I ran an accupress for 17 years, our company expected many complicated bends with little selection of tooling. We asked and it was "too expensive". So it took us twice as long with numerous tooling changes. DUH!

If there are high surface finish requirements when edge bending/press brake, the Swedish product Tribotextil™ can be applied in the bending/pressing tool and mechanically protect the sheet metal from scratches and other damages. Tribotextil™ is an extremely thin and very strong textile that in this process replaces lubricants in the tool.

Tell me about that hem flattening tool. Is that like a combination die holder and flattening tool? Does it just stay in the machine and you can put any die in it that you want and only activate it when you want to? Does it have a compensator or crowning?
I run an accurpress press brake. I'm trying to get my company to buy a new compensator for my brake. We do a lot of hemming. We brake the hem as far as we can with 30 degree tooling, then switch to a flattening die to finish the hem. Something like this, especially if I can just leave it in the machine full time, would make my life easier.

In most cases, this is retrofitted to the lower beam. The benefit is it only opens when needed and you can still use the Acute V Die for bending regular overbends. Check with Amada SA in France. They could supply such a system.
