i had this discussion quite a few times. I was prepared last time with two options for statins to give my provider. Both were available at Walmart for $40 a year. I told him if the insurance company was going to give him a hard time about not putting me on a statin that I would fill the prescription and then immediately throw them in the garbage. But as far as he or the insurance company new I had taken them. I'm willing to do these things for a primary that is keto friendly to keep him on my insurance plan and not get trouble with them.
That's the other way I thought about approaching the subject with my doc - ask him if he really believes statins help, or is he being "incentivized" by insurance or someone else to prescribe them.
@@karenribby5920 That's even easier. The south Publix supermarkets , and I think Walmart and of course possibly other chains around the country offer metformin for free. Least they did when I was still diabetic before remission
Money talks, and Big Sugar has lots o loot. "Two Truths and a Lie" sounds like a lot of fun! I'm thinking, since your fitness level prior to keto was not a priority, kick boxing may be the lie. The prank-calling cat is hilarious, and probably true.
Amazing podcast!! Your point of view is always so legit and honest. I acquired keto for my son w epilepsy and definitely these changes including using stevia/monk fruit make our journey adjustable for our whole family. Once again Thank you for sharing real data!
I guess we think the cat story is so outrageous you wouldn't make it up, and lots of people love raw onion. So I'm agreeing with many others, and calling out the kickboxing as the lie. I'm glad you caught Colton's order before it went through, but it sounds like he has a huge wish list for gifts! Too cute.
I have read several articles lately saying that the studies done years ago (I think post WW2) were faulty at best. The data was not interpreted correctly. From the articles I have read lately they say there is no correlation between cholesterol and heart disease. I only go to the doctor once a year for my physical. Every year my doctor suggests statins. She knows now what I will tell her and that is "Why would I take a drug for something that I can control with diet." Regarding the WHO; I have come to distrust them a lot over the past 3 years.
Steve ~ excellent podcast! Seeing & hearing you today reminded me of your plumper self prior keto. You look fantastic & continue to be a great motivator for those of us on keto. Thanks much for your podcast. 👍🏽
Another point about this recommendation by the WHO is that it doesn't compare sugar to NSS. As mentioned by Prof Nita Forouhi: "Some specific limitations include the fact that most of the RCTs did not explicitly compare the replacement of sugar consumption with non-sugar sweeteners..."
I table the statin discussion each year by doing an out-of-pocket coronary calcium score; as long it is zero or near zero there is little to address. I also occasionally get a body composition scale reading (at some nutritional or bariatric offices) to know my lean muscle/skin/bones to fat and water proportions. The worrisome fat level was far lower when actually measured by electricity rather than guessed with the make-believe BMI - especially if oddly boned or more muscled while heavy. The composition reading is more helpful for you too, to base your macros on to retain (or maybe build) muscles. Doctors usually appreciate those two results to mitigate the refusal to take statins.
Loved Colton🎉 "going shopping on Grandma's phone" and good humor with it not being through uour link! Kickboxng is the lie, I bet. Id love to meet your prank dialing cat!
In the last few years, it has become very obvious that we shouldn’t just take medical studies at face value! We always have to know at the very least who’s paying for the studies! Thanks Steve…I’m doubting the kickboxing claim! 😂
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on ideal weight. I hadn't put together the idea that having a goal weight is tied to a diet mentality vs. accepting keto as a lifestyle.
my goal was to get off Metformin and control my blood sugar..I have set my weight range between 125 and 130. I am 5'1" 75 yo female. Have been maintaining over a year with those goals. So far it works for me. Mostly ketovore/carnivore. WHO is a joke.
There is a huge uptick in blood clots heart attacks strokes but it isn't being caused by allulose. They'll blame anything but the obvious culprit. The W.H.O is very corrupt and we need to keep them out of our business 💯
Thank you for all your comments. Many people, including me, don’t know everything we should.,so we need to know what you think. For me, that’s important.
Long before discovering Keto, when I was first diagnosed with high cholesterol, I was put on statens and boy, was that painful! Eventually the statens were replaced by Zetia, which did the trick without the pain. After practicing Keto for a year, I went off even that for 8 months before my cholesterol started creeping up again, so it's back on the Zetia, pain free.
Excellent podcast today. Interesting thoughts on 'ideal body weight'; makes perfect sense. I have a number in mind and am never satisfied unless I'm there. It is ridiculous and something to work on. Thanks, Steve!
The cat!! Too funny with Colton, smart guy! Since starting Keto in February I use Allulose. I had some real sugar recently during a celebration and man I sure paid for it. Havent felt that sick in a while since my body wasnt used to having sugar. I agree on the ideal bkdy weight of just feeling good. I feel soooo great since starting Keto and almost at what I thought was my goal but now im sure so happy to feel the way I do. Great video! Nice to hear info like this.
Great podcast! Onion is the lie. I know your heart skipped a beat when you saw the Amazon cart, but it made me laugh at loud. It reminded me of something my son did in the 1990s. I won't go into it here. But after the anger of finding out what he had been doing for several months, a thought ran through my mind: "If only he could use his powers for good instead of evil." LOL
Totally agree. I had the same cholesterol talk with my physician recently and once again refused statins. And I further agree that the sweetener study is deeply flawed.
LOL Colton! Twenty years ago, I got a notice from Amazon that the Barbie I ordered was on the way. I didn't order a Barbie. But when I went to my account, it was right there! While telling my husband, my then four year old daughter said, "I ordered the Barbie!" She could read Buy it Now and that's all she wrote. Well at least it was only around $40. We still don't have Buy it Now enabled, haha.
It's my understanding that one of the primary reasons someone might want to know their "ideal" body weight is, is to determine whether they are meeting their protein needs. You can do that by a body urea nitrogen test (BUN) and a creatinine test. They will tell you if -- or if not -- you are meeting your protein needs. More important than ideal body weight is % of visceral fat. Ideally you want visceral fat to be below 10%. Regarding LDL & statins; as you know, statins are the most overly-prescribed drugs. You can thank the drug cartels like Merck & Pfizer for that. The LDL particle size is much more important. An LP-IR test will tell you that. Otherwise, I'm happy to hear that your ratios are ideal. Thanks as always for all you do :-)
I’ve gotten my LDL pattern done to determine whether my LDL was of the kind that is really dangerous. (I went online to order this) My pattern is A which is not at all dangerous. I plan on presenting my doctor with these results and ignore any further discussion of statins.
Hey Steve, at your physical ask for an Advanced Lipid Test i got the NMR Lipoprotein Test. It will show the whole picture. It brakes down the Large Ldl and small Ldl and the total partical numbers. It shows your insulin resistant score. I asked the last two visits and insurance covered the test
Hi, Steve, I think that the professional kickboxing is the lie and my goal isn’t losing weight (although, that will happen) it’s to get off my insulin and other meds for diabetes. And, it’s slowly working 🎉🎉! And, yes, I’ve lost some weight. That’s great, too. I really enjoy your podcasts, Steve. Thanks 🙏.
For cardiologist statins are way more than getting your "numbers" in line. My husband had high sclesterol and bad "numbers" in this area in general. He took a statin and had a reaction, so went off the statin and with doctor's care used niacin and some other non statin things to bring down his "number." Then in 2015 had the "widow maker" heart attack. Luckily the stars were aligned and he got quick treatment through angioplasty where they opened two almost completely.blocked arteries. Upon coming out of the procedure , he doctor said about 3 or 4 times "His arteries look like crap. Why wasn'the on a statin!" I said I don't understand his "numbers" were all in line. The cardiologist said statins do way more than lower the numbers. Statins heal the artery walls and keep them healthy. He put him on a different statin than he was on before. Now 7 years later he has had no more cardiac episodes. And by the way, his Uncle dropped dead at 53 from a heart attack. My husband was 53 in 2015. So basically there is more to statins than lowering the numbers.
Hey Steve people ask me all the time about the ideal body weight. I basically have told them now is weight on scale does not matter. Go get a dexascan and shoot for the body fat % you want to maintain. I don’t really weigh myself any more but I get a dexa twice a year. Once I get to 15% body fat I am going to eat to maintain that. I have already lost about 60% of my body fat since I started a little more than a year ago. Even though 160 pounds is cool as well. Thanks for the podcast Steve. Keep doing you.
Yes... Please do the Feldman Protocol!! Great to share in a video and I am personally curious 🙂 No need to be secretive w your Dr. at all Just do what you mentioned " I will come back and test in a well "
I've had a similar stand-off with my primary care person, a nurse practitioner. She's tried to put me on statins. I'm not going to take those. Ever. Not happening. I agree with your assessment of the "studies" , and WHO's article. I've noticed the same thing before, and seen stevia and monk fruit grouped in with artificial sweeteners. I've seen erythritol tossed in there, too. I've refused artificial sweeteners all my life. First because they taste awful to me, then later, also because of harmful effects that have now been identified and linked to those sweeteners. I'm not giving up my erythritol, allulose, xylitol, Bochasweet, stevia, and monk fruit. Not giving up glycine or katemfe, either.
All of my numbers perfect except cholesterol…my doc not open to KETO..pushing statins every time I go..Doctors were never concerned when I was 180 pounds…now I am 135 and never a mention of my obesity. They have warned me of KETO health risks…but their diet drugs never worked..my cholesterol has always been in the 250 range…I too am feeling body dysmenorrhea because of the weight loss, I have extra skin.
Always very interesting and I agree with everything you talked about. I pick #1 as the lie, only because your eyes shifted up and talking about the other 2 things, they looked straight ahead.
I noticed the same thing. However, I also know that sometimes people look up at their "think spot" when considering or contemplating what to say. When a person is telling a lie, they typically maintain eye contact.
great talk - I agree about all of it and how misinformed big industries still are about the health benefits of keto.. Also, I'm lovin' all your cool shirts you wear!
Dr. Cywes recents mentioned this study: Pravastatin in elderly individuals at risk of vascular disease (PROSPER): a randomised controlled trial - PubMed, highlighting the only folks who need a statin are those with high triglycerides and low HDL. So, that's not you.
STEEEEEVE. You have been reading my mind! The sugar substitute bull-crap from WHO, the cholesterol talk with my doctor (I had the same idea with the Feldman Protocol, but I don't think she'd be amused - now I can't figure out if I should get a different doctor!) and ideal body weight. I have landed in a weight place, (50 lbs down) I love my weight place, I have new clothes and I love how they feel. But to be within the "normal" weight for my height, and not "overweight" I should lose another 5 pounds. Ugh. I think the BMI scale is ridiculous, and yet, I yearn to not be officially "overweight." My husband was assuring me that according to my fat % on our scale, I am well within normal, even ideal. ANYWAY, another great video Steve! And, I vote for eating the onions as a kid as the "lie." BTW, I've spent countless hours reading about cholesterol in the last couple of weeks, I was won over to the statin side for a while, now I'm back to the no-statin side. It takes so much time to go through all those studies and tease out what I think is most likely to be good science. Anyway. I continue to learn. xoxo Love your videos, especially these personal ones. And Colton!!! OMG
I don't know, most of us docs (including those of us on keto) are a little biased because we saw the horrendous epidemic of cardiovascular disease that was decimated by the introduction of statins. Remember J. I. Rodale or Jim Fixx? Bet they wish they had a statin. If you do go on a stain, I would highly recommend simvastatin because it has excellent anti-inflammatory properties. But you do you.
In my case, I’m a type one diabetic, I cannot use sugar. The only thing that does not spike my glucose or sugar, substitute, the good healthier sugar, substitute, like Stevia, and erythritol and allulose and monkfruit
IMO body fat % is a better measurement to track (quantitative) to go along w/ your qualitative (feel) while recompositioning your body. Doesn’t matter if your scale is right or not, just consistent.
Hey Steve, I agree with you 100%; it sounds like you just need a new doctor. If recommend the Feldman protocol, or have him do an Advanced Lipid profile instead. About Stevia and Erythritol, it's fairly easy to present them in a bad light by just picking one of the many options that have more dextrose or maltodextrin (or both), than they have Stevia or Erythritol.
So interesting about body dysmorphia. I look in the mirror and think, hey, not too bad! But then I see a picture of me or video, and WHOA... I am still huge. I am the opposite of most people. I don't know how I started thinking that I look ok. Yes, I have lost about 75 pounds so far, but I clearly have a long way to go. I would love to see 230 pounds, about where you started.
@@SeriousKeto thanks Steve, my numbers are similar to yours, high HDL, low Triglycerides and higher LDL. Going for annual next week. Plan on asking for the particle size test.
One of my kids told me I needed to stop buying my grandchildren anything they wanted. Turns out they had figured out their parent’s Amazon password and told them that all the parcels came from me.
The organization in question has proposed changing the rules that member states agree to, so that the organization can dictate to member states AND their populations as to what treatments must be taken and what may not be used, as well as new diet rules.
Steve love your videos. I too have issues with words sounding wrong to me. I usually end of looking them up on the internet, LOL. Have a great summer.😀
My cholesterol numbers are probably fairly similar to yours. I think my total cholesterol for my last series of labs was 207. My cholesterol ratio is only 2.4. My doctor is of the opinion that my cholesterol ratio is of more importance than a slightly elevated total cholesterol. I would never agree to taking a statin, there are just too many debilitating side effects.
Regarding LDL, you could have your doctor do a CAC test and the good results should end the statin discussion for good. I once had a PCP who tried to put me on statins at the same time my insurance company gave me a discount for my great numbers. They looked at ratios, PCP did not.
I had a CAC. I scored a 1. My understanding is that anything under a 10 is fine. Oh, and who knows if that "1" was achieved pre-keto during my 50 years of eating like crap...
@@SeriousKeto - that is great! Your doctor doesn’t understand what that means? You might need to just tell him you aren’t concerned (what I told mine b4 finally switching doctors). I hate that we have to know more than the doctors in order to prevent them from harming us with bad, unnecessary drugs.
At the moment, the WHO is trying to convince the international community to sign a treaty that would give them control over health issues above and beyond national control. In particular, the treaty would allow them to decide what is 'misinformation' and censor it. Can you imagine if they suddenly decided to censor anyone who promoted these kind of products? Terrifying.
Agree 100% with your take on the WHO article. These are all interesting and I'm leaning towards the cat making prank calls but depends on if the cat used a cell phone versus a land line. 😂
My doctor is an osteopath, and he treats me as an intelligent person. He knows statins are off the table for me. My bloodwork is similar to yours. Both my parents were on blood thinners and statins, and they both had strokes because of blocked arteries. They survived, and had to have their arteries cleared out. Im not a believer.
on the topic of "ideal weight" i feel a similar sentiment. it's not so much about the weight so much as "fitness" for me. it's less about how much you weigh and more about how healthy your body is, especially since muscle also contributes to weight and that'll just skew your metrics.
Sadly, I don't think that most doctors care to know more about cholesterol. I think their main concern is following guidelines. It has been many years since I've had a pcm that even wants to do any investigating as to cause of an issue.
Hmmm…interesting…think I’ll have to go with the onion. Right there with you on the dysmorphia. I’ve lost 108 pounds and the guy in the mirror looks just like the I saw 108 pounds ago. I can’t believe Colton didn’t use your link?!?! Seriously Steve, what are you teaching him?
My guess is the prank calling cat choice is the lie. I've been meaning to thank you for recommending Dr. Westman's content. I heard you mention him a while back so I looked him up and he's been a fav of mine ever since.
One thing you can do is get a coronary calcium score and a nuclear stress test to make your doctor's head explode. My husband started going to a cardiologist this year due to AFib. But it was the conversation about cholesterol that made us angry. The doctor was convinced my husband must have blocked arteries due to his high LDL and we tried to discuss exactly what you're talking about. The doctor said, among other things, that we were 'woefully misinformed' and put some pretty insulting remarks in my husband's records. Ater the calcium score came back nearly zero and he had no blockage or narrowing on the stress test, the doctor seemed confused. Statin was ordered anyway & doctor seemed so pleased with himself when the follow up labs showed lower LDL. We're looking into how to tell this cardiologist to take a hike along with his statin but haven't found the best info to present to the doctor yet.
I've never been more eager to give you a thumbs up! The WHO is to be avoided and distrusted.
I agree with you 100%

I feel like prank calling cat is so impossible we are supposed to pick that as lie... so surely that is not it. ??
You are good at this game Steve!!
Can’t wait to next week to hear the stories. 😊
Lie: kick boxing Loved your thoughts about artificial sweeteners & WHO. Thanks for keeping us informed.
I’m seriously thinking of doing that with the metformin my doctor wants me to take!
Ah yes, that's a good guess. Maybe I should change my guess of the onion 🌰
Too cute.
Nice to hear from Steve!
Great show this week! Thanks!
Keto definitely is lifelong for me. THIS is the only method I know I can "do" for rest of my life. I am motivated by how much better I feel.
You're a good man.
Kick boxing. Thanks for applying logic and reason to that article, doesn't seem to be much of that left these days. Thanks for posting.
Also…it’s a good thing Terri doesn’t have the buy now button! 😮
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on ideal weight. I hadn't put together the idea that having a goal weight is tied to a diet mentality vs. accepting keto as a lifestyle.
I like you more and more. 😂Between WHO and the CDC… Correlation not not mean causation. Frankly I think the sugar industry paid WHO for that article.
And selective use of relative risk and absolute risk.
my goal was to get off Metformin and control my blood sugar..I have set my weight range between 125 and 130. I am 5'1" 75 yo female. Have been maintaining over a year with those goals. So far it works for me. Mostly ketovore/carnivore. WHO is a joke.
I appreciate your channel. Your comparative recipe videos are very helpful. Thank you, I’m new to low carb.
There is a huge uptick in blood clots heart attacks strokes but it isn't being caused by allulose. They'll blame anything but the obvious culprit. The
W.H.O is very corrupt and we need to keep them out of our business 💯
Thank you for all your comments. Many people, including me, don’t know everything we should.,so we need to know what you think. For me, that’s important.
I couldn’t agree with you more on this!
I tried the Dave Feldman’s method with my last blood test. It did not work for me. My numbers sky rocketed. I’m looking forward to hear your results.
Great video! Thank you! Colton is so cute! Great story!
Great episode!.
I have, and I'm convinced my doctor doesn't know how to interpret it.
Thanks 🙏.
Amen
Great to share in a video and I am personally curious 🙂
No need to be secretive w your Dr. at all
Just do what you mentioned
" I will come back and test in a well "
I love that, ideal weight is when you feel best physically and mentally
Love your Tee Shirt!!!!
There is a blood test that measures the two types of LDL, small dense and large fluffy. The small dense are the worrisome ones.
correct. I had my doc give me that test, and frankly, I think he didn't understand it.
@@SeriousKeto Right, it's the NMR test and most doctors are not up on how to interpret it !!!
My HDL is high and Trigs are low but my LDL is a little high. My doc just says "i guess youre not interested in statins". Good doc
i swear, if something bad actually comes out about allulose i will cry. its been a lifesaver for our family
I'm sure it's coming. The sugar industry has lots of money to fund these "scientific studies".
great talk - I agree about all of it and how misinformed big industries still are about the health benefits of keto.. Also, I'm lovin' all your cool shirts you wear!
Consider the sources....need I say more? Neither are honest in their reporting or statements. Thank you Steve for speaking truth!
Dr. Cywes recents mentioned this study: Pravastatin in elderly individuals at risk of vascular disease (PROSPER): a randomised controlled trial - PubMed, highlighting the only folks who need a statin are those with high triglycerides and low HDL. So, that's not you.
Professional kickboxing…💋🧚🏻♀️❤️🇺🇸
The biggest slight on the WHO is the fact that we still don't know where COVID came from.
Great video Steve, I'm going with the onion and I'm dying to hear the story about the prank calling cat......lol
I am preparing a whole list of studies referenced by the doctors we all are following and will give the list to my doctor. End of discussion.
Thanks for sharing! Have you ever done a LDL particle size test?
Yes, and the numbers were good. But it's clear that my doctor just doesn't understand or care.
I think the kickboxing is the lie. I'm sure you're thankful that Colton didn't hit the 'order now' button. 🤣😂🤣
Lie: Kickboxing. Good episode today.
and IF your Doctor.. watches your videos/youtubes. He should know you are doing amazing.
Whenever I hear something the the WHO says I usually do the opposite. I have found them to be unreliable and untrustworthy.
I used ideal body weight to set a minimum protein goal.
on the topic of "ideal weight" i feel a similar sentiment. it's not so much about the weight so much as "fitness" for me. it's less about how much you weigh and more about how healthy your body is, especially since muscle also contributes to weight and that'll just skew your metrics.
Sadly, I don't think that most doctors care to know more about cholesterol. I think their main concern is following guidelines. It has been many years since I've had a pcm that even wants to do any investigating as to cause of an issue.
I don't disagree with anything you said.
It’s “ sick care” as apposed to” well care”!!
Thank goodness he brought it to you before hitting place order.... I think that the lie is the kick boxing.
Unpopular opinion I still use bmi for my ideal weight range and the lower end bc I am female. Am there and feel good!
According to BMI, I'm 15-45 lbs overweight 😉
Hmmm…interesting…think I’ll have to go with the onion. Right there with you on the dysmorphia. I’ve lost 108 pounds and the guy in the mirror looks just like the I saw 108 pounds ago. I can’t believe Colton didn’t use your link?!?! Seriously Steve, what are you teaching him?
My guess is the prank calling cat choice is the lie.
I've been meaning to thank you for recommending Dr. Westman's content. I heard you mention him a while back so I looked him up and he's been a fav of mine ever since.
I couldn't agree more. Like someone else said, I couldn't WAIT to give a thumbs up! I think the kickboxing is the lie! ☺️
I had a CAC and scored a 1 (which may have been from 50+ years of non-keto eating). My doc still wanted to put me on a statin.
