Tips to survive as a Counselor: 1) BE ALONE. Better safe than sorry, many troll on the PS4 game. Also, many people don't know how to avoid detection against Jason, because... 2) Don't sprint if you don't need to. Jason can sense you (bubbles) and will catch you easier if you have already used up half of your stamina. And walk on roads or paths to keep quiet. 3) Lower your fear. This is complicated, but important, because many people are still confused on the effects of fear. Always keep your flashlight on, always lock doors, don't move/run on very low stamina, and stay out of forests. Seeing dead bodies also increases fear. Fear allows Jason to see your red body father away than normal. 4) Pocketknives are irreplaceable. NEVER use one on a trap, no matter what, unless you're the very last person. Never replace an PK for any item in the game, if you have 2 Pocketknives to start the game, you're almost guaranteed to win. Also, never give up keys even if you're a shitty driver. 5) Be either the nerdy girl or Gothic chick. If you choose to play lone wolf (recommended), you will need to be doing all of the repairs. This means whenever you find an item, go directly to the car/phone, checking houses along the way. I use the nerdy girl, because her stealth and repair is useful. 6) Always check your maps. Try to keep at least 1/3 of the map between you and your teammates and Jason. Search areas where teammates haven't been and remember if you run into a teammate, get away and focus on repairing. You're basically the hero, while your team is causing a distraction for Jason the whole round. 7) Know how to hop windows trick to waste Jason's time. Watch Brycegames or MiniLadd for help, basically stand by a window and wait until Jason is near you and jump out. He'll either teleport or walk around and that's when you'll jump back in. After this one, you book it (out a different window, he'll expect you'll go through the door). As soon as you leave the house, SNEAK away, don't try to out run Jason, unless it's the early game. 8) Perks don't really add anything to the game, unless their materialistic perks. Like double spray, and auto spawn with items are the only ones with something. 9) Pretty obvious, but stay away from cars/phone/main house/etc. early game. 10) It's just a game, so enjoy it. You're goal is to try to make the game exciting for everyone, so be risky. Travel half the map just to put the gas in, if you find the propellor, find someone and find the gas with them. Don't get the Chad's a Dick achievement. If you feel that you're gonna die, waste Jason's time, so others can make progress. 11) Your job is to be the one who gets all the items and repairs everything, so everyone can escape. Everyone else's job is to be Jason Bait until you're done. I think that's a fair trade. You're doing all this work for at least 1 person to survive.
Also there should be a 12) which is about if they actually call the cops, you would want to go to the main road lodges which at least a counselor may be hiding in also check the houses closest to the exits since the cops may spawn near there.
Some of these tips you give can actually hurt you chances to win as Jason. I'm an extremely competitive player who tryhards and I feel that I've become an above average Jason and these are some of the tips I've learned through playing. 1. Don't trap car doors. It doesn't work, the animation negates the trap. 2. Don't pursue players without shift. You wasting time that could be used to set traps 3. Learn how to cut losses. Don't follow a player for to long, accept defeat and make sure people don't repair objectives. 4. If you find a group, go for stealth players or players with high repair first. Low repair players rely on high repair characters because they'll almost always miss at least one skill check giving away position. 5. LISTEN and learn sound effects. Knowing what sound means what can make it a 8/8 game for you or a 4 or less/8 game for you. 6. Break generators in down time. Normally I can have every objective trapped and 1-2 gens down by the time I have shift, if know one is around morph to a generator kill it and search. 7. Learn how to shift grab. Knowing how to do this will make you 1000x better. To practice invite a friend to a private and have Jason practice shift grabbing, and the counselor practice dodging shift grabs. 8. Use others mics to your advantage. If you see someone talking in the top corner, that means there are close. 9. Use your Mic to your advantage. Make a fake deal with a player, tell him to lead you to a teammate for his life and once you gain his trust kill his ass cause fuck snitches. 10. Know how to use abilities. Using shift to move amongst the map can fuck you over in the long run, use morph to transport yourself, and shift to close gaps between you and a counselor. 11. Use sense multiple times in same spot. Pretty much use your sense, do a 360 look around and then shut it off and do if again. Low profile and other perks could end up making you miss a kill. 12. If cops are called, don't sit where there at. All it takes is some kind of stun whether a firecracker or shotty to get past easily, and standing in one spot gives them plenty of time to get what they need. 13. If cops are called check exits frequently. If someone sesz the cops are called, chances are their not gonna keep repairing a vehicle but rather wait around for cops. 14. Use your block ability for flare guns. Flare guns are second best weapon in game so making someone waste one not only stops a stun, but makes them a fairly easy kill cause you can close the gap while still blocking. 15. Don't use fancy grab kills. Using the head punch or generic choke are your best options because they can be done almost anywhere and their very quick. Also most resource kills are extremely quick. No point in spending an extra 8 seconds killing someone and letting others flee.
A tip to use is trap your house as Jason after you grab the knives then go to the phone Players like Tiffany and Vanessa have good run and can quickly get in and get to the nearest house in 10 seconds when you place the trap and they get stuck in it you get more time to react and if your mask is knocked off you don't get notified if someone goes into your cabin, but the trap also doubles as a second notification if they get stuck. Hope that helped you to be more experienced with Jason.
One super important tip to mention is to trap the entrance to Jason's cabin before morphing to the phone at the start of the game. People who try to take Pamela's sweater are usually in a hurry and won't look for a trap so that's an easy kill, also obviously to make sure you actually don't die to Tommy later on because that would suck
no, we want a fair start not to die in 30 seconds and wait for 19 minutes and 30 seconds and then POSSIBLY come back as tommy just for jason to spawn kill you again that is why i don't spawn kill
@@gangstaspongebob3622 in theory yeah but people are not that dumb and will just look at u from afar wasting ur preicous time. (Ok sometimes they are that stupid tbh but I wouldnt have this problem if everyone was that dumb)
The reason I use the boat so much and everyone else should is because it’s less rare. And if you mess up filling it with gasoline, Jason’ll most likely teleport to the car since the car is more common than the boat. Of course if you fail the propeller, Jason’ll know someone’s at the boat. But still. *Pros:* -Less rare. -Requires only two items to repair it. -If you fail to fill it with gas, Jason’ll think someone’s trying to repair the car. *Cons:* -Failing the propeller makes a noise that only the boat makes, telling Jason someone’s at the boat. -Most of the time, pretty easy for Jason to get you if he can morph in time or get into the water in time. Oh, and never use the boat when part 7 or part 8 Jason is the match. They both had increased water speed. Use the boat when the Jason playing is either part 2 Jason or risk it and use the boat when the Jason has regular swim speed.
well I figured I'd leave a few tips of my own anyway you're right about the phone box haha Personally I play as part 8 but I used to be Part 2 jason mainly for the traps and running but anyway tips from me 1: Phone box first it's definitely where you want to go After grabbing the two knives first place at least two traps i'd say is the min i place. 2: Head to the cars preferably the four door first trap the battery and gas then go to 2 seater as part 8 i'd have at least 1 trap left so place it on the battery . 3: okay now you hunt, whatever your play style go for it make sure you pick up knives and for a jason who can't run i tend to shift a bit to catch up to someone who's running i need to work on my shift cause despite being a lvl101 all the time i was playing I was playing mostly survivor. 4: pay attention to the sounds very likely people mess up on either battery or get trapped in one of your traps now as a survivor you can disarm traps with a pocket knife if you're lucky jason won't come over but he can still hear the trap being disarmed. so be careful. 5: Chose your perks wisely, for me I used to play as AJ but moved to debhrah but sometimes I switch things up. for people with low repair skills I recommend the tinker perk it makes those mini games easier, and thick skinned is also a good one to have you can take more damage without having to worry to much about limping so much but remember to not over do it and have a med spray ready. medic perk is a must you can heal yourself twice oh and i'm not sure about this but if you drop your spray and give it to someone who doesn't have a medic perk they get two uses instead of the one, but if someone who doesn't have the medic perk gives you a spray you can only use it the one time. I know another tip is barricade the doors first then search through the draws this slows jason down a bit if he comes for you first,oh and make sure to at least grab a weapon as your searching. so choose the perks that best fit your characters stats for AJ I have Restful,My dads a cop and thick skinned. Restful allows my stamina to recharge faster, My dads a cop perk makes it so the police arrive quicker and Thick skinned I already explained. If your going for stealth and decent repair then aj is your girl. I once fixed the boat and escaped alone as aj and idk why jason didn't come after me or maybe just didn't hear or see me probably was too busy chasing someone to notice or even look at the map at that point. - okay break windows whenever you can this is so survivors take a little damage while going through them. use combat stance to break down doors quicker. it's effective for the most part as a survivor you see those bear traps you can pick up well use them place them at the door before you move onto another house and don't leave them lying around for others to step into that's no fun. plus survivors should watch where they are going but running from jason well you can't exactly look plus the screen is dark cause of fear so. how exactly you going to avoid that trap. Smash the electricity boxes as jason give those survivors a scare. also I never turn on my flashlight I see no need when jason is around me because that thing is like a beacon saying i'm over here. turn that shit off if your hiding or sneaking around. Walkie talkies are important to communicate with fellow survivors just be sure jason aint around to hear you talking to your team mate but if you are dying and have something of value be sure to tell them where you are before you die. so they can loot your corpse for the fuse or even car keys. but another tip is just to leave the car keys by the car preferably somewhere near and not in plain sight in case some idiot player picks them up and runs off with them the keys where by the car for a reason. if your player character has low repair and you found a car part drop it by the car for someone who has either higher repair or a tinker perk for them to put it in. unless you're good at the mini game with that character chances are jason is going to be on you if you attempt putting in that battery only to mess up several times. and that's it from me if anyone would like to add anything i missed such as bats being a good weapon to stun jason especially if you have a perk to enhance stun time like heavy hitter or slugger. thrasher is one for the axe but i can never seem to find those flare guns and fire crackers are useful too. so if you know how to play your cards right you can avoid jason for a long time. and sorry for the long ass ramble here. pretty sure another comment has at least some more helpful tips to use as well.
I main AJ, and you want perks that go with her skills, just like all other counselors. I reccomend home body, grease monkey, and thick skinned just in case
For people who play Kenny, use perks that give him items because he is so well rounded. Hypochondriac, physical, and thick skinned once again just in case. All the perks you pick depend on your survivor
TIPS AND TRICKS 1: Use materials wisely. 2: Get into groups to gang up on Jason and make him vulnerable to death by Tommy. 3: Stay away from groups near cars, main house, or phone houses. 4: Exploit glitches if you have to. 5: Make sure if you are looking to call Tommy, that the house has a red and white truss antenna on it. 6: Only use flare guns and shotguns at far distances, they only have one shot. 7: Leaves on the ground are bear traps. 8: Run from Jason unless you have a lot of armed counselors in a house.
I always am just playing as tommy cause i die so quick cause im bad but then as im playing as tommy i get ran over by a car no one even alerts me or tells me they just hit me then whenever i dont and i actually nearly kill Jason somebody just betrays me and shoots me with a shotgun or kills me with a bear trap
"Dont be a track star if you're not a track star. Dont be a repair person if you're a dumb woman." 😂😂😂😂 (2019 looking for answers because it was free with Gold)
@@lexnour5916 Good point good point. BUT! What if your a distraction while others are calling the cops or something! Your probally gonna die or if so,come back as Tommy.
"Dont be a repair person if your a dumb woman" *chuckles* 😂 good to see some people still have a good sense of humor and aren't afraid of those who are constantly offended. Great tips and tricks video man, keep it up.
Level 101 with an average of 8/8 kills per game here, for all the Jasons except Part IV and Part VII Trap the phonebox quite good and try camping the areas around the car and boat. For Part IV and VII do the opposite, trap the car (not the driver seat) and try camping the phonebox. Don't use quick kills, don't spawn kill, that's for noobs. As a counselor, when Jason shifts don't run away from him, run towards his direction (Jason players aren't used to short shifts and are trained to guess where you're running to when you're running away). As a counselor, place traps outside the house doors (Jason is going to be obligated to get trapped to break the doors), if you put them inside Jason can shift over them or just walk aside them.
If a counselor jumps through a window use a knife to hurt them as soon as they get up. When shifting you will need to get ahead of the counselor tu cut his way and grab them, never try to shift and grab from behind. Use your stalk before morphing or shifting. A pro player doesn't slash kill counselors unless there are more than three fighting against you at the same time. Use perks to upgrade your stamina and stamina regeneration as a counselor (you can make Lachappa run like Tommy Jarvis with two epic stamina perks, one for extra stamina and one for quick stamina regeneration).
Not really. The "Don't use quick kills," and "A pro player doesn't slash kill.." is bullshit. This is his way of making you feel like you shouldn't use what you have so you don't cut him down when he's a counselor. You use whatever you have at your disposal to murder them. Your also there to have fun so use all your throwing knives and traps. Play that favorite kill. Enjoy it and kill them all.
Codex77 I agree man, especially for part 4. Sometimes the counselor leave you no choice but to slash and do quick kills. If you’re playing against advanced counselors then you need those. It’s easy to get 8/8 when you’re playing against average counselors.
Yegor Shalamai that's called someone who's trying to win the game. Like I was honestly so confused when he said it was "frowned upon". So the councelors don't like it when you... Try to win? Its not a glitch, its not a cheat. The creators of the game gave it the guy playing him, and people get that upset over it? I mean I know it might be frustrating, but to think he shouldn't be allowed to do that is ludacris.
Agreed. How dare you use that ax your carrying to cut me! That's some weak ass shit right there. I can't wait to hear people crying over this in game! lol
i use part 5 jason , he can run, lots of knives , and traps. also his shift is pretty long and accurate . Then look at the map and morph to where the power will be that powers the cb to call tommy, knock it out then trap it...then trap the fuse house. seems like tommy is called right away as counselors are spawned near the CB house
Good video; disagree with one point. Don't stay after one counselor for too long. If you stay on any counselor for more than a minute, they are often either a) used as a decoy so others can do things--especially if fast character, and b) a really fast character that Jason can easily come back for later, while it's easier/better to kill the faster repair/slower movement characters first.
Here's a tip: If you're a fighter, have the Slugger and Hard Hitter perks. The character I geared towards foghting has it, as well as a perk that increases stun times. Both Slugger and Hard Hitter are epic for me, and I am trying to get an epic version of the last. Once you do this, if you hit Jason, he might as well never get up. I have used it to get away with the car more than once. With this, I'm always able to get Jason down.
I like it when Jason's only swing because I only play bugzy and I just stun him over and over again. Btw when Jason swings just go in combat stands and dodge with LT L2 or whatever the key is for PC
Good tip for playing as Jason; go for all of the female counselors first. As soon as Tommy spawns into the game, deviate and go for him. They can't kill you if Tommy's dead and/or all of the female characters are dead. If I run up on an Adam and a Deborah, for example, and they break apart to try and escape, I chase down Deborah.
hey! very good tips and tricks! The only big problem is you entirely LEAVED out of perspective the COMPOSURE system! I mean: it's okay what you said, to stay away from groups many times, but if a counselor remains alone for too long, they start to feel fear a lot, and that alerts Jason! If you remain in a group, you don't fear as much so Jason has a harder time finding you. The flashlight makes composure less, so that would have been a big help if you'd also talk about these mechanics. Maybe refer me to a video or make a new one about these! :D thank you! great job btw!!
AaronPulse What do you mean “Jason has a harder time finding you”? You are in a group, by a car, in the middle of the road, with Jason able to see you and hear you. Sure, you get scared, but you’ll be able to evade Jason as you can escape alone.
Ricky Rogers the more scared you are the farther away he can see you with sense.... you could be across the map by yourself as chad and get seen but then be okay as a group that’s somewhat far from Jason
Yeah you are right, in that cause it's true. But when you are alone in the woods and you don't use flashlight and/or you are not with a group, Jason will surely hear you, and most of the time kill you. But if you use the light and with people, you don't get scared, so Jason can't hear you. When you are in a house alone and you get scared over time, the same thing happens. Thus, if Jason uses his Sense skill near you, he can see that you are in the house. The only workaround for that is if you hide under the bed or in the cabinet, and you hold your breath. Yeah, sometimes it sucks! ;)
Another thing to think about is that again what he said at the start of the spiel on counselors... it’s harder because you have to feel out the situation. You gotta see what happens and plan accordingly.. I’d say yes be alone.. but not too far because if Jason catches you alone and you’re too far away then you won’t have a counselor to bate him to... U wanna distance yourself but be on the same street for stamina catch-up if crap goes down
As Jason, I always go to the main area that the map is based around first. There are always people there. If you get lucky, you can kill a bunch of people right away. I've gotten an upwards of four kills. After that, you continue the schedule, periodically checking the main building.
I love to play this game with friends, highly recommend it. So many people are selfish and u just really need to have someone to rely on, even if they are Jason. Best moment of my life when I played the game was me and my friend were fixing the boat until goth chic came to us. What did she do u may ask? My friend finished the gasoline and goth chic body blocked me from getting in so I told my friend who was playing Jason to KILL her. Moral of the story, don’t be a jerk and steal people’s vehicles cause their friend might be killer.
I’m lv 27 now and I can attest to these tips. Just know that death can be inevitable, but that’s okay because Jason is op. I prefer AJ (goth chick), but deb is a great pic too (the one with glasses). When Tommy arrives, his stats compliment those two girls as his stealth is also 10 even when jogging (his repair and composure great too). It’s not bad if you are around him, but let him be the distraction as he starts with a pocket knife and a gun (health spray too). As Jason strafe left and right to avoid Tommys gunshot. Also if it is too risky grabbing him then just throw knives and hit him till he dies. Tommy should not be the objective to kill unless if he’s the last alive. Kill the other counselors first as their stats do not compare to Tommys and you’ll have an easier time killing them. A lone Tommy is likely to be a dead one so try to kill everyone else first. Taking out AJ and Deb first will make the counselors ticket to leave so much harder. I remember picking a black guy and his repair was so bad that i took a few minutes to get the boat fixed. Plus every step i took could be heard easily by Jason. You leave people like him last with the vehicles not set up and its game set. Which is why every lobby should have a bit of variety imo. Have some characters to distract Jason and others to prep vehicles.
One tip I have for counselors is that you can deactivate traps that Jason sets. You must crouch while having a pocket knife. Approach the traps and then you should have a prompt to deactivate. Not many ppl are aware of this but it can be a game changer.
My tips As jason:when your jason hit the counselors till the point where they can't run and then grab. Counselors:When you have a weapon most people just hit and don't use combat mode well what I do is that when jason is chasing me I jog and wait till he's kinda close to me then I quickly click combat mode and swing at him. When jason is breaking down a door I will hit him with a bat or an axe (works best with long weapons) Best place with loot:the best place to loot in my opinion are the campfires because the campfires mostly have pocket knives and shotguns and sometimes spray. Hope these work good luck ☺
I got a good tip : use glitches to your advantage, this is only for counselors, my fav : roof glitch to do this find a house and place a trap in the doorway BAM your on the roof.
Why would it be unfair to use all of your abilities to your advantage? Of course you hit councilors as Jason, thats like a standard thing to do; soften them up for the kill. The game developers wouldn't have put it in the game if they only wanted Jasons to go around grabbing people.
actually, its good to grab every single time because people have stuff like pocket knives that they can use to disarm traps and if you grab them it will automatically use the pocket knife and if you grab counselors then other counselors will hit you and if they hit you there is a high chance of them breaking their weapon so if you grab you are making the counselors waste their resources, and another fun little thing to note is that the more you get stunned the more your rage meter charges up so if you grab then they will for sure hit you to save the counselor and then that will just make you stronger by filling up your rage meter. so grabbing makes them waste resources and makes your rage go up faster, and also the fact that once you enter rage your unstunnable just makes it even better to just grab counselors
Some tips you missed: always put traps by the doors as a counselor because you might end up in the same house and then you get some time. Always keep your space from Jason, and KEEP YOUR STAMINA DO NOT LET IT GET LOWER THAN HALF BAR I’m a level 150 take my word
Number one tip to be a good J... Don't kill anyone the first minute of the game. Trap, trap, trap... Hit the phone place more than one. The car place one at door on both. If it's a boat save a trap. After that go for power. If power is near phone hit it then, but don't go out of your way till traps are done. (You can try to be a pro and cut Tommy power first but if you don't spend a trap someone gonna fix it for sure) after all is trapped and lights are out... It's time for blood. Tunnel and kill.
One tip you FORGOT, is as JASON, when a counselor jumps in a window, stand in front of window and get your throwing knife ready and as soon as the counselor gets up, throw your knife at them! This has helped me a lot!
my very first game i played i was jason and i did horrible everyone was trolling me..I'm now level 15 and still suck I love the game and cant wait to learn how to play right...ty for making video learned alot
This You-tuber sounds like a job manger honestly he doesn’t try to talk professionally by making his voice a higher pitch.. it felt like an older brother being very straight forward with me and telling me secrets about life.. my perspective is weird and I like it
@Desolate most players nowadays just play for shots and giggles, which is perfect. Still tryhard with Jason sometimes, but they don't care. And knives are amazing
No point perking your low stats. Buff your strong stats and amend your approach to mitigate your weaknesses. No point in trying to turn La Chappa into a runner and by the same token you're not going to perk Vanessa into an effective mechanic. The exception is (arguably) Kenny who can be tweaked any direction but even with 3 epics on him he'll still be a bit meh.
Did I say use a perk to upgrade "an already 10"? No, I believe I said perking strong abilities will produce a better result than perking a rubbish one. But thanks for the input, genius.
look.. i understand that to some people. 60-70 hours is a lot of game time. but its really not.. and if your boasting about it it makes you look really naive. for most good games you need probably 300+ hours to really say you understand how the game works. i say most games because games like TF2, dead by daylight, and CS:GO fall way out of this threshhold and are significantly higher. tf2's being the highest at i would say 1200 hours before your considered good at the game. f13 id say probably 150-200 hours before you really understand the game mechanics. because theres not a lot to learn and the skill ceilings are pretty low, (except for jason's shift ability, that takes some practice). i know im probably just some stupid idiot on the internet. but thats kind of what the internet is. just a bunch of idiots giving their clearly wrong opinons on how things are. ive never seen your videos before so im not going to judge and im trying not to be a dick. just had something to say
150-200 hours isn’t a lot of play time. There were things I was still learning even a year after launch. I would disagree about the low skill ceiling. Especially with counsellors. They really are op if you know what you are doing.
Spamming swing is important as Jason, a lot of people will always try to grab but after a player takes a certain amount of damage they die instantly. Grabbing is bad because they can pocket knife, break free, and get saved by other people.
"Im really good at the game you know i have 60-70 hours and im lvl 29 and i moved with the good players group" lmaoooo i remember when everyone thought lvl 30 was a big deal and they were so good lol
i have played this game for 2 yrs now my strategy as jason The Jasons u need to map control things is -Jason part 3 for weapon dmg output, decent shift, decent amount of traps, joggers are slighty faster then walking Jasons -Jason part 6, or 9 for fastest shiftning and sense later in the game when u are in rage u can constantly shift them around the map break windows and doors Jason part 4 is good in the beginning of the game he breaks doors and do weapon dmg but terrible shifter so when u are in rage u burst trough doors anyway when i start i ever go to try to find Tommy Jarvis radio house on first morph, becouse they wll not have time to find fuse and install and call police before u have second morph ready anyway, if u lucky u find or see this radio house if not put 2 bear traps with fuse house and at least 1 trap at blue car, if hood is open put it there other ways put it with door to car, they may have fixed gasoline allready
tro to learn the techniques with shifting to get before them or side by side, not only shift grab, do shift slash if u are a Jason with weapon dmg out u must take advantage of this ability... like this! shift make a slash defend youre self if they have weapon, they may try to hit you, if they fall for this you can counter attack them now they are crippled one more slash and they dead dead dead
I'm a level 43, just started playing the game. I got a tip, when a counselor is going for a window, try and throw a knife at them or the window, they will get injured either way.
@@billyboop1111 i think a general rule of guides and tutorials is to help the listener and not assume they know as much as you do. wether its a beginner guide or not does not change my statement
If you are a op Jason the only thing you need to worry about is the phone. The cars are very easy to stop as well as the boat. Also the cops alway appear opposite from the phone. If the phone is on the far left then cops appear on the right and if the phone is on the right cops appear on the left side of the map. The main things to start on is the phone. And then disable the generators to get their fear going so u can use the sense and to stop tommy Jarvis from being called. But everyone plays differently so get out there and kill those counselors lol
randy mullins the phone thing is not true I called on the right they came on the right I called on the left they came on the left it's random but most of the time it will be the right
Luis Roman that's how it works when I'm in a game but it is random most of the time. Lol I'm still trying to find the Pamela tapes have you found any yet. I haven't been able to find any yet.
Be vanessa and run perks to take more damage and heal more. That bitch is OP as fuck. Just jog everywhere. Use the sweater as a last resort for stamina gain
Tips to survive as a Counselor:
1) BE ALONE.

Idk about the 8th one I have a Homebody (16%) on my Tiffany and Jason doesn't find me as often which is really helpful when the police are called.
Also there should be a 12) which is about if they actually call the cops, you would want to go to the main road lodges which at least a counselor may be hiding in also check the houses closest to the exits since the cops may spawn near there.
Those are shitty tips sir
I have a rare "my dads a cop" and if I call them, they show up in a little under 3.5 minutes.

How did you know?
Some of these tips you give can actually hurt you chances to win as Jason. I'm an extremely competitive player who tryhards and I feel that I've become an above average Jason and these are some of the tips I've learned through playing.
1. Don't trap car doors. It doesn't work, the animation negates the trap.
2. Don't pursue players without shift. You wasting time that could be used to set traps

A tip to use is trap your house as Jason after you grab the knives then go to the phone
Players like Tiffany and Vanessa have good run and can quickly get in and get to the nearest house in 10 seconds when you place the trap and they get stuck in it you get more time to react and if your mask is knocked off you don't get notified if someone goes into your cabin, but the trap also doubles as a second notification if they get stuck.

The reason I use the boat so much and everyone else should is because it’s less rare. And if you mess up filling it with gasoline, Jason’ll most likely teleport to the car since the car is more common than the boat. Of course if you fail the propeller, Jason’ll know someone’s at the boat. But still.
*Pros:*
-Less rare.
-Requires only two items to repair it.
-If you fail to fill it with gas, Jason’ll think someone’s trying to repair the car.
*Cons:*
-Failing the propeller makes a noise that only the boat makes, telling Jason someone’s at the boat.
That's why I always use the boat perks
I always go for the boat because it's the easiest thing in the game and everyone else is looking for parts for the cars
If less people use it wouldn't that make it more rare?
well I figured I'd leave a few tips of my own anyway you're right about the phone box haha Personally I play as part 8 but I used to be Part 2 jason mainly for the traps and running but anyway tips from me
1: Phone box first it's definitely where you want to go After grabbing the two knives first place at least two traps i'd say is the min i place.
-
okay break windows whenever you can this is so survivors take a little damage while going through them.
use combat stance to break down doors quicker. it's effective for the most part
as a survivor you see those bear traps you can pick up well use them place them at the door before you move onto another house and don't leave them lying around for others to step into that's no fun. plus survivors should watch where they are going but running from jason well you can't exactly look plus the screen is dark cause of fear so. how exactly you going to avoid that trap.
It’s 2021, I don’t know how to communicate with other counsellors?! Is this not done anymore??
TIPS AND TRICKS
1: Use materials wisely.
Don't use guns at a far distance. Use them at close to medium
I use them as a last resort if your out of stamina and when there no houses or out healing items to jump in broken windows

Use perks to upgrade your stamina and stamina regeneration as a counselor (you can make Lachappa run like Tommy Jarvis with two epic stamina perks, one for extra stamina and one for quick stamina regeneration).
good advice
Trap outside door is your best tip
Codex77 I agree man, especially for part 4. Sometimes the counselor leave you no choice but to slash and do quick kills. If you’re playing against advanced counselors then you need those. It’s easy to get 8/8 when you’re playing against average counselors.

I never knew of using the combat stance to attack the door faster. Thanks!
i use part 5 jason , he can run, lots of knives , and traps. also his shift is pretty long and accurate .

Here we are a year later where all level 150 Chads bully Jason and make him rage quit.
I stopped playing for a while I'm level 61
Just started back
Lvl 150 Vanessas are the worst.
These are the most outlandish tips and tricks I've ever seen
13:36 lmao "don't be a repair person if you're a dumb woman"
I know this but i don't I am a consle troller who plays Kenny and Vanessa so I need them [If I even get them]
Podcast now: Play by your stats.
Me: Is Kenny a joke to you?
With Kenny YOU get to choose how you want to play him.
With Kenny you should run item perks
My tips
As jason:when your jason hit the counselors till the point where they can't run and then grab.
Counselors:When you have a weapon most people just hit and don't use combat mode well what I do is that when jason is chasing me I jog and wait till he's kinda close to me then I quickly click combat mode and swing at him.
When jason is breaking down a door I will hit him with a bat or an axe (works best with long weapons)
Best place with loot:the best place to loot in my opinion are the campfires because the campfires mostly have pocket knives and shotguns and sometimes spray.
Hope these work good luck ☺

Good video...the very first time I ever played, I was Jason and killed 6 out of 7 counselors thanks to this!
Respect wamen!
Exactly. Now, I do get mad when a Jason gets me in a lock, but still, id do the same thing
actually, its good to grab every single time because people have stuff like pocket knives that they can use to disarm traps and if you grab them it will automatically use the pocket knife and if you grab counselors then other counselors will hit you and if they hit you there is a high chance of them breaking their weapon so if you grab you are making the counselors waste their resources, and another fun little thing to note is that the more you get stunned the more your rage meter charges up so if you grab then they will for sure hit you to save the counselor and then that will just make you stronger by filling up your rage meter. so grabbing makes them waste resources and makes your rage go up faster, and also the fact that once you enter rage your unstunnable just makes it even better to just grab counselors
Some tips you missed: always put traps by the doors as a counselor because you might end up in the same house and then you get some time.
Always keep your space from Jason, and KEEP YOUR STAMINA DO NOT LET IT GET LOWER THAN HALF BAR
I’m a level 150 take my word
Number one tip to be a good J... Don't kill anyone the first minute of the game. Trap, trap, trap... Hit the phone place more than one. The car place one at door on both. If it's a boat save a trap. After that go for power. If power is near phone hit it then, but don't go out of your way till traps are done. (You can try to be a pro and cut Tommy power first but if you don't spend a trap someone gonna fix it for sure) after all is trapped and lights are out... It's time for blood. Tunnel and kill.
For a while my L2 button was broken so I'm quite familiar with the term, "slasher"
One tip you FORGOT, is as JASON, when a counselor jumps in a window, stand in front of window and get your throwing knife ready and as soon as the counselor gets up, throw your knife at them! This has helped me a lot!

This You-tuber sounds like a job manger honestly he doesn’t try to talk professionally by making his voice a higher pitch.. it felt like an older brother being very straight forward with me and telling me secrets about life.. my perspective is weird and I like it
This arent EXPERT TIPS. This are Tips for Dummis. Pick up Knifes and Throw them xD Good EXPERT TIp
@Desolate most players nowadays just play for shots and giggles, which is perfect. Still tryhard with Jason sometimes, but they don't care. And knives are amazing
How do you go up levels?? I am online but I choose offline play. I still get cp but I don’t go up levels, what am I doing wrong??
lol probably cause ur playing offline…
No point perking your low stats. Buff your strong stats and amend your approach to mitigate your weaknesses. No point in trying to turn La Chappa into a runner and by the same token you're not going to perk Vanessa into an effective mechanic. The exception is (arguably) Kenny who can be tweaked any direction but even with 3 epics on him he'll still be a bit meh.
oneinthemouth thats ridiculous. You cant use a perk to upgrade an already 10.
Did I say use a perk to upgrade "an already 10"? No, I believe I said perking strong abilities will produce a better result than perking a rubbish one. But thanks for the input, genius.
Not the 1-2 points, but 3-6 maybe. Stamina and marathon are an example
For Kenny you should use item perks. Very nice
“Don’t me a repair man if your a dumb women” I straight up died
Don't have game but still look at tips and tricks though hashtag post notification Squad
Lordmark 724 well at least you will be ready when you get it
Lordmark 724 it's because you're not old enough
Thats what got me to buy the game on psn. Hopefully ill meet some friends to boost the game
All those tricks helped me become A MASTER(well not really) AT FT13 thx a lot ^^, i think the comments that dont like this video are pro
look.. i understand that to some people.
- Lalaoz - not really I learned f13 in about an hour and a half
*YOU OFFENDED ME*
150-200 hours isn’t a lot of play time. There were things I was still learning even a year after launch.
I would disagree about the low skill ceiling. Especially with counsellors. They really are op if you know what you are doing.
Smh I have 1300+ hours on sims 4 I'm a professional
@@sayaradke9664 *OH SHIT* RUN BOY RUUN
Spamming swing is important as Jason, a lot of people will always try to grab but after a player takes a certain amount of damage they die instantly. Grabbing is bad because they can pocket knife, break free, and get saved by other people.
17:04 lier he’s always following me 😭
Great job on the video, very helpful
Thank you!!!
"Im really good at the game you know i have 60-70 hours and im lvl 29 and i moved with the good players group" lmaoooo i remember when everyone thought lvl 30 was a big deal and they were so good lol

Yeah I just started yesterday lol
This game needs to be in vr, as its very realistic with the stats and stuff, it would take it to a whole new level
Jeez 2019 time flyies
Crazy isn't it? I still remember making all the Friday the 13th content and I'm super happy people still watch it and still care about this game!
Who's watching this in 2019 and being disappointed as shit in these tips

i have played this game for 2 yrs now
my strategy as jason
The Jasons u need to map control things is
-Jason part 3 for weapon dmg output, decent shift, decent amount of traps, joggers are slighty faster then walking Jasons
-Jason part 6, or 9 for fastest shiftning and sense later in the game when u are in rage u can constantly shift them around the map break windows and doors
Jason part 4 is good in the beginning of the game he breaks doors and do weapon dmg but terrible shifter so when u are in rage u burst trough doors anyway
when i start i ever go to try to find Tommy Jarvis radio house on first morph, becouse they wll not have time to find fuse and install and call police before u have second morph ready anyway, if u lucky u find or see this radio house if not put 2 bear traps with fuse house and at least 1 trap at blue car, if hood is open put it there other ways put it with door to car, they may have fixed gasoline allready
tro to learn the techniques with shifting to get before them or side by side, not only shift grab, do shift slash if u are a Jason with weapon dmg out u must take advantage of this ability... like this! shift make a slash defend youre self if they have weapon, they may try to hit you, if they fall for this you can counter attack them now they are crippled one more slash and they dead dead dead
who else is watching this just cuz of xbox having it for free? lol
How do i spray someone with a med spray on a xbox one?
Sh00k_Qween hit X on them while they’re nearby. Just make sure they’re still and you’re looking at them
Who watching in 2019
I'm a level 43, just started playing the game.
I got a tip, when a counselor is going for a window, try and throw a knife at them or the window, they will get injured either way.
Aim for the counselor cause of stun. Knives are a huge asset if you can aim well
And always go for quick knives throws
@@tombtrader234 thx bro👍
@@kirin6074 I'm level 69 and just play on switch. Just try to have fun, and as Jason make the counselors scream their hearts out
can we get an “obviously” count
this is a beginners guide stop saying that lol
Does the title say “beginners” guide? No. Go watch one of those if that’s what you need.
@@billyboop1111 i think a general rule of guides and tutorials is to help the listener and not assume they know as much as you do. wether its a beginner guide or not does not change my statement
It is a beginners guide. Every player above level 50 knows most of these
Tasty Chieps Bro it literally says “expert” tips and tricks lmao
@@billyboop1111 yeah that means tips from an expert 😳🍔
Im usually the dumb blonde chick who runs up the stairs of a house n gets trapped...instead of out the window when Jason comes in the front door. XD
I haven't been able to find any yet.
randy mullins none they are so rare
Thanks so much for helping, I’m level 98 and i didn’t know these tricks 😂.
I'm lvl 29 too 😂
Nice 🤙🏾 I am gonna use this knowledge
there's 4 different play styles of counsellors repair, stun, runner, or stealth. know your role.
StonerHesperia most stealths are repair too
Wizzy Lizzy not Tiffany
oh yeah i know my role alright. repair and a runner you already know
I combine runner and stun to be a “staller” even with characters like Jenny because who needs stamina when I get it back after stunning Jason lmao
I play Kenny. I'm just ok at everything.
Great video, very informative and I'll be adjusting some of my gameplay based on your tips. Thanks.
It’s June 1st 2019 this isn’t helpful Any more
Be vanessa and run perks to take more damage and heal more. That bitch is OP as fuck. Just jog everywhere. Use the sweater as a last resort for stamina gain
its still super helpful. Most of the gameplay hasn't changed lol
