Very interesting, similar bale mantapa still bigger and more in number we can see in Talakad Sri Pancha Lingeshwara temple. I think that was built during Ganga period or Chola period.
Definitely built during vijaynagar period but they tried hoysala as well as chola architecture but combination is amazing and new style emerged. I mesmerized and gagged excellent monument. Thanks for uploading
At the entrances, the sculpture shows the entry and exit symbols, the past historical culture was so brilliant and intriguing is clearly shown in the carvings. The technology of stone melting technic is interesting to notice in this temple...

Please be little slower when showing these carvings, they are going little fast, so having very less time to see them and know them and also please cover four sides of one pillar with their carvings and explaining who they are ..My favorite are pillars and ceilings, please do 360 degree shoot of them. These are beautiful and priceless national treasures therefore it's doubly sad & painful to see trash (by inscriptions )which are over a millennia old !!! Those Stone inscriptions need a good power wash and need to be shifted ( asap) to the closest national museum for further preservation !!!

The figures in carvings closely resemble ,the carvings in temples of Tamilnadu. Perhaps this temple was built during cholas rule
There was no Cholas and Gangas in 16th century . This was mostly constructed by Vijayanagara kings
