….Thank you so much, I’m not a good cake maker but I did this and my neighbour said it was the best cake he’s tasted …doing one now again for him as he’s not too well.
Just found your channel by accident. Fantastic recipes and your instructions are so clear and easy to follow. You should have your own cookery programme on telly!
This was delicious! I did substitute a gluten-free flour mix for the wheat flour, a bit of almond milk, and used baking powder too. thank you for posting.
A stupendously Delicious cake and so easy to prepare! Thank you for your lovely presentation of this cake! Do you have a lemon cake with a cream cheese frosting/filling topped with a lemon glaze? Or a special Pound cake? Thank You! ♥️♥️♥️😋⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Hi, yes you can use all purpose flour (this is known as plain flour in the UK). The almonds in this recipe are for the flavour and they add a little moisture but they can be traded for flour ❤️
I've just made it and followed the recipe but it didn't rise much (it looks more like a pie). When poured the batter into the 8 inch tin I thought to myself "it's not much batter, what have I missed?" I checked the recipe again but didn't miss anything..and it is very shiny shall i say ;) very greasy in the hands! I used fat spread, should be okay, shouldn't it? Where do you think I went 'wrong'? Thank you. Love from the UK ;)
You went wrong in using a Spread instead of Margarine or Butter. Never use spreads in baking as you've discovered, the results are Not good. If you still wish to use a Spread look for recipes that call for Oil and it Might work. To be on the safe side, add an extra tablespoon of Flour or Cornstarch. Good luck 🍀🍀🍀 Happy Baking!!! 😋☺️😃♥️🇺🇸

Thank You! ♥️♥️♥️😋⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Were you doubling the quantity as it looked a lot more butter and sugar at the beginning?
More sugar than the flour? Correct measurements?
Oh my god this was soooooo good I used real vanilla bean
Can i just use all regular purpose flour or do i need to use the almond flour?

My mum was jeulous, hahaahha
What type of pears were used?
Hi. As a general rule I use Conference pears - you could use regular dessert pears and these would work as well

Failed recipe. Followed instructions. Should’ve eaten the organic pears instead
