@@MisterPlague Well actually it isn't. Amanda Overton one of the writters of arcane hinted on twitter that Caitlyn have done things like these before and more than one of two times. Cait was very comfortable in the brothel and also Amanda shared a script from a deleted scene in the brothel:

The "you are hot cupcake" line is so iconic now and they managed to write that without being cringe.
This ship is the best written gay romance i've seen on screen so far. It feels natural developed and complements the main plot with it's ups and downs.
This romance is a side plot and therefore no priority but adds so much to the entertainment factor.
VI's face tattoo "Vi" is a pun on her prison number "516"
The violinist is animated after a real person " Ray Chen" who wrote a lot of music for Arcane/Riot Games - just like Imagine Dragons.

I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS EPISODE !!!!
idk if anyone's mentioned it yet, but Imagine Dragons have been huge fans of the game for a long time (since like 2013ish?) and created the League of Legends World Championship 2014 Song 'Warriors' and performed it live that year at Worlds. And reading a lot into the music is defo the play. The production of music for this show was one of the major parts of it, and in some cases the music was actually created first and then the show was storyboarded/animated around the music.
If you love the music in Arcane, I defo recommend checking out the music Riot Games Music puts out (a lot of them have MVs either revolving around characters and the world, or for the eSports World Championship) cause they are a fully fledged (and one of the best IMO) music production company.
They've released a Theme song for every champion they've released (usually some great Orchestral piece, but they mix up the genres based on the champion's style), 3 Metal rock Albums under the band name 'Pentakill', they have a virtual K-Pop group using in game characters (though set in an AU) called 'K/DA' and have released a single (which went viral) and album for that, a side-project Hip-hop group called 'True Damage', and more Hype music than you can shake a stick at.

Straight people love this show, gay people love this show, I am bi so I really love this show, I would take Vi, Cait, Jayce, Mel, Jinx, Heimer, and more. I really like Cait in this episode, the way you see her younger and how she looks, so amazing, then the way her facial expressions and attitude and shyness and I don't know what you call it, but that part when she is like oh yes my parents named me Matilda, the way she looks in that moment, so fucking awesome.

I've been waiting for this episode for sooo long, mainly because of the "you're hot 🧁" line
"You're hot, cupcake" was actually removed from the script several times. The creator had to fight so hard to bring it back in. I have major respect for those who fight to have queer rep in media. Plus the line is so iconic so what's not to love?
The writer said it was cause they had a hard time deciding whether it was in character for Vi to be so forward
In some languages the line also gets changed. You can see a TH-cam comp of the scene in like 10 languages and in some she says something completely different. I think in the Chinese one she even says, "what kind of man you looking for" instead.

They've been hinted at before and it seemed like the team was pretty free to do what they wanted so I don't think it almost being removed was censorship. I could be wrong though; I wasn't in the writers room.
I don’t think when they created this scene there was anything to fight, they had full freedom to do whatever queer rep they wanted, it’s just they didn’t know if that line fit Vi’s character. One of the writers said they kept it in because lesbian rep is always buried in subtext, or something like that, so having Vi be so forward was a clear “I’m attracted to you, I’m gay” moment.
I love seeing people realize Vi is flirting with Cait. It's always a journey.

So if you didnt understand that at the very end, When Silco said “from the dead,” he assumed vi was dead. This is because when Marcus took vi in episode three, Marcus threw her prison, and then told silco she was dead to protect vi. Thats also why earlier in the episode, cait realised that vi had no criminal record. Vi was put in the prison and there were no questions asked. So Marcus did protect vi by making people think she was dead, but that doesnt change the fact hes still a jerk for locking her up.

As horrible is the fact that Vi was thrown in prison, Marcus did save her life. I think he was trying to ease his conscience after what happened to Grayson and the rest, but then he didn't know what do with her. And, well, we see that Silco thought Vi is dead.
Did he though? Vi just kicked the shit out of how many goons already? There was only like 4 of them there including Sevika whom just lost her arm and is being carried by someone else and Silco whom cannot fight. Honestly, she may have been able to handle all of them herself at that point and Powder would have just fueled her on more. He certainly would have tried to kill her, but she's pretty damn tough.
@@chaedi8457 She was very weak from the explosion, and Silco was still very much in fighting shape, with a KNIFE. I don't see any way she could have beaten them.
Not just Vi, Marcus indirectly saved Powder too that night.
We also know from some prison files Riot released that he deliberately bribed the warden with A LOT of money to ensure she stays alive while in prison

I fully understand the admiration for Mel. The character design of Mel is so outstanding that the artist Evan Monteiro has been nominated for the ASIFA-Hollywood Annie Award (the animation Oscars) in the Best Character Design in TV and Media category.
Monteiro has been highlighted because of his excellent work on three particular characters: Mel Medarda, Shoola, and Viktor.
Those two Mel and Victor defiantly stand out to me as awesome looking characters. But really every animator and artist and writer in this show deserve an award.
He also made Caitlyn six feet tall

@Zach Hogan except it hasn’t. In lore there has been zero reason given for why she works as an Enforcer so Arcane is free to make up whatever explanation they want for Vi joining up with them. My best guess is she does it to stick with Caitlyn after the end of season 1, since Cupcake’s going on the warpath imo. Plus she’s gotta get her gauntlets somehow. Either way, she’s still an Enforcer. That’s not been retconned in the slightest.

On episode 4 when Silco is scolding Jinx for the attack at Academy Square, you can see the granade with the Firelights symbol that Silco gave Marcus to frame the Firelights. At that moment Silco had just found out about the attack, BUT the granade was already painted, wich means, the idea to frame the Firelights using the granade probably didn't came from Silco but from Jinx.
