    It’s onside but even if it’s somehow not, it’s too close of a call to only take a few seconds for the officials to review it. Suspicious.

      @TheMightyHams 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      @@recruitmentch Jota's first yellow wasn't a yellow, therefore the red was undeserved.
      Curtis' red was difficult. In the spirit of the game it's I personally feel those types of challenges shouldn't be a straight red when he's connected with the ball (with no intention of going for the player) and physics deflects it into another player, but ultimately it's close enough that you can't really hold it to the ref unless it's been specifically provisioned in the rules/briefings to the opposite.
      The onside/offside goal was horrific. If they'd taken the time to check it and come to the wrong conclusion on it then that's one thing, but the fact that it wasn't even checked and then there was the pisstake with lines in combination with all the other decisions this game makes it stink of corruption and incompetence. I'm a Liverpool fan & I watched the game tonight, it's refreshing to hear United & City fans also saying the ref had a shocker & absolutely screwed us, completely had our pants down it was awful, they completely ruined the match. I don't normally like slating refs too much because I don't think any of them are bias they're just generally incompetent across the board & give bad decisions against any team at any given moment, however today's match really made me question my philosophy on that, it was like every single decision went against us.
    Curtis Jones got the ball & the ref only looked at the still of it right at the end when he made contact with his ankle without seeing anything that lead up to it showing him clearly getting a huge touch on the ball, never a red card in a million years, it's a booking at best if that. Diaz's goal was 100% onside, & if that counts Spurs probably don't go up the other end & score 2 minutes later so really we should have been 2-0 up by the end of the 1st half even with 10 men. & the first Jota yellow card was a full-on dive so he shouldn't have been sent off either, that's 3 huge decisions he got wrong before even mentioning the small things.
    Credit where it's due Bissouma was an absolute animal, complete nightmare, caused total chaos in our midfield, we had no idea what to do with him, however it doesn't really matter & even Spurs fans/ players would rather have done this the right way by beating us with both sides having XI players on the pitch so it's a fair contest.

    • @Billyb0b557
      @Billyb0b557 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Curtis Jones was 100% a red card. It was endangering an opponent and he went over the ball. As simple as that. Intent and getting the ball don't matter when you endanger an opponent goint studs up over the ball even if your intention wasn't to harm him. Obviously the offside was a disgrace but the red card for Jones was 100% right and Jota clipped Udogie heel causing him to trip himself up. Even if you don't think that was a yellow card, you don't go diving in for the second yellow when you're on a yellow card already. Pure stupidity

    • @johnreaney781
      @johnreaney781 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Billyb0b557 it's a contact sport mate, obviously if he didn't get the ball it's a red, but he gets the ball so he has no intention of studding him, his foot just slipped over the ball cos it's greasy & he clipped his ankle, that's why there's no intention in that, because he got the ball first before he caught the man, so a player can get hurt but it doesn't always mean the player who hurt him has done anything wrong, his foot has done something he wasn't intending it to do & it was an accident, therefore not a red card at all. If the ref watched the full clip he'd have seen that but he only saw the still of the impact with the man after he'd already got quite a heavy touch on the ball. & with the first Jota foul the guy literally tripped over his own shoe, I don't even think Jota made contact but even if he did that wasn't what took the Spurs player to the ground, it was his own momentum tripping over his own shoe. Apparently the ref booked him for that because he did one before that which went unpunished so he was making up for his error, but if that's the case he should have just booked him for the initial one to begin with, that way he wouldn't be having to backpedal on his other decisions by giving him a yellow card for literally nothing. Okay yeah he shouldn't have gone in for the 2nd one, sure, but he never should have been put in that position by the ref to begin with.

    This happened to Newcastle last season against Liverpool. They even drew the lines and said it was offside. When it was so obvious it wasn’t. I think the fact they’re saying 7 seconds after the restart they knew something wasn’t right is the piss take.
