I'm alarmed by the subtle hate and toxicity thrown at Geoffrey Thorne. Just because the writer dares to have an opinion of his own different to the echo chamber on certain fiction. They went so far to belittle his multilayered style of writing. It's odd hardly anyone on social media feels thankful a veteran screenwriter and producer is involved projects like these.
As far as I know Thorne hasn't mind controlled me to write this. I did based on the nasty jabs I've seen about him in crappy social media. To name the main culprit Twatter X.
I really like Geoffrey Thorne. He did a great job with his run on Green Lantern. This is the only From The Ashes book that looks worthwhile, and that's because of him being the writer.
Really into this roster. The Wonder Twin girls are a bit off but i'm not mad if they are using Tank chrono ability with Askini that would be fun as well as with Captain Britian if this team deals with other dimension threats.
This team seem to be solid, but but it have a magic weakness. Forge tech invention ability does help mitigate this issue somewhat, but only if he's prepared before hand or survived the random encounter. Forge need to get his magic game up, because Apocalypse/Revelation has now outclassed him in the magic/tech combination with Dr. Doom at the top.
Otherworld threats include Dragons, Merlyn, the Hot Hive, Jamie getting Plastered and revenge of the multiverse’s biggest Simp; Saturnyne. But I do want either Selene or Stryfe trying to break them up,
This team has some potential cosmic heavy hitters. Multiple time manipulators, multiversal portal travel? Betsy can jump between realities too. I can’t wait!

The gimmick with Forge's new X-Force is that is a revolving door of past X-Force members. Every issue a new guest star. The Wolverine artist Capullo confirmed Forge is working closely with Colossus, Mirage and Domino.
Greg Capullo shared early art of the Wolverine book he illustrates and it featured Forge, Mirage, Colossus and Omega Red. We have to wait till Saladin Ahmed gives an interview of how interconnected his Wolverine solo with X-Force will be. It's a no brainer that Wolverine himself will guest star in X-Force and why not Omega Red too.
I like that they put Betsy on the team. It's good to see her doing stuff she did before she got her original body back. Even though it was in Kwannon's body, Betsy has been in almost every iteration of X-Force (as a black ops team). It felt weird that she suddenly wouldn't have an interest in the team. As for Rachel, the team needs a telepath.
With having the old Xforce Logo, i think a more mix of old team members who were on the team in the past iteration till now. they kind of did that but i think there could be some more members.
Blerd got something wrong. Sage isn't Middle Eastern. While we know little about her origins (unless there's been any recent retcons I'm not aware of) she's from the Balkans, the part of Eastern Europe that includes places like Albania, Bosnia, Serbia, etc., which is quite a distance away from the Middle East. The closest connection I'm aware of that she has to the Middle East is that she found Xavier right after his paralysis while she was working as either and aid worker or mercenary (can't remember which) in Afghanistan... which is also not The Middle East but most people get that confused and make that mistake so it wouldn't surprise me if Blerd did.
Ill be checking out XForce. I like Geoff Thorne as a writer. I like Forge. Dont really know much about the others. Im aware of Betsy and Rachel, but Im about 10 years out of date with whats happening with them.
The thing I hope comes into place with both books with Deadpool in them is that his daughter is a mutant. It is the reason he worked for hydra cap back in the day. He was black mailed into it.

Because that's the newest nickname she chose for herself in Knights of X (the followup miniseries to Excalibur and X of Swords). Kinda makes sense since the elderly version of her was one of the founders of the Askani order and certainly a more personal name than Prestige was.
Rachel has the chronoskimming ability as well as the connection to the Phoenix force. Betsy is the oddity of telepaths because she prefers to channel her telekinesis to create psi constructs as weapons. So Rachel is a time bending telepath and Betsy a tactile telepath.
I'm not gonna lie I'm not feeling this new xmen line on any of the comics they announced, cuz say what you will about the krokoa Era atleast there was a lot of blk and brown Mutants getting their shine and when I look at these titles I see that they going back to the whole lot of white ppl and all the black characters in the background probably gonna be secondary I'm probably just gonna wait for you to explain it and just save my money I like Gail and eve hope they series do well but ehhh I'll wait for storm and wolverines comic in this new age of xmen

Betsy Braddock and Rachel Summer's are a very hard NO. Betsy Braddock became the Focal character of Excalibur once Apocalypse left, she couldn't carry the book. Even after she stole the Captain Britain title from her brother. Face it, he wasn't in his right mind when he gave it up. Deadpool was actually tolerable in X-Force. I'm going to miss his interactions with Omega Red . John Greycrow was a very interesting character in X-Factor, he's a Win if written well. I would have loved to see Sunspot or Northstar in the book. I'll buy issue #1, but this book most likely will be a pass for me. And yes, I realize it's not written for me, but still I'm also the guy that buys the variant covers.

I agree with your recommendations for replacing them with old school X-force members like Shatterstar, Rictor, or Sunspot. They just feel out of place. 2. I disagree with the representation nod. Who cares about representation. Just tell a good story. No need to point out representation as we've never had the need to do so in comics before. As much as I love Betsey 🇬🇧 I agree her & Rachael should probably be in their own series. Psylocke has history with XForce… but that was murder Ninja Betsey. Doctor or Sunspot are great shouts. With the logo going old school, having an original member would be cool

I hate Betsy as "Captain Britain" and not being Psylocke. So much bs! If they are going to make her back to her body, at least bring back some japanese theme for the character, cause that was something very important for her for the last 30 years.
I'm seeing this comment a lot about Betsy. The easy way was leave Betsy be Psylocke after regaining her White body and let Kwannon be a new original character. But Marvel was afraid of losing the POC identity of Psylocke and we ended up with two watered down versions. Betsy not felt as regular Betsy and Kwannon behave as a Betsy clone power and character wise.

Betsy Braddock and Rachel Summer's are a very hard NO.
Betsy Braddock became the Focal character of Excalibur once Apocalypse left, she couldn't carry the book. Even after she stole the Captain Britain title from her brother. Face it, he wasn't in his right mind when he gave it up.
Deadpool was actually tolerable in X-Force. I'm going to miss his interactions with Omega Red .
John Greycrow was a very interesting character in X-Factor, he's a Win if written well.
I would have loved to see Sunspot or Northstar in the book.
I'll buy issue #1, but this book most likely will be a pass for me.
And yes, I realize it's not written for me, but still I'm also the guy that buys the variant covers.
I agree about Betsy and Kwannon, but they split the codenames wrong.
@@ger5565 I think Kwannon being Psylocke is definitely the right thing, taking in consideration that She was literally the famous body and image of the ninja. She took the name Psylocke to new heights. Betsy was the mind. Both are important! We all won. We have 2. And I Really liked Betsy back to her Excalibur roots but she could’ve been a better Captain Britain, if theyve done better stories. the thing is - there are two Wolverines, Captain Americas, Spider-Men… why not two Psylockes? Or Psylocke and Revanche?
Looking forward to this comic. I remember buying the very FIRST X-Force #1 off the newsstand. Two things I want to address:
I agree with you on Askani and Captain Britain being here. I agree with your recommendations for replacing them with old school X-force members like Shatterstar, Rictor, or Sunspot. They just feel out of place.
2. I disagree with the representation nod. Who cares about representation. Just tell a good story. No need to point out representation as we've never had the need to do so in comics before. Comics were always a safe haven for everyone before the mainstream popularity social movements invaded. Just my 2 cents.

As much as I love Betsey 🇬🇧 I agree her & Rachael should probably be in their own series. Psylocke has history with XForce… but that was murder Ninja Betsey.
Doctor or Sunspot are great shouts. With the logo going old school, having an original member would be cool

I hate Betsy as "Captain Britain" and not being Psylocke. So much bs! If they are going to make her back to her body, at least bring back some japanese theme for the character, cause that was something very important for her for the last 30 years.

I'm seeing this comment a lot about Betsy. The easy way was leave Betsy be Psylocke after regaining her White body and let Kwannon be a new original character. But Marvel was afraid of losing the POC identity of Psylocke and we ended up with two watered down versions. Betsy not felt as regular Betsy and Kwannon behave as a Betsy clone power and character wise.
@@j.b.6780 Exactly. The problem is that Betsy was Psylocke, and Kwannon was Kwannon. Marvel was afraid of the controversy of a white woman having her body swaped with a japanese one, and the solution ended making both sides unhappy.
Asian Psylocke is the only Psylocke that matters.

I think they realized that post-Psylocke not enough people are interested in Betsy Braddock yet to carry a series, hence why she's here. She's been X-Force before so I guess she's at home until the next interesting chapter of her and Saturnyne's beef plays out.
