Welcome back to the library! In this tale we take a look at one of Azeroth's forgotten races, the Tol'vir! As we approach 20,000 subscribers I just wanted to give everyone who has supported the library a big thank you, these tales wouldnt be possible without you! Adding more and more to each tale so let me know any feedback down below - it is greatly appreciated! Plenty more WoW lore coming up, what would you like to see next? 📚📖
Amazing video, KarazhanLibrary! The Tol'vir were among my fav races! I had a question, would you perhaps consider doing a lore video on the Sethrak? They've been such a neglected/forgotten race since BFA. They had so much potential. Their storyline just abruptly ends, too, with no real sense of resolution :c
Great video! I'd love to see you look into the ancient empire known as Azj'Aqir. There are some interesting relics like the Scepter of Azj'Aqir. "The Tol'vir sorcerer Azj'Aqir was said to possess a scepter that would allow him to control a Qiraj battle tank outside of its Silithus home." The wiki entry suggests that this description is erroneous, but what if it isn't? Pretty wild implications for the ancient empires of the world. There is also the Legacy of Azj'aqir Warlock gear from the Tomb of Sargeras raid, which I think you might find the appearance of quite interesting.
This is the type of content I love listening to when I want to feel all comfortable after a long day/week and just play some simple wow stuff while stuffing myself with snacks as I would have when I was 12 :D thank you for your effort!
Thanks for this lore dive! The Tol'vir and Anubisaths are some of my favourite races and my favourite titan-forged races. Very happy to have a summary to their lore!
ive been playing since TBC. took the time to read every quest, all the lore in game. ive never really understood much of it till i found your vids. this one was excellent. very clear, very concise. Uldum is a beautiful zone imo, one of my favorites. enjoyed the vid, well done.
I had no idea any of that stuff about the thunder king trying to invade the halls of origination. Very cool to finally learn why Uldum had been hidden from the rest of Azeroth for so long!
Amazing story. I wish this was in the original lore of Warcraft. That said, as I will never play retail again, I am confused about the location of events. Tanaris vs Pandaria ? It's unclear throughout the video where everything actually is. Also, thank you for leaving the descriptions up so we have time to read. ❤
It is a bit confusing as a lot of the lore in this tale occurs in the time before the Great Sundering and when the continents were joined together. So these races could easily move between areas that are now seperated. If we were looking at the current maps, the lore of the Titans occurs in Ulduar and Uldum, the Aqir/Troll chapter occurs across the world, The Thunder King chapter is in Pandaria and then the rest is all Uldum.
One of the more interesting side races and they just like forgot about em. I actually liked this zone and doing the quest to learn the lore. In comparison the void elf and other races feel lacking.
Still really disappointed that after Cata, we never saw them much interacting with the rest of the world. A trader here and there, which is cool. I like the idea of the peoples of Azeroth having individuals who travel far and wide exploring and trading goods between vastly different regions. But, I feel they shouldve been much more involved in big events
Indeed, comparing them to their other Titan forged counterparts, the Tol’vir certainly get the least attention, which is a shame because the lore is amazing 👍🏻
There's so many retcons around the titanforged. Like Uldaman saying Azeroth was the first world they actually made earthen, and that all other worlds just had meat dwarves, ao the curse of flesh was just resetting them to an earlier patch
So sad that most of this lore no longer makes sense whit in the modern expansions yet is still cannon. Loved the video it was this world building and detail that had me love WoW for so many years and i will stand strong belief that WoW should have ended whit Legion
We’ve got some Lich King lore on the channel from a few months ago - the videos aren’t to the same quality as I was still finding my feet but the story still holds 📚 currently working on the next tale, the Plaguelands! Arthas is mentioned a fair bit in that one 📚📖
Added to the list! Aiming to do a massive supercut of the entire Cataclysm lore, featuring zones, main story, factions and characters! Going to be a big project 📚
Given that the curse of flesh seemed to revert the blueprints of the titan forged back to base, are there potentially dwarves, tol’vir, mogu, and mechagnomes on other planets?
The model viewer available runs off an older client for the game, sometimes there are issues with the updated models, the new Trogg models are upside down and hard to manipulate and the updated Earthen don’t have bodies 😂

It's shameful how little I know of the lore considering how long I've been playing. Thank you for your videos! 😅
Hey! Another great video!
This shows time and time again how huge the story of warcraft realy is!
Best wishes from Sweden!
Welcome back Mattias! Indeed, so much lore to cover, we have a length task ahead of us getting through it all, exciting times!📚
Babe wake up, More lore just dropped.

Keep up the great content man really enjoying it
Right! I was so excited when I saw a new TKL video in my Sub list!
Great storytelling as always. Thanks for this video! I never knew the tolvir and the earthen were long lost brother races.
Thanks for the support! They truly are the forgotten race 📚📖

Thorim: teleports all the way to silithus just to help his pet wolf.
Also thorim: doesn't bother teleporting to nearby uldum
I don't think blizzard thought it through when they created the obsidian destroyer. A being immune to magic yet created by magical corruption
I love this channel.
I like to think you dont even do research and you just know all of this off the dome
I’m certainly getting there, researching these videos and reading the Warcraft books in my spare time, lore via osmosis 😂 📚📖
Where is the cutscene that looks like it's in the Throne of the Four Winds from? Is that an ingame cutscene or a fan-made one? It's so cool looking!!
It's from the launch trailer for Cataclysm Classic th-cam.com/video/UOsD0hFELFs/w-d-xo.html
I ain't even 5 seconds in and i had the urge to sub
I love this race! So interesting ❤

Can you please do a long video of lich king zone lore?

@@TheKarazhanLibrary thanks ill check it out.
Super niche content, but it's still gold! How about some Earthen Ring lore next?
Added to the list! Aiming to do a massive supercut of the entire Cataclysm lore, featuring zones, main story, factions and characters! Going to be a big project 📚
Given that the curse of flesh seemed to revert the blueprints of the titan forged back to base, are there potentially dwarves, tol’vir, mogu, and mechagnomes on other planets?
Potentially, there's Earthen within the deeps of Azeroth still so can't see why not 📚
Loved it, moar please!!!!
More coming! 📚
I do love them ❤️ since warcraft 3 with undead
lol why use the old trogg model
anyway, great content!
The model viewer available runs off an older client for the game, sometimes there are issues with the updated models, the new Trogg models are upside down and hard to manipulate and the updated Earthen don’t have bodies 😂
Anyone knows where I can find the full animation at 18:50?

Niiiiiice
Still wondering WHY Tol'Vir were not released as playable when Nzoth invaded Uldum in BFA...
Also: 100th like!!!
Quadrapeds are going to be difficult to implement gameplay wise of course.
Prolly the same time we get Tuskaar...
Wonder why the halls of origination were never used to wipe out the old gods
Yay!
The IKEA masters
Stop 😂😂
Virgin Champion: Guided by the light of the titans
Chad Warrior of Light: Guided by the light of the crystal
I am like number 566
WAIT. THOSE ARE HATS!?!?
I hate that so much
Tol'vir were the only closest race to even have cat people in WoW. But man I sure would love to see a playable cat people someday in WoW.
They're a little primitive, but weren't there cat people in warlords
@@nenwar3454Yeah the Saberon, I was thinking the same thing. Wasn't there a druid glyph that let you change your cat form to one of them?
@TheBroThatSurvived I really don't know, I never really tried out druid back then
Everything told after WotLK is dead to me
