Good call and right after, he moved over for you 🙂

Good driving. I don't think the civic driver had a lot of experiance driving fast on twisty back roads lol.

Similar thing happened to me on the PCH. I live on the other side of the country, so when I visited a friend in the Bay area I took the opportunity to rent a Miata (in maybe 2005?) and run along the PCH - what a drive! Most drivers were kind - when I approached from behind they moved over and let me pass. At one point I came up behind a Cadillac CTS who was...less kind. They were going slow and just were not moving over. I got more and more impatient (not the best reaction, but was 20 years younger then) so I started closing the gap. Each corner I got closer and they got more aggressive, I suppose trying to prove they could stay in front. Eventually they understeered and ran wide onto the shoulder on corner exit. I backed off - nothing was worth either of us getting hurt because I'm a tad impatient and their ego couldn't be bothered to step aside. Unlike this vid, they never got over to let me by.

We’d love to visit the PCH. And yeah, we all learn to back off of slower cars or pull off for faster ones. Love Miata’s too. One of the most accessible and pure driving experiences available these days.

notmal to drive a normal road with a helmet on? 🤔

yea its a bit much lol but he doesnt have a cage so if he did go off the road it might help! hopefully he never has to find out lol

@@druemarino not sure how much a helmet would help if the car is on top of you, but I hear what you are saying.
I think my point was more related to the fact he shouldn't be driving fast enough to be worried about that on an open public road.
he could hit any number of things or people long before flying off the side of the road. (motorcycle, bikers, peds, parked cars)
good to know he cares about himself though... 🙄🤦🏼‍♂️

Helmet was for camera point of view. If he didn’t record it, we wouldn’t be able to watch, judge, and comment.

AdamLZ got smoked by a truck crossing left over his lane to get to a rest area behind a blind corner - it isn’t YOU, it’s the rest of the world lol

He was being about as responsible as you can be on the Tail. He didn't cross the yellow and backed off from the other driver. The only person that would get hurt would be himself.@@ontheotherside3

Weird, it’s almost as if FWD is the inferior drivetrain for corners….

@@PROofHAPPYWHEELS ummmm physics says you’re wrong as does nearly every performance platform with the exception of the civic type R and the magic that Honda has been able to pull off there with their differential.

I was thinking civic type r and mk7 GTI with their magic diffs too.

@@MCK3NZ13 - agreed. Still, at the end of the day for performance/track driving RWD (either FR, MR, or RR) is the way to go. With FWD you're forcing the tires to split available grip between cornering forces and acceleration. Inevitably, you'll run into understeer if you push too hard.

@@pbourdon231 Physics was invented by dorks with too much time on their hands, and no skill in a FWD car. That SI needed a driver mod, better tires, and a rear sway bar-- oh and to lay off the fuckin accelerator.
