Simon, thank you so much, I really needed to hear this, my Mum died earlier this week she was a brilliant, loving caring Mum and it has knocked me back in a big way going back down past trauma wormholes and your words of wisdom has a put a smile on my face and a sense of peace so thank you, so much
I’m listening and thinking “well, yes, I am suffering “. Then I really pay attention to what’s happening right now I realize I’m happy and feeling love for my dog as I play with him and listen to you. So simple. I really wasn’t suffering at all thank you.
I don't spend much time on You Tube (less than one hour a week, I reckon)... came across your channel recently, love your content! Very calming, reassuring, inspiring and deep. Also love your accent, you sound like one of the Beatles!! (are you from Liverpool? Certainly from Northen England, I guess). Bless you. Cheers from Italy.
Ah Francesco Grazie mille. You have a good ear, im from Lancashire so the north west of England, just round the corner from Liverpool. Thanks for your lovely comment and support, im glad these expressions resonate with you. go easy.
Yess Simon its so true.. all there is is now.. and all these thoughts coming along for the ride:)) but you know I always think with this “ stuff” it is easy to practice this but when I think of people in war zones like being held hostage in Gaza For example.. how is it possible to “ be in the now” or is the worse possible scenario the most likely one to “ wake up” ?
Hey joya, nice to hear from you. I guess we cannot know the situation for others, and the movement in the mind imagining that situation is often what keeps us from fully opening to this moment. Having compassion for those suffering is felt in the heart now. We can only tend to what's in our lives directly, that is the calling of the awakening heart mind, to tend to our truth here. ❤
I’ve experienced many moments of “end of suffering now” but the feeling of suffering comes back so fast and sneaky. Do I continually redirect my attention and remind myself “end of suffering is now”? Because I’m exhausted trying to stop the “feeling of suffering.” Can I let the “feeling of suffering” just be without trying to do anything? Is it possible to being addicted to suffering?
Hi Yuri, yes you can let the suffering be and as I mention in the video bring attention to the moment and ask yourself what do I need right now? How can I listen to this moment more deeply? Invite present open hearted allowing to be here with whatever difficulty is being felt and recognise that you are not the difficulty but the presence and open hearted allowing moment ❤
Hi Yuri. I want to add that if you move your attention into the sensation in your body where the suffering seems to be and feel it deeply, and hold it like a child and tell it it's okay to be here, It may calm down.
What a beautiful video! Thank you so much!
Beautiful ❤️ thank you
