What makes the Assoiation so unique is that that had 6 band members doing the voacals for harmonizing. The usual rock group of the era used a lead and backup for harmonizing but the Association could provide multiple layers of vocals for a deep and rich sound. My favorite memory song of the 60's.

This song gives me chills, it is so wonderful hearing your comments and knowing that others really get the emotion that the artists were trying to convey in their songs. I saw the Association perform many different times in person! They were phenomenal. I was so fortunate that I lived in LA back in the 70's and early 80's and got to see many of the famous performers of that time live. The Association often came to play at a play called the John Wayne Theater in an amusement park called Knott's Berry Farm. I tried never to miss their shows when they came. The harmonies are so crystal. You are so right though, these songs do speak of a love that we all feel and want deep down, but that the last couple of generations somehow forgot or were never taught to know how to express and believe in. Being able to put the tenderest of feelings into poetry or music is one of man's highest art forms.

I feel so blessed to have grown up on this music! So simple yet so powerful! Did not need auto tune or big productions or half naked people to convey the heart of a song! Majority of music today has no soul or respect IMO! Loving your reactions and channel❤❤❤ Love from an old lady from Texas🤠

If you listen to the song its about a man who is in love with a woman who unfortunately doesn't love him back. Beautiful and sad at the same time.

I was 15 years old when this came out, girls were so intimidating with their beauty and I was so painfully shy. 😊

This group had at least five big hits, but this is the most-remembered one. Try hearing "Everything That Touches You". I'm sure you guys will like it.

While listening to this song again, probably for the thousandth time, I realize that this is one of the best songs on unrequited love. It is beautiful and heartbreaking. So happy you two have opened yourselves to the music we boomers love so much.

Two of their songs, "Windy," and "Never My Love," have received more radio plays than 99.99% of all other songs. The structure of "Cherish" is particularly brilliant, with that incredibly long "bridge" that goes into new melodic territory. In 1966, this was voted the top song of the year in the New York area. I would have gone with "Good Vibrations," but it's still a brilliant tune.

Great music made with absolutely no Auto-Tune. I can't count how many times this was played at proms, weddings and other parties.

This was probably their biggest seller. Also react if you haven’t already to their song Along Comes Mary which was one of the first songs that made a reference to marijuana.

I grew up with this music and much more taking it for granted. I'm glad I lived long enough to really appreciate it's greatness.

The lyrics, the satin vocal harmonies, the production. Back in a time when love and tenderness meant so much. There has never been a song recorded that tops this.

They really hit the epitome of harmonizing in Cherish, it just rises a rises. I think it was their biggest hit at least I remember it breaking the radio waves over and over again back then.
