  • The capital city of Greece, Athens, has been completely covered in an orange haze following a huge dust storm on Tuesday.
According to officials, the blanket of dust was labelled as one of the worst episodes in the country since 2018.
The weather research director at the Athens Observatory, Kostas Lagouvardos, spoke about the crazy weather event.
“It’s one of the most serious episodes of dust and sand concentrations from the Sahara since March 21-22, 2018, when the clouds invaded the island of Crete in particular,” he said.
The huge blanket of dust covered several regions in Athens and other Greek cities after strong winds from the south.
The Sahara dust clouds covering the city have drastically lowered visibility and led to authorities warning of breathing risks.

This can be easily stopped if people pay higher carbon taxes.

The Sahara's a current arid stage began around 4000 years ago. The dust has been blowing a far as South America since then. Follow the science.

I would say that it looks like Mars.
But the science denying far right here don’t believe that Mars exists, so the comparison would be wasted.

No the ones with a brain who sift through NASA rover image know that Mars is the second habitable planet in our system.
