On car guide , Westfalia A40v detachable fitting & removal.

The unit lives under the car, some are more exposed than others & will get weathered, some cleaning from time to time maybe required, wire brush, emery paper WD40 or a little grease if very dry.
Always fully load & remove the red key before use, & always refit the dirt cover when not in use.
If you can't remove the red key. Stop. Remove the neck and clean the contact surfaces of the neck & the receiver of grit, paint, surface rust, then try again. Cheers [e-mail]

Thanks for saving my life 😅 I couldn't get the key off and I've already lost hope - the solution was to clean the outside of the part mounted on the car. There was actually some rust there, not much but it was enough. ❤

Thanks.. I will try to reproduce this on my car today.. I think it's missing the weather proofing thing down there and thats why it's kinda tough to get it there. Also my technique might be a bit wrong. Might need some lubrication there then..
