Bourdain was a f.-up alcoholic and drug user who mostly worked brunch lines before he switched to entertainment TV. His suicide was a result of his unhealthy lifestyle. Ironically, he always had this pose on his shows how he is an arbiter of taste in rock&roll, but what he liked was predominantly 3-chord punk rock.

Guy uses his fame and popularity to raise money and support for a lot of worthy causes. He cooked food (that he donated) for firefighters in California's wildfires. He supports small business restaurants and restaurant workers, both financially and by encouraging public support. He donates to young people looking for careers in the food industry. I've never heard him say anything mean or nasty about anyone. Can't say any of that about Bourdain.

It’s pretty obvious which side of the industry takes exception to Guy- real chefs (or at least those who grinded to greater pastures through their culinary careers). As a tv personality Guy might be corny but he’s very affective and has helped countless businesses. But as a chef/restauranteur he’s widely considered as a joke, kind of a culture vulture. I always loved when Anthony would take jabs at him (RIP ❤)

The main appeal of Fieri to me is his quick wit and joking around. He also knows how to pick his Triple D restaurants in a competent way - with a little help from his staff of course. I haven't yet been to a Dallas-Ft. Worth eatery his show visited that I didn't consider excellent. If you don't like him, do the same with the Triple D restaurants in the area where you live. I'm sure many of you will change your mind about his ability to pinpoint worthy food establishments that are not snobbish or cost an arm and a leg.

GF had a restaurant in NYC called "Guy's American Restaurant & Bar." Sorry to throw shade, but the food came cold, the chicken was rubbery & lacked service. My family did not care for their food either. This location was on 43rd Street, off of Broadway, and it was a week day at 4 pm. The place was dead. Because the wait staff must have been on a break, I had to go to the bar to request to speak to our waiter. FYI, this restaurant is now permanently closed. After only serving for 5 years, it closed down at the end of 2017.

I Have Been With The Food Network Since Day 1, ( NOW The Food Game Network 😢) Yes I Am Very Old. Not No More. I Feel I Loss My Best Friend.I Can't Stand The Man!! He Loves To Drop Names, That Hair?? He Is Loud, His Main Show Would Be So Much Better With More Focus On The Food And Restaurants. You Would Think The Food Network Would Learn Not To Put All There Eggs In One Basket. They Have Been Burnt Several Times. It's No Secret Guy And His Fan's Support The Hate Party. Plus He Can't Cook.

What I dislike about him is that when he goes to these restaurants and goes into asking the chefs how they create their meals ..he interrupts and takes over their conversations as if he knows better than they do what they are cooking and if that's the case ..then why bother asking them..he also judge them a lot especially when it comes to how much ingredients they used to cook their food..otherwise, he comes across as a Mr. Know It All

Guy is NOT Italian! He made it up when he opened up his restaurant. Not sure, but I assume it’s an Italian restaurant and he wanted to pass as an Italian.

I think he's bad for the FN. He has so much influence (the other is Bobby Flay and I can't stand him either) on programming and is probably why so many ITK shows have been axed, I'm surmising. Fieri teaches us how to eat unhealthfully and everybody just eats it up. No pun intended. I find the FN unwatchable.

    All I can say is,… whatever….. who gives a shit. I cook what I want when I want, with whatever I got. It’s good….. that’s all.
I don’t identify with rich people.

They are of two. Shows with classic hardcore techniques. Then again comfort food, hot dogs and hamburgers are food too. Burritos are food too. Arrogance and Vanity... let him be. If all you can do is talk about Guy, than your life must be lacking.

Guy Fieri is an absolute good in this world. Its fine if you think he's obnoxious or whatever, but if you actively dislike him you should probably take a good look in the mirror
