    Thank you for mentioning the price.
    Beats having to snoop around the net for an approximate one.

    Thank you for the review of this boat. I have been collecting and comparing reviews on this boat because I am looking at from a business point of view.

    Having watched endless videos of boats coming in an out of Haulover Inlet in Miami, that part of the world just worships boats like this - centre-console party boats with big outboards (and plenty of them). They are an enormously popular style of boat and perfect for places where it's warm/hot and sunny and the Nimbus T11 will fit in perfectly there. Personally, I don't understand the appeal as they are such narrow-focus 'good time' boats so I find it hard to take them seriously. Still, this is an excellent example of the style and I'm sure it will sell will in the right market as its a classy package.

      center console party boats often have way more deck space than this offers for fishing and such (what centers consoles came out of) It looks like Nimbus was trying to get there but when you consider that outboards are only an add-on, the whole boat just appears to be a shody Swiss Army knife.

    Just took a sea trial on this boat in 3-4’ solid seas with some confusion to the conditions and we were comfortably doing 25-30 kts and not spilling our coffee and having a blast. Lots of confidence and it doesn’t feel like a 40’ boat yet offers much more volume and weekending a over an Axopar yet still fun to drive

    Nice boat but the Axopar would still be my choice

    The second sleeping quarters is like a dungeon.
    I would use it for storage only, way to claustrofobic.
    .
    Apart from that, nice boat, very complete but not fair to compare it to the Axopar (closed cabin).
    The Axopar is, I think, more stylish, sleeker and faster too.

  • @thomaslavigne711
    @thomaslavigne711 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Axopar 37 for the money is a much faster better handling and gas saving/efficient weekend boat that rides like a charm with a twin step hull for choppy and large waves. Oh ya Axopar 37 is about $100,000. US cheaper than the Nimbus T11 at $350,000.00

  • @C5drummer

    I absolutely appreciate how well-done this is showing the features of the boat, etc., but music over the sea trial is a little disappointing...Guess more info will be in the magazine article? One thing I noticed at the end...Everything looked soaked on the boat at the end of the sea trial and the waterway didn't look all that choppy of a day, including running through the camera boat's wake. Not sure if passengers would appreciate so much salt spray. Of course, the wind may have been howling that day as a crosswind, I'm guessing. I've never been on a Nimbus, but it looks like it might be a bit of a wet boat while running. Maybe not...Maybe I just don't understand European boat design as well. :)
    Nonetheless, its still well done for an overview.

    I would have preferred to hear the boat and engine not lift music. The interior was very good, loved the separate heads. Handling, having driven the Axopar more than once or twice, I think it has the edge on handling and is a £150 k cheaper dependent on fit out. As the saying goes , you pay's your money and take's your choice. Very nice and a lot cheaper than pursuits, scouts and whalers.

  • @KevLaj

    A not very subtle rip off of the Axopar! I'd choose the Axopar 37 XC over this every time. Much better value. A T-top boat of this size in British waters would be a brave choice.

    • @BilldalSWE
      @BilldalSWE 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thats like comparing apples and oranges... The Nimbus C11 would be the closest Nimbus equivalent to the 37 XC. Totally agree that Axopars offers fantastic value. (I have a 28AC myself) But the fit and finishes on any Nimbus is a step up from Axopar (or from most boats the same size) and the extra length and higher freeboards in this case will make a difference in rough seas.

    At the cruising speed of 32 knots the rpm? Do you know what was the consumption and the rpm at the speed of 27 - 30 knots?

    • @MotorBoatYachting
      @MotorBoatYachting  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      At 32 knots the RPM is 5,000. At 27 knots, the rpm is 4,500 and the consumption is 85lph.

    I mean it's a beautifully engineered boat, I'm not sure I understand the appeal though. Dayboat with fishing capabilities? What is the mission for this boat?

    • @colintraveller
      @colintraveller 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It does look it has potential for being a fishing boat .. but for 350,000 NAHHHH You would want the helm to be better secured from the elements as it is it's far too open

    • @hpqzhpqz9688
      @hpqzhpqz9688 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@colintraveller Agree. Down here in New Zealand the modifications I would want to to make to set it up for fishing with some closed in space topside for protection when running in rough seas mean I would murder about half of it. Plenty of far more practical options around for less money.
      I like it though. Looks like a lot of fun, built for a different market is all. Maybe if I ever find myself in the Bahama's or Florida.

  • @colintraveller

    Looks more like something that would be more suited as a boat that would reside in the hull of a Large Yacht . As for everyday use especially here in the UK!!. You would have to have serious balls .. to endure the crap cold weather that is the norm for the UK .. and the open stern why !! .
    I noticed that that the sun bathing pads on the bow .. isn't well secured if the wind was any stronger it would be ripped off and also noticed seating had water spray on it ..
    Why ruin the demo with by adding music ????? Care to explain that please

    Been waiting for this, my problem with this boat is the rear seating, it’s trying to hard to do too many things, I would prefer a big full width u seating area, how many times do you really want to take 9 people out on a day boat, yep that’s right none

    • @BilldalSWE
      @BilldalSWE 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nimbus is Swedish. In Sweden (and Norway/Finland) it's very common to take loads of people out over the day since you don't actually stay on the boat. You'd moor bow first on any of the tens of thousands of small islands like this th-cam.com/video/6yuz-HIUIIw/w-d-xo.html
      That said I can absolutely see the T-top version do well as a dayboat in the Med or Florida if you just don't fill upp all 9 seats. Or as a tender to larger yachts.

    • @rwg2626
      @rwg2626 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      GötetSWE yep did have a Aquador 26 and it was so much boat for its size for when I lived in Jersey, but also a med dayboat

    • @dennied7826
      @dennied7826 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I could see this being used as a tender or people hauler sort of a boat, as even a weekender this thing is a bit of an odd duck in its layout and thats not even coming to the price, for forty feet and $350K I'm just not seeing it.

  • @user-dd3ny6ni2p

    What is the cruise speed at what rpm and what is the consumption at this speed?
    How many people are you on the boat during the test and how many liters of water and petrol did you have?

    • @MotorBoatYachting
      @MotorBoatYachting  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Her fast cruising speed is 32 knots, at that speed the consumption is 105lph for a range of 209nm. Slowing down to 9.5 knots boosts the range to 280nm. We tested with a crew of 2 people, carrying 510l of fuel (60% full) and 135l of water.

    I don’t get it. Why such a hideously cramped interior in a big hull.
    The 2nd. cabin is a joke, useful as storage space but not much else.
    For the same price you could buy a nice used cruiser with two proper en-suite cabins.

    Mate, please accept this constructive criticism. I have watched a couple hundred of videos from motor boat and yachting. If you wish to proceed as a PRESENTER, you really need to develop your vocal presentation. Your delivery is so halting as to be painfully distracting. You get maybe 4-6 words before an autistic pause. Not insurmountable. Rehearse , pre-plan. As it is your delivery really distracts from every presentation you give. you have an excellent voice. But your halting delivery is PAINFUL. IM sorry, mate to be blunt. you r content really is excellent and i want to see you to continue to deliver it more smoothly and in the long term.
