Master Class from Tom Harris with a World Final win in a brand-new car it was a Mega hit From FWJ for the last bender. so glad we were there for the full weekend. Excellent job done by Rob Speak and the team to put on a great event.
Fantastic to see the late 60's and 70's era cars being driven with gusto . Brings back memories of my teenage years going to the North West tracks. From memory the livery on Cronny's Wynn's car looks incorrect - the Wynn's colours looped over the bonnet in a reproduction of the Wynn's decals of that era. Cronny was World Champ when I discovered stock cars around early '72.
See Nigel Harrhy’s interview with Tom after the race regarding the damage to the car after the stoppage - seems he won the WF with a compromised set up.
Great coverage and a great WF. Credit to Rob & his team for putting on such a great show and all the drivers for making it such a special weekend. Special mention to 515 for his comments post meeting final re the loading up of some drivers.. a true ambassador for our sport.
@chrisivens3413 It was mentioned to him that some were loading up to save themselves for the shootout the following day. He basically responded in saying it's WF night and the public had paid their hard earned money to see the biggest day on the calendar and he'd never load up after the big race.
@@dom.b1972 Frankie always shows up. As do many of the other big names. If you want to be seen by the most fans, WF day is the day to do it. Shootout was popular but nowhere near as many people. Get out and race. It’s what real racing drivers do.
great vid and a great meeting even if tom had a extra practice compared to every1 else he was doing fast laps while showing the the driver from the states the way around

The Cronshaw car livery is spot on, built by Pete Fenton who I know as a perfectionist.

I didn't get to hear the post race stuff from where I was standing. What did he say?

@@chrisivens3413 spot on mate 👍🏻
nice all the old cars
That sprint car handled the track really well!
I would love to see sprintcars in the UK and other parts of Europe to potentially see an international based series as a Canadian sprintcar fan
@@DerekDoxtador44D Class 8 autograss cars come quite close. Check them out.
