While I’m not a League of Legends player, Imagine Dragons’s association with League for years is how I started falling in love with their songs even more than I already did. “Warriors” was a song they used to promote League back in I think 2013, and it’s still my favorite League song they made.

I like the little story it tells. Vi and the gang stakeout the market - that caged creature and the food stall - and it goes bad. Mylo gets beat up pretty bad, and Ekko and Powder distract the enforcers, but Powder is so upset watching Mylo getting beaten that the Enforcers get them anyway. There's no link to any crime, so that when Vi is arrested (shoved against that chain-link fence) they let her go, but the job is a bust. Vi and Powder fight in their room, and Vi storms off, leaving Powder to slink upstairs to Vander's bar and cry. I'd like to think that the band comfort her, and Vi comes back to apologise, which is what we see at the start, with Powder crying on her shoulder. Vi came back, this time. That's how I see it anyway.
From what I've heard it's more metaphorical. Like, Powder is not ACTUALLY at the bar, it's more of in her head, Powder deciding to become Jinx. She's looking back on everything that happened, that's why she reacts to the events like crying when she fought with Vi and laughing when Ekko fell, and decides everybody wants to be her enemy. It was her last moments as Powder before deciding to become Jinx, that's why in the end of the video the monkey walks off the bar and she isn't there anymore because Powder is "gone".

I love the near-closing shot of Powder being surrounded by Enforcers with Jinx standing over her, it kinda supposits the idea of Powder relying on the Jinx persona to keep herself safe from outside threats.
It's my personal head cannon that the clips seen in the music video are powder's memories and pieces of Jinx's personality all occurring inside Powder's head. The Jinx persona lurking around in Powder's mind and tormenting her.
Yes and she's sitting at the bar, in her head. This would be when she's already with Silco, and she's looking back on her life. She comes to the conclusion that everybody wants to be her enemy so decides to become Jinx, that's why in the end she isn't there at the bar anymore because Powder is essentially gone.
There's also the implication that Jinx was there from the beginning. Powder never really shows empathy and was already fascinated with bombs by the age of 12. How much of her descent into madness and murder was due to the trauma she experienced... and how much was just her own personality? After all, "powder" is a common abbreviation of "gunpowder".
I think my favorite shot in the entire video is near the end when Jinx is standing behind Powder while they're surrounded by enforcers. From a trauma informed / therapeutic perspective, I feel like it shows how the persona of Jinx developed to protect the part of her childhood that's still stick in the trauma, as Powder. I love your reactions because you really pay attention to subtle details and it seems like you truly appreciate the subtext. Can't wait for you to finish Arcane!
I think it's fascinating that Jinx looks way prettier in this music video than she does in the show. One of the things they explicitly did for Jinx, is to give her a scaler for when she's more Powder-like and more Jinx-like. And I'm guessing they're showing what the Jinx model actually looks like if you remove Powder from her completely.

I think in this whole music video, this is after Vi "abandoned" Powder, and Powder went to the last drop in the undercity after that. When you see her leave at the end, I think that's the part where she decided she is Jinx.

From a lot of scenes in the video, my best guess that much of it is taking place days before the series officially begins. Especially if you look back to episode 1 you can see that wheel that powder and Ekko were riding is leaning up against the front of Enzo's shop. Plus we do get a glimpse into some of the issues Powder had between her and Milo. Shows how Jinx was originally a defense mechanism; a way for Powder to put on a brave face, distance herself from her pain, and frighten her enemies.
The shot of Vi showing them how to fight and Silco's goons is really just reusing assets they already have to fill the scene. They really didn't know each other.
My theory is that this season and the opening song of arcane is mostly about Powder and her transformation into Jinx, despite Vi portrayed as the main character of the show. In the music video you can see the friendship of Ekko and Powder. But while Ekko used to have a crush on her, Powder is always only watching her sister - admiring and imitating her. The music video presents the main theme of season 1 : Powder/Jinx - I hope season 2 will focus the theme on Vi ^^.
I recommend watching Get Jinxed OMV(Jinx was listening to it in ep 4, kinda meta xD) , Enemys' MV has some reference from it. Finishing the Arcane and MV for Enemy, then listening to "Get Jinxed" makes it hit differently.

What been very clever as they developed Arcane over the years is fans who were playing the game would see little updates and I think it was offcailly announced quite a while ago with an ad with the styling of Piltover, Later when Vi and Powders designs were released they release a short video of the two characters interacting and then there was Enemy which took us into the show. However if you look back at all the content released before the show aired, there are no spoilers too the show, infact like you said you dont see this montage. Which I think is just commitment from the team and extreme attention to detail.

Surprisingly, a few bits of animation were used in the show in Act 1. The opening with Powder walking into the bar is the longest bit, with the monkey replaced by the stuffed rabbit in the show version. And the shot of the stall with the caged creature [based on the set and camera work] with the kids replaced by the stall keeper. But it's amazing so much of the animation is original just for the music video. Top notch work and gives us, like you said, more of a look into the kids life before the show started.

actually they are really smart with this Music Video cuz fun fact I watched Arcane because of this MV. I am a fan of Imagine Dragon and JID so when they collab I was just checking out the mv cuz of them and I was like wait this is for a show?? well okay will give it a chance, animation looks great and turns out the show is a masterpiece sksks.
In hindsight this entire Music Video could be a flashback of current Jinx thinking back to when she was a kid hanging out in the bar after Vander died listening to the band develop their song as she also remembered her childhood and trying to decipher who she is now without her friends and sister while also listening to those lyrics which would influence her development… so the Imagine Dragons theme song might also be a doorway into Jinx’s psyche
One of the things that is WILD to me about the Enemy music video, is that it came out *before* Arcane, and is *about* Arcane, but ...doesn't have any spoilers for Arcane?! It's definitely worth watching again after all of Arcane, because you pick up on other bits of foreshadowing. There's a MUCH OLDER video called Get Jinxed that came out in....2013? That was just meant to introduce her as a playable character in League of Legends. It's also done by Fortiche! But it's very very different--some of it is just it was animated nearly ten years ago and with a different money/time budget. But also Jinx's appearance is WAY closer to the way she looks in the game, so it's kind of unsettling, lol. (There's a LOT of stuff in Get Jinxed that is played for laughs in a way, and then in Arcane it's like "--but all the reasons for it are HEAVILY TRAUMATIC," and I always wonder if they'd already planned that, or if they released this goofy "whee she likes killing people!!" character and then *later* decided on the traumatic backstory.

Some clips of the enemy music video aren’t canon, since they were shown a few days before the actual show came out. Like when silco’s goons were seen with younger vi and when vi hit jinx in the bedroom, they wanted to misdirect the audience with the music video.
One of my favorite parts of the music video is when you see Powder hitting her head with the spikey-things as her shadow (no idea how to explain) I feel like it really shows how her mind isn’t okay on a deep level
I think this is a rare exception of music created around Riot Games property that does actually get claimed. If you react to any other music from Riot there's a good chance they won't claim for the audio, worth checking the description of other reactions to see if they have a claim or not, I think they are more than happy to have reaction videos to their songs but I guess Imagine Dragons specifically is locked into a UMG publishing contract of some kind.
This music video is how I got into Arcane! I'm an Imagine Dragons fan so I was just watching the video to hear the new song, but then I was like "hold on this looks really cool??? Is this a movie I can watch?" but when I saw it was LoL related I assumed it was just a thing made for the game and was disappointed . Then a few weeks later when the show actually came out I saw a screenshot on twitter and I was like WAIT IT'S A SHOW

Someone may have mentioned it already, but there are two things to notice within in music video you didn't mention. When the firelight is coming out of Powder's mouth, for a split second her eyes open and she turns into Jinx just like the finger guns scene. Secondly, when they transition between the faces of baby Powder, older Powder, and Jinx, the shadow silhouette behind them is from the next version of her they are about to show. It is really cool! I wouldn't be surprised if there are a few other items I'm still missing. Lol
Alongside this video, I also enjoyed watching the Worlds 2021 Opening Ceremony, which was an event that occured hours before Arcane went live on Netflix

I recommend watching Get Jinxed OMV(Jinx was listening to it in ep 4, kinda meta xD) , Enemys' MV has some reference from it. Finishing the Arcane and MV for Enemy, then listening to "Get Jinxed" makes it hit differently.

This music video is like a mini episode of Arcane. Simply a masterpiece.
What been very clever as they developed Arcane over the years is fans who were playing the game would see little updates and I think it was offcailly announced quite a while ago with an ad with the styling of Piltover, Later when Vi and Powders designs were released they release a short video of the two characters interacting and then there was Enemy which took us into the show. However if you look back at all the content released before the show aired, there are no spoilers too the show, infact like you said you dont see this montage. Which I think is just commitment from the team and extreme attention to detail.

her gun is called "Zap", minigun is a "Pow-Pow", and the rocket launcher is Fishebones.
Surprisingly, a few bits of animation were used in the show in Act 1. The opening with Powder walking into the bar is the longest bit, with the monkey replaced by the stuffed rabbit in the show version. And the shot of the stall with the caged creature [based on the set and camera work] with the kids replaced by the stall keeper. But it's amazing so much of the animation is original just for the music video. Top notch work and gives us, like you said, more of a look into the kids life before the show started.
I'm glad you took our advice and showed your love and now your experience will have a little visual memories.

actually they are really smart with this Music Video cuz fun fact I watched Arcane because of this MV. I am a fan of Imagine Dragon and JID so when they collab I was just checking out the mv cuz of them and I was like wait this is for a show?? well okay will give it a chance, animation looks great and turns out the show is a masterpiece sksks.
I didn't even notice that the other kids hanging out with Vi in the alleyway become Silco's goons later on! Amazing catch!!
In hindsight this entire Music Video could be a flashback of current Jinx thinking back to when she was a kid hanging out in the bar after Vander died listening to the band develop their song as she also remembered her childhood and trying to decipher who she is now without her friends and sister while also listening to those lyrics which would influence her development… so the Imagine Dragons theme song might also be a doorway into Jinx’s psyche
One of the things that is WILD to me about the Enemy music video, is that it came out *before* Arcane, and is *about* Arcane, but ...doesn't have any spoilers for Arcane?!
It's definitely worth watching again after all of Arcane, because you pick up on other bits of foreshadowing.
There's a MUCH OLDER video called Get Jinxed that came out in....2013? That was just meant to introduce her as a playable character in League of Legends. It's also done by Fortiche! But it's very very different--some of it is just it was animated nearly ten years ago and with a different money/time budget. But also Jinx's appearance is WAY closer to the way she looks in the game, so it's kind of unsettling, lol.
(There's a LOT of stuff in Get Jinxed that is played for laughs in a way, and then in Arcane it's like "--but all the reasons for it are HEAVILY TRAUMATIC," and I always wonder if they'd already planned that, or if they released this goofy "whee she likes killing people!!" character and then *later* decided on the traumatic backstory.

After finishing Arcane IF you like the world that Arcane takes place ther is a series of cinematic called Tales of Runeterra that tells some of the stories and characters in Pilltover and Zaun, also Noxus and Ionia. (Ps Jinx, Heimer and Ekko appear in one of them)

Some clips of the enemy music video aren’t canon, since they were shown a few days before the actual show came out. Like when silco’s goons were seen with younger vi and when vi hit jinx in the bedroom, they wanted to misdirect the audience with the music video.
One of my favorite parts of the music video is when you see Powder hitting her head with the spikey-things as her shadow (no idea how to explain)

I think this is a rare exception of music created around Riot Games property that does actually get claimed. If you react to any other music from Riot there's a good chance they won't claim for the audio, worth checking the description of other reactions to see if they have a claim or not, I think they are more than happy to have reaction videos to their songs but I guess Imagine Dragons specifically is locked into a UMG publishing contract of some kind.

This music video is how I got into Arcane! I'm an Imagine Dragons fan so I was just watching the video to hear the new song, but then I was like "hold on this looks really cool??? Is this a movie I can watch?" but when I saw it was LoL related I assumed it was just a thing made for the game and was disappointed . Then a few weeks later when the show actually came out I saw a screenshot on twitter and I was like WAIT IT'S A SHOW
Fun fact, the comma and period keys will move a video frame by frame, hopefully that helps in moments like trying to find the adult jinx for a split second

Someone may have mentioned it already, but there are two things to notice within in music video you didn't mention.
When the firelight is coming out of Powder's mouth, for a split second her eyes open and she turns into Jinx just like the finger guns scene.
Secondly, when they transition between the faces of baby Powder, older Powder, and Jinx, the shadow silhouette behind them is from the next version of her they are about to show. It is really cool!
I wouldn't be surprised if there are a few other items I'm still missing. Lol

Some clips can be parts of the story, the ones with Vi Na pow with their bros, but mostly the video was a clever misdirection of Riot to set us up :D like the trailers.
