do you need the senso home with this latest model? Looks like the same touch screen and buttons. Aren't those features available on the boiler that are on the sensohome control? Including the weather sensor unit connection

Hey, does your radiator symbol have a line through it? If you press and hold the radiator symbol for at least 3 seconds then this usually reactivates your heating and a normal radiator symbol should appear without a line, meaning heating mode is activated.

Thanks for your info. I am a Belgian. In Belgium we have the Vaillant ecoTEC Exclusive and the Plus. (Pro is not offered anymore, nore is the pure) Do you know that EXclusive line ? I understand that this line comes with condensation on the tap water aswell and has more cupper/brass elements than the Plus line in Belgium. Do you know ? And is there a difference in lifetime expectance ? Thanks, Luc
please start to offer the 940 as well for people with high water demands, when the 840 isn't sufficient, even though its bulky its still better than having a system for two bathroom kitchen setup,
Hi Marek, the VUW 242 is a 24kW combi boiler, so for a like-for-like replacement, the ecoTEC plus 826, which is a 26kW model, would be a suitable choice. As a general guideline, a 26kW boiler like the 826 is typically adequate for a home with 1 bath/shower or a bath with an overhead shower. If your hot water demand is greater than this - for instance, if you have multiple bathrooms or a higher rate of simultaneous hot water usage - then the ecoTEC plus 832, which is a 32kW model, would be a more appropriate option.
The lifespan of the burner seal, specifically if it is the graphite type, does not have a statutory replacement time limit as long as Flue Gas Analysis (FGA) readings show correct combustion. However, the seal must be replaced every time the burner chamber is opened.
It’s a real shame valliant hasn’t updated the heat only model as well a 10 to 1 efficiency is what’s needed there as well not the 1 to 6 on the market now
@@Heatable i had a eco dan split x2 before on an older property pre 1920 listed, it had a 20kw heat loss and had 11kwh solar as well to help cut costs it used 14000 kw in one year compared to the old boiler that just cost 2600 to heat it and that was over 30 years old, a new boiler would be far cheaper to run,
please offer vaillant controls for this product with weather comp, current offerings don't make this boiler meet boiler plus rules and increase cycling

It is advised by Vaillant to have the Sensohome, but other smart thermostats and sensor units also work.

Will those controls turn down the flow temperature like how Opentherm does? And will it work on a 2 zone system?
Thanks for your comment! The Vaillant won't work on a 2-zone system, unfortunately. The controls can down the flow temperature though.
If you buy a l sensohome it works on two zones. The comfort home can have up to four zones.
