Check out their new film Nobody starring Emmy winner Bob Odenkirk as Hutch Mansell, an underestimated and overlooked dad and husband, taking life's indignities on the chin and never pushing back. A nobody. When two thieves break into his suburban home one night, Hutch declines to defend himself or his family, hoping to prevent serious violence. His teenage son, Blake, is disappointed in him and his wife, Becca, seems to pull only further away. The aftermath of the incident strikes a match to Hutch's long-simmering rage, triggering dormant instincts and propelling him on a brutal path that will surface dark secrets and lethal skills. In a barrage of fists, gunfire and squealing tires, Hutch must save his family from a dangerous adversary --and ensure that he will never be underestimated as a nobody again.

"you used to be an engineer"
If I had a nickel for every youtuber that applies to, I'd have a depressing amount of nickels
its honestly really funny and it's like an obvious pipeline, creativity, niche intrest, college drop out, youtuber, my favorite is when markiplier will just scream it after failing at ssomething an engineer would be able to do, KSP, polybridge etc.
most corporate engineering jobs are utter trash these days, yeah pays nicely enough sometimes but it's all become rinse and repeat spreadsheets with zero hands-on. dropped it and became a tool and die maker myself.
I was on my way to becoming an engineer when i decided to go to motor mechanics. No regrets. Im fixing all sorts of cars AND im going to go work at a race track soon
@@RubSomefastOnIt that's just most corporate jobs in general. While my experience is computer science, I know of plenty more traditional engineers who love their jobs after escaping the corporate environment
Some of them are just in denial of the fact that they're not engineers anymore.
4:39 LOL the way he says it "you could be my son!"
That guy training you seemed awesome and totally approachable. Universal were totally cool doing this. I can only imagine what most places would have said. Not only did they agree to it, set you up with pro’s and then didn’t even make you sign the most airtight contract selling your soul to the company. They didn’t even force you to say you loved the movie lol. Refreshing to see.
William is chaotic in a way that I find difficult to describe...like...it never feels like he is actively trying to bring chaos where he goes, it just follows him around and he has no control over it whatsoever
His lack of control over it only makes it more chaotic too
Yeah even his house burned down lol
it is an aura
I mean, at one point he lived with Michael Reeves, that makes it certain that it's the chaos that reaches out to William
He is the incarnation of chaotic good!
Hey Universal, I would have never watched that movie, just because, but now that I saw Big Willy here go through all this I will now go see it. Team up with him more.
facts
I was only mildly interested in the movie bwfore but I have now fully decided that I'm going to see it because William has sold me on it
@@andrewandrews8073 I had no idea it was even a thing until I saw this video.
I didn't even know about it but I really want to watch it now
I was gonna give it a look for Bob Odenkirk but now imma give it a double look for big willy
Bob Odenkirk was surprisingly awesome as an action star! Always loved him since Mr. Show.
This is a really good way to show cost/give perspective. The one thing not factored in was hours. The cost often goes to paying people to spend the hours on things like props, costumes, sets, and digital afterwork. The tedious work like making a bunch of breakaway plates costs the materials and hours. William doing it himself could save costs bc he's making everything he's not paying anyone to make things.
I love how William makes disastrous videos yet gets sponsored by the US Military and Hollywood. It's nonsensical and it makes it even better
When did he get sponsored from the military
@@cornnflaekk675 On an Egg Throw video. He was challenged by the Navy, he even boarded the Aircraft Carrier to throw the eggs

Hollywood is pretty disastrous and the US military has made some pretty poor decisions as far as lowering test standards to be all inclusive and whatnot

The algorithm is spiting you, after this video my next up was a how to guide on how to make a break away table. Never watched anything remotely similar
I hope videos like this could be a recurring show! This was really really cool! Amazed that a film studio would be cool enough to do something like this
"You used to be an engineer". God, I love it. William and Caretaker are an amazing comedy pair.

So glad to have you back man, don't forget to keep focusing on having fun!
LOL, your edits are gold. From the bits with Caretaker quipping you used to be an engineer and the baseball bat to the giving Bob Odenkirk the finger. Great stuff!
Ok now this is epic
WHAT I DIDN'T EXPECT YOU BEING HERE
You are an interesting character
Imagine if Universal Pictures asked Illy to animate a scene from Nobody for promotion
Here before this gets popular
Yes
You forgot the one key rule about breakaway tables, the one trick the WWE uses on them for safety: you cut halfway through the table in the middle to give it a place to break. If you dont give it an easy place for it to snap on the top, the most likely place to break first is the legs of the table, which generally leads to a bad time.
He tried that, just not well enough. He said he scored the table in multiple places so it was pretty thin and should have broken easier.
@@cloudsteele1989 i think scoring it in multiple places may actually be a bad idea, if you were to do 1 really deep score in the center, there is only 1 point of failure and you basically guarantee that it is going to break at that specific spot.
Honestly the best way would be to cut through it entirely and put a couple spots of glue to make it as tenuous as possible.
Honestly I think a bigger table top would have helped too. You want something where the impact force isn't well diverted over the legs. Plus the way he jumped the direction of the force wasn't normal to the table top thus not leading to the top breaking but instead shifting. So no wonder the legs just snapped off, considering he said he used hot glue.
if not the legs of the table, perhaps the legs of a man
This has actually made me rent and watch the aforementioned film, "Nobody" with Bob Odenkirk. Thanks William for recommending a great piece of art, I hope universal keeps sponsoring more of your content in the future for upcoming films.
The condescending way he said javascript was actually perfect
I like how his hair looks like he just woke up and decided to film.
That hair was the result of hours in makeup&hair to get that perfect 'I just woke up" look.

He's got a wicked receding hairline so he has to keep it long and messy. Weird to see such a youthful face with such an old hairline.
i love how universal refused to even let someone they're sponsoring use their music for that action scene

its a lot of paperwork and it might even not be their own song and william would have to pay copyrights
12:51 - legend says they're still trapped in theatres to this day!
This is a great video and I'm so glad you had this amazing opportunity
I feel like this video was cathartic for Chelsea, she got to hit William with a bat and now every time he comes up with a dangerous idea she can remind him of the table.
I think, from now on, Caretaker will make sure to keep enough bats on hand to hit William with.
My favorite part of this was when Bob Odenkirk sends William an email just to make fun of him.

Lots of people don’t know that Bob Odenkirk actually got started as a comedian, man’s hilarious. Makes sense why he sent an email roasting Will 😂
The scene was actually very good. I hope this doesn't sound mean but I liked Williams acting even more than the stunts. Especially his breathing in before he hit the first guy with the bat, you've got an Oscar in my heart.
