WOW! Amy! After you talked about writing your affirmations daily (even though your point was fairly simple), something clicked in my brain like never before and I paused the video and wrote down seven affirmations that encompass the goals I'm trying to achieve in my life. I suddenly realize how affirmations can be beneficial to ME, and how writing them every morning will keep them in my mind and help me feel that I am already achieving them. THANK YOU! :)
Affirmations are HUGE! I love to write them down (because sometimes saying them out loud can be hard depending on the day). But I notice that when I reread them before bed I am so motivated to get up in the morning!
Ally Teacher it used to happen to me a lot at first. The trick was to get my mind occupied. As soon as I pour my water and coffee I go into the living room and watch TH-cam. I love watching TH-cam. I love that I can control what I watch so I don't ruin my morning with fake news and stuff. And it stops me from falling back asleep.
I’ve started waking up at 5am since watching these videos and love it now! I tend to do it every other day but might increase to every weekday. I find it’s the only time I have before my daughter gets up and I’m pulled in a million other directions, to really focus on myself and get my mind and body in a productive place. My routine is kinda inspired by your 5am wake up video. I wake up, having got everything ready the night before, put the kettle on for tea, drink water, take medication and eat a few bites. I'll shower then write and meditate while my hair dries. And of course kitty cuddles. Wouldn't be my morning without it. X

New to your channel and I am obsessed!! I received a promotion at work that begins August 1st and all of your information is so beneficial to me! I somehow fell into your videos and am soooo thankful I did! I always thought I wasn't a morning person, but I think it was because I was waking up only early enough to get ready and get out the door. Now that I wake up earlier I find that I am most productive early and do MUCH better the rest of the day.
I didn’t realize that you could let yourself do your morning pages after getting other things done! I have been trying morning pages since the end of May after learning about them from you. I might try putting exercise or something first, or at least not being so strict about doing the pages right after I’ve washed up and made my bed. I also love the idea of starting morning pages with affirmations!
I've been getting up at 7:30am ever since your how to wake up earlier video! That may not be early for a lot of people but for someone is more of a night owl it works out very well for me 💜

I remember the first time I heard you give the phone in the other room tip (i can't remember which video I saw it in but I know you've said it a few times). You explained why you do it in such a motivating way. It's literally the first thing you tell yourself you're going to do during the day and if you don't do it... you start your day on a negative note and it just all goes downhill fro there. I keep my phone in my bathroom and I quit hitting snooze cold turkey. BEST. LIVE. DECISION. EVER.
I know as a woman we spend on razors all the time and I've used the dollar shave club. However, I'd recommend a safety razor because you only replace the actual razor blades which are dirt cheap, recyclable, and the razor itself is lifelasting and money saving.

Before kids, I felt like I was way more productive and I still don't have my mornings in order (as far as ME time goes) as much as I hoped. I have their routine down but this mama needs me time, too! I work Monday - Wednesday and I have to be at work by 5 am...I am trying to convince myself that I need to wake up at 5 am on Thursdays and Fridays, so far I have been unsuccessful....great video Amy
I love watching videos about routines like this but I still totally struggle. I work revolving shifts, so going to bed and waking up at the same time every day is already out. (waking up at 5 am when I got to sleep at 9 is great, though actually too late when I have an early shift due to commute time; waking up at 5 am when I got to sleep at 4:45am is kind of impossible though.) I basically need a short and a long morning routine and a short and a long night routine D:

Somehow my body thinks 6am should be a weekend thing too! I really like that little lemon squeezer, along with 16 Oz of water. Because right now I may have a routine that includes grabbing a La Croix or two on the way out the door and this looks like such a better idea! Somehow never caught this video. Good advice. My challenge is I have only until 6 AM to get out of the house and to work - my shift starts at 7 and it takes 45 minutes to an hour to get there. Fun times - NOT. Oh, and my cat has to be part of my morning routine. I get up by 5 AM but obviously not much time to do anything before I leave except - shower and get ready and take care of the cat. Maybe 10 minutes of exercise and some lemon water but nothing else.
My wake up time is 6 am unless I have to work. Getting used to that and then I'll make it earlier. Also, I like cucumber water. I drink it almost all day. Gives a nice refreshing flavor and cucumbers are good for joint inflammation.
Love this! Do you have any tips for condensing your morning routine for days you have to go out really early? When I do early shifts I start at 5am. At the moment I get up at 3:30am which gives me time to shower and have breakfast but I feel that I could get more out of my mornings, even on early shifts.
I keep a 900ml bottle of water on my night stand, and sometimes I'm not even out of bed yet, and have already drank like half of it!, I usually jump out of bed, shower, get dressed, make breakfast, put on my shoes, and leave the house, but I really want to get into making my bed every morning (partially because I love my bed spread) and I want to stark working out, but sometimes that just doesn't happen.
Dollar shave club is incredible! I hadn't tried the wipes but maybe I will add them to my order next time. I have been reading the 5 second rule and want to implement the alarm in the other room idea; however I am known to ignore the alarm until it stops going off, or just literally not hearing it at all.

The way you feel about hoping Lucy stays asleep is the way I feel about my kids. Every time I try to wake up before them and have a good routine they decide they need to wake up early too 😑
The tip about leaving the cellphone in the office was the best. I leave in my leaving room with my dogs leash. So I can’t run away from first duty: dogs pee lol. It helps A LOT. I fully awake after a five minute walk in the garden with him.
I dont have to replace my razor because I maintain it well. I use hair conditioner for my lather and it works at keeping the razor protected so it doesnt dull or rust. I whip out the water and run it on a towel upward.

I know that The Dollar Shave Club thing was a sponsored deal and I am sure that you love and use their products...however, I just want to suggest a product that I have recently discovered that has made my shower time "heaven on earth" for me! Now, if you don't enjoy that "day at the beach" scent, you won't like these products. What I am talking about is Sol De Janeiro's Brazilian 4 Play Body Wash and their Bum Bum Cream. This stuff is GOLD! Liquid gold on my skin! It also makes me smell like a brazilian goddess for about an hour after my shower, which I am not complaining about! But my skin has never been softer! They have a skin buffer I am dying to try but it's always sold out!!
Hi Amy, So I´ve been trying to wake up early this past two weeks.... probably since I have binge watching your videos... I am interested on starting a lifestyle channel to keep me accountable on my health and fitness goals..... however.... my "native" language is Spanish... I live in Mexico and most of my family and friends speak... Spanish.... I do to on a regular basis... problem is.... I learned English as a first language, so whenever I start thinking on a conversation for a video, or thoughts.... or anything related, they turn on in English and do not have the same impact in Spanish. I know as you said previously... I should have started "videoing" YESTERDAY.... buuuuut... I have no idea if I should a) name my channel in english or spanish.... and b) have my content in English or Spanish.... Seriously... if you would talk to me in person, you wouldn´t notice an accent. anyways.... would appreciate some advice. Cheers! Thanks!
I’ve been trying to wake up at 5am and go straight to the gym so I can workout twice a day and I haven’t 😑 I wake up at 6am clean my room and my bathroom drink my lemon water and start the coffee after that than my kids wake up. Do whatever your body tells you to do. It’s ok to be a night owl. What really matters is the amount of hours you dedicate to productivity and to yourself. This early morning routines thing has to stop
I know what you mean. I often work closer shifts and the only way to get up early is to go to bed as soon as I get home at like 11:30pm, but that's after walking about a mile (to bus stop, ride, then to house) so my legs are still hella active and so is my brain. (Bus is noisy too.) I have to wind down with a cup of non caffeinated tea and my drawing/journaling paper before bed or else I'll end up lying awake for an hour anyway. Lol I guess I do "Night Pages" instead of morning pages. I brain dump and ven't everything I couldn't talk about with anyone during the day before bed so it doesn't end up in my dreams disturbing me or jolting me awake. Like a "pre-dream brain cleanse."

If I’m not mistaken, Amy rewrites her goals both in the morning and at night... it could work for affirmations too.

I keep a 900ml bottle of water on my night stand, and sometimes I'm not even out of bed yet, and have already drank like half of it!, I usually jump out of bed, shower, get dressed, make breakfast, put on my shoes, and leave the house, but I really want to get into making my bed every morning (partially because I love my bed spread) and I want to stark working out, but sometimes that just doesn't happen.

I have been reading the 5 second rule and want to implement the alarm in the other room idea; however I am known to ignore the alarm until it stops going off, or just literally not hearing it at all.

Another question I have is are you afraid the Citrus in the lemon water will ruin your teeth? I only ask because I'm adopted your routine on this (which I absolutely love) and somebody told me it will eat away my enamel... I don't think so, I think the enamel thing would only happen if you are drinking lemon water with apple cider vinegar

The acid in the citrus *can* affect your enamel, over time. Simple fix: Use a *reusable* straw.

The tip about leaving the cellphone in the office was the best. I leave in my leaving room with my dogs leash. So I can’t run away from first duty: dogs pee lol. It helps A LOT. I fully awake after a five minute walk in the garden with him.
I dont have to replace my razor because I maintain it well. I use hair conditioner for my lather and it works at keeping the razor protected so it doesnt dull or rust. I whip out the water and run it on a towel upward.

Years 😊even if you just put the conditioner in the blades and rinsed it off and dried. Razors only get dull because they oxidize.

I know that The Dollar Shave Club thing was a sponsored deal and I am sure that you love and use their products...however, I just want to suggest a product that I have recently discovered that has made my shower time "heaven on earth" for me! Now, if you don't enjoy that "day at the beach" scent, you won't like these products. What I am talking about is Sol De Janeiro's Brazilian 4 Play Body Wash and their Bum Bum Cream. This stuff is GOLD! Liquid gold on my skin! It also makes me smell like a brazilian goddess for about an hour after my shower, which I am not complaining about! But my skin has never been softer! They have a skin buffer I am dying to try but it's always sold out!!

I wish I had time to do all those things. I have a job where I work at 5:15 every morning. Getting up at 4 is hard enough as it is.

Hi Amy, So I´ve been trying to wake up early this past two weeks.... probably since I have binge watching your videos... I am interested on starting a lifestyle channel to keep me accountable on my health and fitness goals..... however.... my "native" language is Spanish... I live in Mexico and most of my family and friends speak... Spanish.... I do to on a regular basis... problem is.... I learned English as a first language, so whenever I start thinking on a conversation for a video, or thoughts.... or anything related, they turn on in English and do not have the same impact in Spanish. I know as you said previously... I should have started "videoing" YESTERDAY.... buuuuut... I have no idea if I should a) name my channel in english or spanish.... and b) have my content in English or Spanish.... Seriously... if you would talk to me in person, you wouldn´t notice an accent. anyways.... would appreciate some advice. Cheers! Thanks!

I’ve been trying to wake up at 5am and go straight to the gym so I can workout twice a day and I haven’t 😑 I wake up at 6am clean my room and my bathroom drink my lemon water and start the coffee after that than my kids wake up. I’m a night owl...I’d rather work until 1am Every day instead of geting up early and finishing early haha. I’m trying to get myself to wake up early but it’s HARD😂

To wake up early you have to sleep early
Do whatever your body tells you to do. It’s ok to be a night owl. What really matters is the amount of hours you dedicate to productivity and to yourself. This early morning routines thing has to stop
I know what you mean. I often work closer shifts and the only way to get up early is to go to bed as soon as I get home at like 11:30pm, but that's after walking about a mile (to bus stop, ride, then to house) so my legs are still hella active and so is my brain. (Bus is noisy too.) I have to wind down with a cup of non caffeinated tea and my drawing/journaling paper before bed or else I'll end up lying awake for an hour anyway. Lol I guess I do "Night Pages" instead of morning pages. I brain dump and ven't everything I couldn't talk about with anyone during the day before bed so it doesn't end up in my dreams disturbing me or jolting me awake. Like a "pre-dream brain cleanse."

I try to wake-up btw 5.30-6 a.m. and I get very productive the days I manage to do it. I have a serious problem with going to bed early, cannot sleep... so when my alarm rings I don’t even realize I snooze!!! 😓 thanks for your video! Hi Amy! I love your videos but I'm confused..if you do your skincare routine before a shower does that mean you have to restart the whole skincare process after the shower? Cuz like doesn't it all wash off? 😅😅😅
I only reapply moisturizer after the shower. The routine is early enough that all of the product sets in long before I get in the shower.
