Fun Fact: In Australia the theatre management has to pause the show and tell the audience to control their excitement, In USA management has reduced the sound levels

In a theatre I guess in UK , they were forced to play this movie in low volume as they considered such high volume would bring a damage to their speakers🤣🤣

The fetish for bleached skin women is not just restricted to south. At least in Tamil there are dark skinned women too like Aishwarya R and Nandita Das, but in hindi the women don't look Indian at all. Having lived in UP, one can tell that no one there looks like Kareena or Alia. The age gap across many film industries is hilarious but is the same for SRK - Deepika/Anushka/Alia or Salman - Sonakshi, Akshay- and many 20-30 year olds.

All who are considering balakrishna a over action hero, please watch adithya 369 and other movies but only problem in him is he is a director's actor he don't say a word to directors ideas so some bad directors use him in such a way but if he gets a good director. Ex: adithya 369 ( a time travel movie long ago in India may be 1st indian time travel) , gauthami putra shatha karni

Balayya films at this point to us are like guilty pleasure like if a telugu guy shouts "Jay balayya" whole theatre does that too 😂. It's just an emotion don't go too deep in it 😂

I solely went for the movie for thaman background music, i still remembers the vibrations in the theater. the main point is ,after covid peaple wanted the theater experience ,this could be a main reason for the success, because the previuos movie of boyapati was lashed by public

Bhai I had watched this movie and if you keep aside some illogical action scenes in first half, the second half and it’s concept and teachings on Sanatana Dharma is amazing and if it teaches Hindus about the concept of Sanatana Dharma and their own roots, then the movie is worth the hype and I must say that movie is pretty damn good.

As a Telugu guy, I know what Balayya is for Fans. He is son of Great Sr. NTR so obviously has a great fan base. Fans now just want to see Balayya in Powerful Action and dialogues. Boyapati and Balakrishna combo does that fan service. Simha, Legend and now Akhanda all 3 blockbusters. U can troll him for OTT action scenes but watching his movies is just for an Experience.

I'm so proud that kerala is casting the right female lead roles . Atleast they don't have obsession with fair skin and all.

It is a strictly "for fans " movie 😂😁......I must say that Jammy , you are very brave to even watch it in OTT......The only good things though are Thaman's ground breaking BGM , the cinematography and Balayya's second 'superhero' sage type role

No matter how much we mock a particular kind of cinema, we need to realize even that has an audience. There is a humongous demographic in India which swears by such over the top, escapist fare and hence cinema of this genre is never gonna go out of style.

Also, I've seen many people come up with this idea. I mean Akhanda character was dope af. If someone could take inspiration and create a superhero, it has immense potential with the kind of powers and ideas they can come up with in connection to God Shiva

Woke Bollywood can never represent sanatan dharma like south movies do.

There is also a fetishization of fair skin in Bollywood as well, but its not as huge as in the Telugu and Tamil Industry. And thankyou Anmol for not stereotyping the whole south cinema.

I absolutely enjoy your reviews Jammy! And I agree with everything that you said. There are problematic sequences and it logically shouldn’t work. For a Telugu speaker like myself, Balakrishna's movies have for long been exclusively theatre experiences, with the best ones on single screens. I saw the movie in the theatre and on Hotstar and it simply feels different. I absolutely loved the whole cinematic experience, the music in particular. It gave me Endgame and No Way Home vibes. However, I do agree that the movie feels absurd on OTT. One cannot emphasise the theatre experience enough

hi! jammy I am a huge follower of your reviews and I also marvel at the views of movies. as a fellow film enthusiast . I have some movie recommendations of Balakrishna and you would be surprised the Matlab Kuch Bhi Balakrishna is the only Telugu hero who has done a time travel movie named Aditya 369(1991) and a fantasy movie Bhairavadweepam(1994). These may not be a completion to the present VFX technology but at that time these movies' has been made by the best crew and veteran director Singeetham Srinivas Rao has made these beautiful movies which made me excited. And I can confidently at that time only Balakrishna had the confidence to accept these movies. I don't know about other industries but in Telugu, every top lead actor has Matlab Kuch Bhi moments I just want you to know this hero Balakrishna is not only a mass hero.

I really watched this movie only for my fav Thaman's re-recording and BGM. It was surreal experience. There are two different BGM pieces for each role that Balakrishna played, one being a sober cum aggressive gentlemen 'Murali Krishna' and the other being a mammoth spiritual form of Lord Shiva 'Akhanda'. My pick is the BGM for the former one as it sounds victorious and pleasing to the ears. Cinematography by Ram prasad (a regular associate of director Boyapati) is with high scores too. Performance of Srikanth is also supreme. Though i watched it on OTT, but this movie would've been a treat for audience with theatre experience for its re- recording and BGM especially in 2nd half.
