@1chibanKasuga i mean i wouldn't really consider mgsv "unfinished" anyway. the amount of cut content in that game was really not that significant to consider it an unfinished game imo. and when i say i wish ffxv had 3 or 4 more years of development, i mean after tabata took over. cuz it seemed like he pretty much had his shit together and i think with a few more years to cook he couldve made something way better than what we got. and i love the man, but the real problem with early ffxv development was nomura. most games he makes end up having super long development times, especially since the 2010s.
I love this, the world feels like it has so much more that we're not allowed to see. They really did an A+ job of building it, shame we didn't get our map editor.
This game would’ve been 10x more positively received if there were 90% less invisible walls and the movement physics weren’t so restrictively realistic. A higher jump unlockable ability and a double jump would’ve gone so hard.
I don't think it would have been 10x more positively received just because of more freedom, because while I love more freedom and agree with you, a lot of people don't care that much for that and the rest of the problems are too... problematic to be outweight by more freedom. But more freedom for sure would have been great, and on top of what you said, I would add free warp point, like being able to use warp points outside of battles and use that as traversal gameplay mechanic. Warp on top of a building, then warp from building to build etc.
@@Larxia the traversal/movement from Forspoken would have been perfect for this game honestly. And they could have at least added the rest of Altissia in some sort of DLC. It'a far too finished and beautiful to just leave it as cut content.

They are usually a bit sad and bitter as they show out of reach things in a analytical, remote and passive way, with an emphasis on the fact that the cut or OoB content will never be experienced as a game... But this is upbeat and lively, you make it look like it's a way the game was intended to be played, and seeing you enjoy that and portray it like it's actually part of the game brings so much more life and joy!
Thank you for this nice comment :) I indeed wanted to make a video about how it could have been if the game was meant to be played like this, making it look kind of "official". And it was really fun to play like this!

But it's obvious they didn't went all in because of a time constraint. I think they needed to release this game badly, because it went a development hell.
Altissia is one of the most unique cities in video games, in my opinion. I haven't seen any video game city that's structured as this. It's almost regrettable to the point that I want to listen to the lore on how the city was built from start until present day. Like various kings had different contributions to the construction like the city entrance and why there are huge statues built on both sides. I really hate Square Enix for building magnificent and unforgettable cities but not completely realizing it into a fully explorable city.
This game was meant to be a masterpiece from the start of this development since 2006. Square Enix really messed up, they've got blood in their hand and wasted so much potential here. Not Nomura's or Tabata's fault. It's the company's responsibility in this unfinished game. Period.

It's so saddening to see what we could have had and didn't because Nomura wasted 10 years dithering around, coming up with stupid ideas and more convoluted --oh, I'm sorry, -*-complex-*--- plots, or making nonsensical decisions like trying to turn FFXV into a *musical* at one point. Look, the guy that took over after him only had two years to salvage this game, because SE wasn't waiting any longer. The man's only good at character design. He shouldn't be allowed to have unrestrained creative control, since he can't stick to anything. To be fair, any other company would have fired him a long time ago.
ffxv is the elden ring of final fantasy, it was just unpolished in its world design and terribly paced story and has the worst main credit theme of the series, disregarding that, it is the game of all time. If it didn’t have the worst open world in gaming, It would have the best open world in gaming. I can’t explain it in any other way lol, the art direction carries the world. 9/10 game
I really, really don't think that FF XV has the "worst open world in gaming", there are much worse open world games. For example these days I'm playing Hogwarts Legacy and oh boy... It would be too long to explain all my complaints, but basically you have all the icons everywhere you don't discover anything by yourself, and sometimes you will explore a place, there's nothing there, and few hours later a NPC tell you to go there and now there is something, it's incredibly frustrating, and the activties are so repetitive, it's insane lol I mean I agree XV doesn't have the best open world, I would have liked more towns / cities in particular, but a lot of people actually complain about the "empty spaces", and I actually liked them. I think that spaces without quests, just wild spaces, are meant to exist in open worlds, it feels good free roaming without being interupted by side quests every 30 seconds. I just wish the world was bigger with more cities, but the wild lands in themselves are fine for me.
FF15 should be separated in 3 parts, 1st part end in this city,2nd in fall asleep,3rd back to own country. Game crashed because no budget and remake and remake and remake......
FF XV is my favourite game but that doesnt change the fact that game uses %10 of its potential.

Wasted potential, can be a great game if they made everything explorable. The game is just average good.
neat
It's so saddening to see what we could have had and didn't because Nomura wasted 10 years dithering around, coming up with stupid ideas and more convoluted --oh, I'm sorry, -*-complex-*--- plots, or making nonsensical decisions like trying to turn FFXV into a *musical* at one point. Look, the guy that took over after him only had two years to salvage this game, because SE wasn't waiting any longer.
The man's only good at character design. He shouldn't be allowed to have unrestrained creative control, since he can't stick to anything. To be fair, any other company would have fired him a long time ago.
Mejor un remake del XV
game looks great but theres nothing in it
ffxv is the elden ring of final fantasy, it was just unpolished in its world design and terribly paced story and has the worst main credit theme of the series, disregarding that, it is the game of all time.
It would be too long to explain all my complaints, but basically you have all the icons everywhere you don't discover anything by yourself, and sometimes you will explore a place, there's nothing there, and few hours later a NPC tell you to go there and now there is something, it's incredibly frustrating, and the activties are so repetitive, it's insane lol
I mean I agree XV doesn't have the best open world, I would have liked more towns / cities in particular, but a lot of people actually complain about the "empty spaces", and I actually liked them. I think that spaces without quests, just wild spaces, are meant to exist in open worlds, it feels good free roaming without being interupted by side quests every 30 seconds. I just wish the world was bigger with more cities, but the wild lands in themselves are fine for me.
@@Larxia Honestly just wished there were more enemy types out in the wild, its mostly the same handful of animals
FF15 should be separated in 3 parts, 1st part end in this city,2nd in fall asleep,3rd back to own country. Game crashed because no budget and remake and remake and remake......
this game was ruined by it's crappy story
the story was acc good tho 🤔 I pretty much enjoyed the game but to each their own
