Imagine me, I was 35 to me she was just a baby, seems like yesterday, It was all over the news, didnt know who she was. Then almost seamlessly the movie came out, I was having trouble distinguishing selena from jlo. It was quite a story but life went on. Up until a couple years ago I found myself fascinated with her story, had to see this amazing place where she was from. Went there twice last year driving 25 hours.
The fact Selena was warned so many times by people that Yolanda wasnt a good person and a backstabber and she didnt want to believe just proves that she had a pure soul and it hurt her when she found out what Yolanda did to her money.
Just a hint, when people show other people who they are and you hear of it one should believe it because you never know it could mean your own life. There were many many warnings signs about that lady ( I don’t like to give her name any power) Selena had no business meeting with her alone it’s a shame her family didn’t protect her.

I find it interesting that Yolanda claimed to shoot Selena by accident. The gun that Yolanda used to shoot her was a Taurus revolver. (Dont know the exact model) Anyone who has a basic understanding of firearms knows that a revolver has about a 12lbs to 15lbs trigger pull. How could that gun have possibly gone off accidently?? That distance from the room to the lobby was WAY too long for her to run for help. The bullet tore through her back and came out her shoulder, severing a major artery. Selena's fear, her desperate escape from Yolanda and the adrenaline that coursed through her while she was running, made her heart pump even faster causing major blood loss. By the time she reached the lobby, Selena lost almost half her blood volume. I wish that there was someone near to the incident who could've helped Selena by plugging that bullet hole to try to stop the bleeding long enough for the ambulance to get there. It may not have helped to keep her alive, but a lot of people CAN live when a gunshot wound is a "through and through", but tearing that artery made it pretty much impossible.

wow she was strong, and if the bullet hit somewhere else she would’ve survived, cause she brought her self to safety, I mean after being shot she RAN for quite a distance, but the fact that she was running made her heart race and pump more blood, and she was shot in an artery, so the more blood was pumping, the more she was loosing, i just hope she’s in a better place. We love you Selena.

Devastating. This tragedy leaves a lot of "what ifs". What if Selena would've just let the police sort it out? What if Selena was accompanied by someone else? What if Selena would have fired her over the phone? Just mind boggling how life can literally end on a single decision. Selena will always be remembered and loved. Sad and absolutely senseless.

I find it interesting that Yolanda claimed to shoot Selena by accident. The gun that Yolanda used to shoot her was a Taurus revolver. (Dont know the exact model) Anyone who has a basic understanding of firearms knows that a revolver has about a 12lbs to 15lbs trigger pull. How could that gun have possibly gone off accidently?? Unless the hammer was cocked back. But then again why would the hammer be drawn back if she had no intentions of shooting her 😏
Unless she had the gun to her head then suddenly decided to point it at selena. Only 2 people really know and one of them is gone. I'm glad Yolanda is in jail and will stay there but first degree murder basically means premeditated murder. I'm thinking that the premeditation may have been suicide. But the sudden rage that Yolanda felt when seeing selena remove the ring, let's say, changed the meditation, a little.

Somebody brought up a good point, if technology was more advanced back then none of this wouldve happened because online records exist now. Yolanda wouldn't be able to steal like that anymore. Also Selena could've texted somebody where she was planning to go.
I was 15 when she died, she had a bright career, ahead of her just sad that she achieved her goal in death.
That distance from the room to the lobby was WAY too long for her to run for help.
The bullet tore through her back and came out her shoulder, severing a major artery.
Selena's fear, her desperate escape from Yolanda and the adrenaline that coursed through her while she was running, made her heart pump even faster causing major blood loss. By the time she reached the lobby, Selena lost almost half her blood volume.
I wish that there was someone near to the incident who could've helped Selena by plugging that bullet hole to try to stop the bleeding long enough for the ambulance to get there.
It may not have helped to keep her alive, but a lot of people CAN live when a gunshot wound is a "through and through", but tearing that artery made it pretty much impossible.

@@utropmonroe7331 She panicked; she was terrified. Yolanda still had the gun, so I would imagine that she wanted to put as much distance as she could between herself and Yolanda.
What is so sickening is that Yolanda Salvidar got in her truck and continued to hunt down Selena after shooting just to make sure she dies. She got caught by an patrol officer and parked her truck.

I just thank god she was able to make it and to the office and tell on Yolanda and the room number. Wow I can't imagine me being shot and remembering where the office was. You gotta remember that Yolanda was chasing Selena with the gun on her hand still, so even if Selena did stay back and wait, Yolanda would’ve probably shot her again. So the outcomes would’ve been the same. :(
