I quite like that boat, especially what I perceive as dog PFDs. The folding seat cushion is nice; versions of them have been around in the States for a couple-few decades for people sitting in aluminum bleachers at lengthy sporting events. They make them with arm rests and cup holders now too.

After watching over a hundred of your videos already, I was really taken by this boat. The word that came to mind was - comfy. Especially since you mentioned people who might not be too comfortable on the water, this is essentially a really safe place to be for them and the cabin gives even more sound protection from the outboard engine. The possible military applications with those rocket launchers are endless, too! Great little boat, thank you for the tour, Mr. Burnham!

A commuter boat. Sometimes unique things are simply unique. What a wonderful situation to be in - a job and home situated such that driving a boat to and from work becomes commonplace. While the boat is as unique as it's intended purpose, it has the hallmark of a proper, stout boat that will carry it's passengers in comfort. Cheap isn't the proper title, but cost effective fits the bill. Nick, as long as you can keep finding and showing us "unique" boats, we'll be here to enjoy your efforts. Thanks for sharing.

A great little boat. Ideal for the UK climate. The one burner galley is also fine. A few Tupperware containers with

Great little sport utility boat. Outboards are great for northern climates because you don’t have to worry about a cracked block should you decide to pull it out in the middle of winter. Plus you can get into the shallows and still power around at slow speed.
Thanks Nick for bringing us this sturdy, versatile weekender.

Interesting, the 2022's must have an updated helm. We just had a C9 X edition show up to Canada two weeks ago, it has the thruster where the tab controls are, all the back lit buttons are to the port side of the wheel, trim tab control is relocated below that.
    As always, great tour Nick!

Since it does have rod holders, I'd like it to have a couple more feet of room on the back for two people to fish. I guess that would be the C11 though. Put an AC unit to cool off the inside and it would be great on the Gulf of Mexico. I like this boat. Great video. Thanks Nick.

    • @plebiansociety
      @plebiansociety 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

a closed back version with an outboard extension and replace the rear seat with a freezer/livewell. I've only once fished off a swim platform and didn't enjoy the experience, the feeling of playing tug of war with a big fish that if you lose you end up swimming isn't very fun. wouldn't really need 2 more meters, just square off that back V shaped deck with an extension would make it C10. AC could be handled by replacing the heater with a heat pump, it's already piped.

...Love the simplicity of this boat and its great layout; and it fun to watch your exceptionally thorough walkthrough/tours... I add the rest of this comment b/c in your video (at 10:06) you say: "...I think the major thing with this is just how easy it would be to use..." -- so I say: please come to the USA and provide/do reviews of MJM 35, 42, and 53z/zi yachts (I don't work for them or sell them -- just a big fan of their simplicity, functionality, and features). As always, thank you for posting THIS review -- a truly exceptional boat design as shown imho.

Tidy boat for the job it was designed for .. or even a waterborne taxi between points.
Though you might want to go desiel power and opt for greater economy of running rather than 40kn top end .
It would also make a useful river/estuary/port police or security vessel. Quick nimble and with good visibility and 24 hr. 4season operability.

I can only find those Nimbus sun chairs on the Nimbus Webshop but they have a shipping fee of close to £50 per item to the UK 😲

If I could I would gift you this one, Nick. It would suit you pretty well. Maybe in an more open format, though.

    Wait, no crew quarters? j/k
I'm fascinated by the crew quarters on the larger boats. Sometimes they are really nice and other times it just seems like the designers shove them into some small nook somewhere.

If this boat were used as a tender, the 'small' cabin would suddenly seem 'palatial' as crew quarters!

Was thinking perhaps the boat builder missed an opportunity to convert the main seat in the bridge to a bed settee?
