I definitely agree! Smaller cons are a good place for younger people who are more anxious in crowds/are new to the fandom. It's like a stepping stone. There's luckily a small(er) con about an hour and a half away from me and I'm hoping to go there just as much as I'm hoping to go to Anthrocon one day in the future.
I keep on forgetting this channel is furry bc of the icon and sciency name.

I was only to one convention, I've been in the fandom for 4 years... I enjoy that it was a smaller one though because it was my very first convention. I went to a meetup last year and loved it, in fact, its so local to where I live I could practically go every year!

Whoa.... I was there. It was my first con and I had no idea really what was going on but I remember so many of these people. Cool to see a video of it. I specifically remember that protogen suit and I thought it was like... a motorcyclist suit thing? I didn't know what a protogen was at the time. Lmao.

Thanks for the vid! I’m 26 and Furlandia 2019 was my first fur con. I have some social anxiety so I didn’t really talk to anyone but I want to go next year and hopefully make some furry friends.
One of the biggest things to realize is as long as your not intrusive, almost anyone will be willing to talk to you at a furry convention.

Fantastic video and we absolutely agree with your comments about smaller conventions. There was a lot less noise and it was much calmer than bigger conventions. Very good if you need a bit less noise and such. We are so glad we got to see you and can't wait till the next opportunity! Once again, this video was excellent!

Smaller cons are a great start to people who would otherwise be overwhelmed to the mass that is larger cons. I for one had the option to attend TFF, but I decided against it and instead will be attending AWU. The plus to this is I will be seeing friends there along with it.
So one this year I decided to bring my dad to furlandia. He loved it even though he is not a furry. The next day I saw him looking at furry t shirts. Lol.
