It is looking amazing, and it seems to be designed with kids in mind (kids of rich parents), but at closer review it's missing a few key features that cheaper alternatives offer, the most important of it being a steering dampener (unless it's internal, then it's rad!)
Who ever came up with this idea at Specialized marketing team should get a raise. In just 1 day their name "specialized" has been talked about more than any other bike brand across all forms of social media. My Facebook and Instagram and all my friends msged me regarding this bike. Everyone is talking about this brand. I highly doubt Specialized made this bike to be the no.1 seller in the world. They have achieved what they wanted to set out: Brand awareness at minimal marketing cost. Kudos to Specialized.
This is an great test for carbon how it survives when on kids bike. We all know that kids don´t handle bikes like us adults so who ever buy it to his kid has to check the bike after every ride is there cracks 😂
My initial reaction was anger that someone would spend his much on a balance bike that a kid would outgrow in less than a year. Releasing this now when you see so many people losing jobs due to the pandemic seems very tone deaf. But I guess this is capitalism at its best. Not surprised that the company that dropped the $12k Aethos would offer a matching balance bike for the kids. I’m sure this bike will be sold out in weeks.
The conversation: Honey, Jr. needs a bike. Sure. How about this $200 bike? Didn't you tell me cheap bikes aren't safe? Oh yeah, carbon fiber is much safer. This 1000GBP bike makes more sense. Still cheaper than your bike but looks okay.
